  • I saw Dr. Spruill for lower back pain, which he diagnosed as a bulging disc, impinged nerves and mild vertebra crack. I returned three times for caudal steroid injections, which didn't help the pain very much at all. After the final one in October, I hadn't seen any improvement, so he referred me to a neurosurgeon. At that appointment, I had different x-rays (s***** rather than standing) done, and I learned my problem actually is a birth defect that ultimately will require surgery.
I'm unhappy that the problem went undiagnosed at the Spine Center for close to a year; meanwhile, I paid more than $400 in copays, not to mention multiple medications, when I could've simply had the surgery I needed long ago if the problem had been diagnosed correctly.

  • I started seeing Dr. Graham approximately 10 years ago and he treated me for lower neck and back pain. I had several nerve blocks performed by him over the past 10 years and there was always about an hour wait whenever I would check in at the facility, but I am sure it was due to the fact that the facility wants you there early, checked in, prepped and ready to go when the doctor gets there, so I can understand that. He was very good at explaining what he would be doing, what physician would be assisting (if any), etc. He left that orthopaedic practice and went out on his own and about 5-6 years ago I started seeing him again. My pain was continually getting worse and he referred me to a surgeon (after having all kinds of tests run) who turned out to be one of the best in his field. He still sees me for follow-up visits and is just generally an excellent physician for what he does!
