They are outstanding. They are very holistic in their approach. They consider your physical being, your mental being, and your spiritual being.

    Neurology Of Arkansas
Overall, things went well.I was seen within minutes of my scheduled appt time. The procedure I needed done had a bit of discomfort associated with the nature of the testing, but Dr. McCoy and staff took every measure to ensure I was as comfortable as possible. Test results were ready within a couple of days at my regular doctor's office.A good experience overall, and while I do not hope to require further neurology services, I do know I will feel comfortable with Dr. McCoy in my corner.

    Alonzo Burba MD
Friendly, warm, and a very good listener, this "old fashioned" physician (he still takes his notes by hand) is completely patient-centered. Knowledgeable and thorough, he has helped me immeasurably--and not only neurologically. For example, he suggested I consider changing my hypertension medication to one demonstrated efficacious by the H.O.P.E study (Heart Outcomes Prevention Evaluation), which he told me to read online, and I did. It's an impressive study that included the effects of Ramipril, an ACE inhibitor.  As a result, I talked with my Primary Care Physician and she changed me to that medication from the one I had been taking for years but made my legs swell. Now my swelling is gone and my PB is significantly lower. He also educated me about other aspects of my health care that were tangential to my immediate neurological concern but definitely related to my comprehensive health. This doc is a treasure. He obviously loves his work and cares deeply about his patients. I've had two visits with him now, the last one devoted to neurological testing, which yielded immediate results that Dr. Burba thoroughly explained to me right then and there. He takes as much time as you need and will go into as highly detailed an explanation as you request..   A member of his staff told me Dr. Burba's initial profession was as an electrical engineer. Then he went to med school and was in Family Practice for years, but went later back to med school to specialize in neurology. That broad background, coupled with his innate ease with people, no doubt has yielded his wide scope of knowledge and experience. His practices by himself (with a diverse staff) in a house that's hardly a showplace. If the physical environment of an office matters a great deal to you, be prepared to decide whether the trade off between top-notch medical care and a worn-around-the-edges office is worth it to you. It certainly is to me. Also, Dr. Burba might be running behind the appointment schedule, because he takes the time each patient needs, you included.

I loved my time with the counselor at Thriveworks.  The entire staff was more than friendly and accommodating.  This group is very professional and I was able to make an appointment very quickly after my first call with them.  When I went to the initial appointment I felt comfortable right away and was able to start sharing my struggles and concerns without reservation.  The counselor was very friendly and understanding of the issues that I was sharing with her.  We planned strategies together from the very beginning so I was able to experience relief and progress immediately.  This was so encouraging for me and I really looked forward to my appointments every week because I knew how productive my time with her would be.  She was able to give me so many tools that allowed me to set the pace for my own success and that I can carry with me in the future.  I loved everything about my experience and would highly recommend the services there.

I was scheduled for the appointment by my primary care doctor.  Before the appointment, Dr. Mason's office called and reviewed my information.  They then sent a packet of information for me to complete before my appointment, I was also told to be prepared to bring a payment of approximately $100.  When I arrived at the office, the receptionist took my packet and scanned my drivers license and insurance card.  She then took my payment and gave me a few more forms to complete.  My wait time to be brought to the back was about 30 minutes.  The nurse who took me back to an exam room was very nice.  She asked appropriate questions and opened the disk with the MRI scans so the doctor could review them with me.  Dr. Mason came in about 10 minutes later.  He reviewed my scans and the accompanying reports and pointed out to me on the scans the locations of concern.  He then explained my treatment options.  He recommended a plan of physical therapy and steroid injections to treat the pain first.  If those were not helpful, then surgery would be an option.  He then wrote a script for physical therapy and said that I could take it to anyone in my area whom I preferred.  Next he had his nurse schedule a follow up visit and a surgery date just in case we needed that option because his surgeries were already booked for the next several weeks.  Then his nurse gave me the information for the epidural steroid injections and proceeded to contact that doctor's office to set up that procedure.  The doctor and staff were very polite and helpful.  I liked that he reviewed my scans with me and showed me what concerned him then explained to me why.  I liked that the nurse helped me schedule my appointments and pre-scheduled the surgery so that if I needed it, I would not have to wait too long.  Fortunately the treatments have worked and we have cancelled the surgery appointment.
