    Get-ER-Done Handyman Services
Get-ER Done was amazing. Eddie's price was about half of other estimates I received. Plus I wanted to buy my own water heater and have it delivered. He said he'd pick it up and bring it and save me the delivery charge. Then I had trouble getting the time to go and buy it for him to pick up! So he said he'd buy the one I wanted and bring it. He would only charge me what he paid for it with no mark up and no delivery fee. So I did that. He brought the receipt showing what he paid which had the store's taxes added BUT he used is contractor discount to buy it so saved me $17 + cents. He came in with the water heater and 2 helpers that were older gentlemen - which I felt more secure with since I've had trouble with the younger contractors. In one hour they were done and took the old water heater with them to dispose of, and once again - at no additional charge. I call that service! But it didn't end there. Eddie had told me I should have hot water in about an hour. I was busy with outside work all that day and didn't think to check it so when I came in - about 7 hours later - I had no hot water. So I called Eddie. He came right over and explained to me that a wire had fallen loose after wires were put down inside water heater during the connection, so it was only getting 110 power. He fixed it and also adjusted my temperature a little for me - no additional charge. He told me anytime - 24 hours a day - if there's a problem with something his company does - call him and he'll come immediately - even if it's 2 in the morning! He did say he doesn't do emergency services anymore - but he will stand by his work immediately any time of day. Then - on top of that! He told me again that I should have hot water in about an hour. I was watching the clock, but got busy and was on the phone with a distant relative when the hour was up, so decided I'd check hot water after the phone call. He called me during that call! After I hung up, I checked hot water - it was hot - and called him back to let him know I was good. He was just interested to know if everything was OK and took the initiative to call me and check on me when he didn't hear from me in an hour - and that was AFTER 8 that evening. I can't say enough good about Get-ER Done! Eddie looked at some other issues I have with the house and gave me great advice (for free) and pricing for some work I'll be getting him to do for me in the future. He explained the work he priced for me and how and why he would do it the way he priced. I definitely recommend him for anybody - especially if you're a new widow like me - trying to figure all this out. It is very risky to take on someone to help you when you don't know what they're talking about and when you're vulnerable. I was taken advantage of and stolen from by a relative of a friend who said they wanted to 'help' me with things in this house - and it was a pretty bad experience. Since then I was afraid to even try someone else! I have complete confidence and feel secure in using Eddie. I trust his knowledge and professionalism and am confident that if something came up he didn't know how to take care of, he would tell me and be up front and honest with me.

I called at 8am this morning (a Saturday) and their tech "Bill" called me back promptly.  I explained my problem and he gave me a very realistic expectation and my options to have him come out today or the regular Mon-Fri schedule.  I decided to have him come out today to address the problem expecting the repairs to cost me around $500.  He arrived promptly and fixed the problems as quickly as possible.  It ended up costing a Hundred dollars less than I was prepared for.  Would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

    Get-ER-Done Handyman Services
Stated to all that would take 1 1/2 weeks, at most 2.
    3 weeks later NOT complete
Not completed: Floors, painting, doors, plumbing, tub attachments, trim, and fans/lights
Had to redo most of plumbing (it was flowing upward)
    Ceramic tile grout is cracking
Spent much time redoing mistakes of his own and his untrained employees
Lost parts in closed with newly purchased item
Very surprised whenever turned on tub shower to see fixture go flying across tub (had not accounted for 1/2 MIPS threads needed and now must tear into that....THEN on top of that the drain leaked, not a little, a lot BECAUSE he had pried a piece of wood to attempt to force down pipe in order to drain.... This not only knocked loose the fittings but also cracked new ceramic grout above
Cut railing for closet door that was not supposed to be cut (promised part never received)
Several times employees didn't show (contract for 3 men) never had three experienced men and insisted time and again to count young friend of one employee as 'a man'
Cut huge chunks out for plumbing thus potential for weakening floor
Painted rooms prior to sparkling hole of previous light fixtures (shows up dramatically)
Short cut plaster on top of one bath believing wouldn't be seen... paint anyway
Allowed silver solder to drop any where
Allowed PVC cement to drop any where
Miss cut door hinge versus door frame
Left mess where cleaning painting equip
Insisted texturizing was 'painting' (looks like I have 'clouds')
Used 2 1/2 brad nails to install trim onto wall where pocket door located (scratched up door) and never even attempted to rectify even though you could hear the etching sound and even see the scratches
Took time to shop for and spend money on unnecessary items (ex: plumbed 15 feet were could have easily tied in at 7 feet
Seriously I could go on... The more I work to complete this job, the more frustrated I become.  I should sue in small claims but can't really bring myself to do that. Not sure how this guy is even on Angie's list he is definitely NOT set up for rehabbing.  Maybe an odd job here or there but nothing on a scale that I need and continue to need.  I'm sure he means well but just not capable.
WARNING If you use this guy.... BID the detailed job, don't allow him to say he will have this many men and will charge this amount.
I hope this keeps others from having to go through what I have.  I've had much better performance from a company on a free site and one that was a reference.
I have wondered if some of the other 'A' ratings are "family and friends" especially since  a couple were done during the time he was suppose to be working for us.

The experience was great. The guy was one of the greatest I have ever had. I have spent so much with other people that he gave me a break. He did the work in no time and guaranteed it. He has a nice attitude. I didn't get his name, but I would love to get his name.

No one would ever return our call. Even showed up at location and no one available to help. Told they would call, never did. Lousy way to start relationship. Won't recommend.

Took a long while for them to get around to us. They seem to be really busy. I guess this verifies they are good at their jobs.
