    Total disaster to say the least!!!! I felt sorry for the employees who did try to make a go of it. Also, this is a moving company that arrives with no tool bag, so my husband had to lend out tools and help them. At the new home the old bearded employee without asking to use a restroom stunk up the house. All professional companies I have used in the past always ask and to be directed to what facility they can use. I still to this day cannot get a receipt for the move. Mr. Reed claims his hard drive was fried and couldn't email one. Really!!!! This was July 14th and still no receipt??? Today is July 30th and still nothing! Like he couldn't mail one or whatever? What business goes without a computer this long. The most deceptive, rotten, unprofessional ever!!!!

    Started with a general internet inquiry.  Trevor Whitfield, salesperson for Alliance Moving Services, responded by phone and said all of the correct things.  (I never noticed that he only would correspond by phone until after the fact).  Of course, all of the things that I wanted him to say (and believed) turned out to be lies, so if you're told to expect a call a couple of days before your "move window" letting you know which day the movers will be there, you won't get a call and the company will deny any responsibility for giving you a call. If you're told that your stuff will show up in 2 (or even 3) days, it's a lie.  The contract that you'll sign will give the company 21 days, and they intend to take all of it.
    I spoke with the company over a dozen times, starting 4 days before the move, when Trevor promised we'd get a call.  They could tell us nothing in advance.  We were told that the day before the move, the mover would give you a call.  At one point, I spoke with Jon Edwards, supposedly the President of the company, and he told me the moving company would not be able to move us in the "move window" which was in the contract.  Instead of remorse or an apology, I received instructions on what I should say to our new home buyer and the closing company about needing a few extra days.  Suffice it to say, we were not given a few extra days by the buyer, we had to rent a separate U-Haul and move ourselves into the U-Haul, and then wait for the movers to show up a day late.
    When the movers showed up a day late (the movers hired by Alliance because, I suspect, other plans had fallen through) they were out of Dallas, and instead of taking our furniture to WI, which was what Trevor committed to over the phone, they were told to take our belongings back to Dallas, and then move them up within the next 2 - 3 weeks.  Because we were outside of the contract (they showed up a day late), and because we had already packed everything into a U-Haul, we decided to move ourselves.
    Alliance then threatened to withhold our downpayment because - according to Alliance - we refused the attempt of the movers to move us on the contracted day.  Here's what happened - after we loaded our own U-Haul and went through closing on the house, we received a call from the movers at 8pm.  They had just arrived in our town with another load, would need 2 - 3 hours to unload that load, and then would be exhausted.  They asked if it would be okay to move us the following morning.  At this point, it didn't make any difference to us, so I approved their request.  
    Alliance is taking the position that since I did not insist that the movers move us at 11pm at night, I was responsible for the day delay.  Be very wary of this company - trust nothing that is said, and read your contract very carefully.  The company knows this contract well, and will constantly throw the contents back in your face, and takes absolutely no responsibility for anything their salespeople say.

    Razorback Moving & Storage
    Their employees were rude and discourteous. They did not fully expedite the packing and it was left to us (the customer) to point out obvious omissions. They were loud and boisterous, clearing not wanting to finish up the job.  We were told in no uncertain terms that it was OUR job to clean up after them. They left their dirty cups, bottles, and cans strewn all over the house as well as other trash and debris. The front entry floor was covered with dirt and sticky substance, possibly a spilled drink. Upon returning from closing, we found they had gouged the hardwood floor in three places and tried to cover it up with a black magic marker. There was a large hole in the wall in the hallway.  Neither of these glaring issues were brought to our attention or even mentioned.  When unloading at the new residence, the "foreman" was condescending and rude.  He chastised me for not being in my "place" to tell other employees where to unload boxes. When, in fact, I was answering a question from another one of the movers. At the end of the move, the foreman called the owner on his cell phone and discussed the number of movers and the time spent. The cost of the move was far greater ($4,854.10 check #1016 which was cashed on 9/2/14) than was originally estimated. While we understand that more people were enlisted to help and the move took longer than first also must be noted that the crew spent an inordinate amount of time at the top of the driveway...making loud conversations and kidding each other...while there was still many things to be packed and moved. There was at least another half a truck of items that had to be boxed and packed. There were several things that were known at that time which were damaged and/or broken. While we understand that accidents do happen, we also were under the agreement that we would be compensated for the breakage. We bought extra insurance for that exact purpose. For several days after the move to made several attempts {9/3/14 @ 3:11p,9/5/14 @ 4:20p,9/11/14 @ 11:07a, to contact the agent that had been our contact with Razorback Moving and Storage.  After several days, she did return my call and we spent about 45 minutes on the phone (9/11/14) discussing the aforementioned concerns.  She assured me that a company-wide meeting was scheduled and jobs would be lost. I stated that it was not our intent for people to lose their jobs, but to be trained so that no one else would ever have to experience what we had gone through with Razorback Moving and Storage. Since we were doing construction at our new residence, I asked how long we had in order to file a claim. I was told 90 days. In process of unpacking I found many more broken and damaged items. I was not surprised as the boxes were poorly packed and items were not properly wrapped. After completing the unpacking, we tried repeatedly and unsuccessfully to contact both the sales agent and the owner. I tried from my cell phone and our home phone...never did I get a response. Finally, our daughter was visiting and I asked to borrow her phone to try and see if I could get through. Imagine my surprise when the owner answered his phone! I told him my concerns and he assured me that the agent would handle everything to my satisfaction and she would be contacting me immediately. NOT to my surprise, she has yet to respond to our repeated calls and emails. I have pictures and text messages that I would be happy send as further verification. As of this date, February 5, 2015, we have had no comment or contact with any representative of Razorback Moving and Storage. We feel they have been disrespectful, dishonest and totally unprofessional in handling our move and subsequent dealings with them.  We are asking for a fair market replacement value for all items broken and damaged in the move on August 27th and 28th, 2014. We are also asking for a rebate on hours paid for but not worked in the packing process.  It is through this process we are hoping to spare any other unsuspecting customer the aggravation, frustration and cost of doing business with Razorback Moving and Storage.

    1st Place Movers
    They pulled a NO-SHOW! We had a 3pm appt. We tried to contact them at 5 pm, 6pm & 7:30pm. No one ever called us back. We had hired them to move furniture out of our 3 story home into a storage POD because painters were scheduled to start the following morning. In hind sight the person who initially answered the phone when i called to book the appt was rude, which should have been a clue to walk/run away.(I think his name was Al) But based on other positive reviews I scheduled it anyway. Now I wonder if those glowing reviews are truly legitimate. Beware of this company - they are unreliable!!!

    The booker for this move was Moovers but the carrier ended up being National Van Lines. An old unmarked moving van was used. The crew stuffed our furniture and house goods in, along with at least 3 other clients.  When the truck arrived at our location, the driver had trouble getting together a crew of movers.  Then, the driver could not get the truck up a hill to our house.  All our goods had to be reloaded into a smaller moving van, that took 2 trips to transfer.  We were charged another $843.00 to complete the move.  A large (door size) mirror was broken.  Our expensive exercise equipment ended up with tears in the upholstery.  They did not put any packing materials around the equipment.  The boxed household goods came through fine.  The driver was very courteous and apologetic. He didn't deserve the problems he had getting a moving crew together.  Under the circumstances, I would never recommend or use this company again!

    Razorback Moving & Storage
    They were on time but they didn't bring any of the supplies I was told that they would like boxes and tape. We had to provide all of that. They were fast but that seemed to be their only priority. Most of the boxes were packed upside down so later when they were handled and stored for our move things were broken. It seems a simple thing to use the boxes up right. Chemicals that could have reacted with each other were thrown into boxes together and not labeled at all. Some boxes were miss labeIed or not labeled at all. They packed liquids that I had missed removing and they spilled in transit ruining some of our things. I expected some one a bit more professional but these were just a bunch of guys who didn't seem to know what they were doing. They were nice though. You get what you pay for. I would rather have spent a bit more money for a crew that was really professionals.

    Two Men and A Truck
    Seeing a brand new truck that still has temporary plates show up was a good sign that you were going to take good care of our things.

    Everything went exactly as discussed - final amount, dates of move.

    The guys (actually four guys and two trucks :) ) were all in uniform, pleasant, and even asked permission to use the restroom.

    My few requests for special handling were accommodated.

    It took them only 2 1/2 hours to load our 4 bedroom house.

    Turn Back Time Movers
    They arrived when they said they would and completed the job in about an hour less than the estimated ten hours. The house we were leaving is 2700 sq' and two stories. They sent two trucks and a trailer, which were all filled; an original crew of four was supplemented after the first hour by two more men. They were all competent and professional, as well as easy to talk to and very informative when we had questions. As far as I could tell, there was no damage to any of our possessions. The company owner / supervisor checked in twice with us during the move. The company's efficiency was impressive. The owner, who gave us the estimate, told us they could put all our belongs in a 10 x 30 sq' storage unit. I didn't believe it, but contracted for the space as recommended. He was exactly right. With an eye for detail that amazed me, and the necessary patience, the crew member who supervised the loading and the unloading fit the load into the storage unit - floor to ceiling - with just enough room to pull down the door (on the second try, after a quick rearrangement of our out door patio set). Remarkable! Our experience confirmed the reviews we had read on Angie's List. You don't have to go with the and quot;nameand quot; companies, just do your homework. In addition to the cost noted above, we added on $50 more per man. I don't know if that is traditional, but it was deserved.

    Ken and Chris did a very excellent, careful, courteous and safe job of unpacking my grand piano and bringing it into my house and setting it up. They were very nice and very efficient and so very careful with my prized piano. They called twice the day of delivery to keep me informed of the schedule so I would be inconvenienced.
