    Floorworks LLC
I hired Floorworks to install our new ceramic tile and they did a fantastic job for a great price. Their selection for materials was great and their installers did a professional job and cleaned up after the job was complete. A+ company.

I have used Floorworks on several projects and they have always done a great job, completed them in a timely manner and their prices were very fair. I wouldn't use anyone else.

    Quality Essential Renovations LLC
I am very dissatisfied with Quality Essentials Renovations (QE). I hired them to replace the shingles on my main home and also the metal awning over my 4-car carport. They showed up as promised for my estimate, climbed up on the roof, took pictures, and provided me with a full report of wind/hail damage for $100. They impressed me with their quick professional sounding “roof-speak”. They are knowledgeable about how homeowners insurance works and helped guide me through that process. On September 19, 2019, a crew replaced shingles on my main home, and the metal roofing over my carport. I was informed that someone would return to perform a final “Quality Assurance Inspection, which simply meant one of their own representatives would climb up on the roof to inspect for proper installation. No “inspector” ever came back despite my numerous requests. I needed that final inspection before I could obtain my roof warranty documents. In the meantime, within 3 weeks of the installation, rains came and my metal roofing began leaking in at least 4 places. I attempted to contact QE for several months to ask if they would come look at my leaking metal roof and perform that final inspection. Occasionally, they would respond and promise to send someone, but no one ever came. Excuse after excuse. I texted them pictures of the leaks. Finally, on October 29th, I received disturbing texts from the representative informing me 1) “Safety comes first and I’m not allowed to go climbing up a wet ladder. 2) “this drip is happening on the exterior portion of your home. It’s not damaging anything”. (How would he know, he hadn’t come to see it yet). 3) “There are other service calls that take priority”, and lastly he texted this 4) “Not sure what else I can say but your welcome for getting your roof paid for, your welcome for not charging you your deductible, your free upgrade and o yeah putting insurance funds back into your pocket”. Those are his exact words/spellings taken from his texts. How’s that for customer service? I have no clue what “free upgrade” he is referring to, there is no mention of it in my contract. I will verify that I did indeed pay my deductible. My insurance company took it directly from the settlement disbursement. On October 27, 2019, I took action through the Better Business Bureau. This prompted another unprofessional text from QE …”Filing a BBB complaint is not going to make the scheduling any faster, and I really find it insulting”. Yes, he actually said that. He found it insulting? I found it insulting that I had a newly installed leaking metal roof and still no final inspection or warranty documents, or promise of a remedy. The BBB contacted me and said QE was not responding to their attempts to mitigate the issue. They lowered QEs’ BBB rating to a” C-“ in Georgia. Just as a side note, they opened a business in Enterprise, Alabama and their BBB rating is still an “A” down there. I doubt that will last long. I did eventually receive my warranty documents on the shingled roof. I had to call the shingle company and they graciously emailed them to me, but to date, no one from QE has ever returned to do that final Quality Assurance Inspection. I eventually contacted a professional roofing contractor to come to my home and inspect my metal roofing. He advised it had not been installed to code and needed to be completely re-done. Disappointed, and with no other options, I retained an attorney. QE responded to my attorney’s letters by twice promising to come and look at the metal roof, but again, both times, no show. My attorney reached them by phone and finally they sent someone to temporarily seal the leaks with “butter”, which is a type of sealant that is supposed to be applied along the seams of piece of laid metal as it is being installed. QE did not do this to mine. My metal roof is now buckling and bowing (pictures attached), and temperature changes cause popping noises that sound like rice crispies. A temporary fix, such as a sealant in a few places is not a remedy. I need a complete re-installation. As I write this, I have given QE more than ample time (including the 90 days required by law) to resolve this issue with me. When you first contract with QE, they will hound you to write a great review based on their first consultation with you. These are super good salesmen, and they know those reviews benefit them. I strongly suggest you do your homework before you hire QE. They do not stand behind their work. Small Claims court is next.

    Holland Homes Llc
Holland Homes was great and professional. They were very responsive but their price was a little bit higher than what I could pay for. I would use them again in the future.

    Holland Homes Llc
We hired Daniel Holland and his very capable team at Holland Homes to complete work started by another contractor who failed miserably on the job. We were enclosing a large sunroom attached to our $1MM+ home in Auburn and looked high and low for a qualified and reputable local home remodeling contractor who had a strong record of previous achievement and would pay special attention to the finer details and finishes. We found these and many other exceptional skills and craftsmanship in the team at Holland Homes. From the estimate through to completion, Daniel Holland (Owner of Holland Homes LLC) and Robert Melvin (Holland Homes' Business Marketing and Sale Director) and their team went above and beyond our expectations with my only regret being that I did not hire them first and eliminate all of the frustration and rancor we experienced with the first inept contractor.  The project  turned out to be a picture out of Southern Living. They showed up every day, communicated with us openly and honestly and they worked through every detail to ensure we were completely satisfied. My wife and I strongly recommend Holland Homes LLC from building a low to high end home to any home building or remodeling job small or large in the greater Auburn / Opelika Lake Martin  Alabama area.

    Affordable Handyman Service
This was a very pleasant experience. Jason keeps you informed as to what is going on and what to expect, Go with his recommendations (my exhaust fan is so quiet) he is very knowledgeable, also I followed his advice on the choice of floor tile, I just love the result and it saved me money Collin, Ben, Charles and the whole Affordable Handyman crew are very professional, and take pride in their work. They cleaned up well and Collin during the recent cold snap saw my outdoor faucet cover  in the garage and put it on for me so the pipes would not freeze. That just shows how they truly care about doing a good job and they want you to be completely happy with the project.  Six years ago I had my other bathroom remodeled the contractor I used had a A plus rating with the BBB short story I would not recommend or use them again.  Beware some contractors mission is to just slap it in and get paid. Tip: I typed a  SCOPE OF WORK detailing the work to be done for the project. I gave a copy to every contractor that I received a  estimate from this way you are comparing apples to apples and the contractor can make their notes on it..  It took me 3 years to plan and find the right contractor for my project.  Not all contractors will give you a written estimate (not good) or the story is they are real busy and can't get to your project for about 3 months but for half done that will lock in your start date (think twice) I am glad that I took my time to find the right  contractor and I am 100% happy with the experience and results. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AFFORDABLE HANDYMAN JASON AND HIS CREW ARE VERY NICE. PROFESSIONAL, AND DO HIGH QUALITY WORKMANSHIP AT A VERY FAIR AND REASONABLE PRICE.

    Fresh Start Home Services
The quality of the work is outstanding. The crew was very polite, hard working, and considered the needs of our family, while doing the job. Instead of putting the furniture outside in a storage container, where it would have been harmed in the Georgia heat, they moved it carefully from room to room. An extra effort that was greatly appreciated. After four years of trying to get the floors fixed by the original installer and other companies, Steve and his crew came in, listened to our concerns, worked with us and got the job done, We now have beautiful floors throughout. They will definitely be doing more work on our home in the future, including exterior work. They are the best.
