    Harris Brick & Stone
Fantastic! They showed up on time to do an estimate and again to do the work and the estimate was significantly lower than the other bidder. The team had everything they needed for the job so they didn't have to "go back to the shop for XXXX", They worked through day, finished completely and cleaned up everything when done. Everyone on the team was very friendly and obviously intent on doing a great job. And a great job is what they did. The door is just as secure as the ones installed with the building was built in 1968 and closes perfectly. Can't recommend them too highly. They're great!

Mr. Rollins was on time, very courteous and professional, he also gave me a very reasonable quote and was knowledgeable about all of the various problems I was needing fixing. He was easy to get a hold of and did a great job.

    Hernandez Brick & Masonry
Mr. Hernandez totally rebuilt steps, replaced numerous pavers on porch, replaced several bricks on side wall of porch and some bricks on side of house. He came with his crew of workers at appointed time each day. They made porch and steps look like new, did an awesome job, much better than expected. I cannot say enough about Hernandez Brick & Masonry, they are excellent workers.

I only have good things to say about Hernandez- they are a great team.  I started out just wanting the front steps replaced (which is a lot of them) and repair to a house brick wall crack, and repair/touchup of old flower bed brick border. I let them pick out the brick and thought he did a great job matching it .  Rosa mentioned he went to several places to find a brick that would match. They also did some extras and didn't charge for them.  After the first job, I decided the old backyard brick border needed to be replaced (it was old/thin pavers and the foundation wasn't good).  I told them my concerns with a catch basin that looked really messy in the landscape area. He routed the border (to allow me to put a plant in front of basin) and put concrete blocks with mortar around basin- he said he would make it pretty and wow what a difference that made! The next job was putting concrete inside around catch basin and installing a border behind it (to help with routing the water flowing into it)and installing  new backyard gate steps.  During the gate steps work, they called me about a sprinkler head not in a good location. So they moved it away (from next to the steps) into a better location and only charged for the material.   Also, this job occurred during winter months.  They were consistent in showing up whenever possible while having to work around the weather.  Overall they listened to my concerns especially with erosion (drainage), offered advice, and incorporated some details to help with that too.  Am looking forward to Spring and seeing my backyard in bloom with the new border!  And the remortared steps look like new now. Overall, I can't stop saying how pleased I am with all of this work- am very happy with the results.

    Hernandez Brick & Masonry

Chose this company because of ratings on Angie's List.  I called several times over the course of 2-3 months.  The person I spoke with was always pleasant and responsive.  However, she never contacted me back to set up a visit for an estimate.  I proactively contacted her and set up appointments twice, but no one showed.  One Sunday I was at the house 2+ hours past the appointment time, and had to leave to attend a funeral. I gave them more chances than my wife thought reasonable but they were not responsive/timely, which to me counts for half the confidence level when hiring a contractor.  Thought I was on the right track, but it didn't work out.

They showed up on time and began working immediately when promised.  They were very professional and did an excellent job!  They don't speak fluent English, but work through their manager, Rosa, who communicates very well, so not a problem.  At one time I looked out and there were 5 workers outside reworking our porch.  They took 3 days to get it completely done and did an outstanding job!  The two men that worked the last day came by the house 3-4 times to manage the finished concrete.  Our porch looks brand new now and we are very pleased with their work.  They plan to come back and pressure wash the area after the porch dries more. They also cleaned up the area really well - wiping down the mud on the outside spot lights that were on the ground and brought all the equipment needed to do the job.  (Before they started the job they pressure washed our porch, sidewalk around the porch, and even our mailbox which made a big difference in the overall look.)

    Hernandez Brick & Masonry
They did a great job. I had another company tell me they would need to tear the old brick mailbox down and build a new brick mailbox for $800-$1000 instead of replacing the actual mailbox in the brick. I called Rosa and sent her pictures of the box. She gave me a quote in a few minutes for $250. They swung by and did the work a couple of days later. I didn't think it would look great because they had to match the brick and close the planters pot in the center of the brick. He matched the brick great and the pattern where the planers pot was looks great. I would definitely use them again.

    Natural Stone Construction
Tim Acklin was the provider.  His name and number were on a list we got from a brickyard.  (Only one of those on the list was also on Angie's List, and that number was no longer in service.)  Tim came out promptly and looked at our steps.  He said he was busy for the next few weeks, so we gave him time to finish the job he had started elsewhere.  After that, we had trouble reaching him (the reason for the B in responsiveness).  But when he and his crew finally got started on the job, they came early and stayed late and finished the job in about three and a half days.  We only had to use our back door a few times.  We are pleased with the result and would recommend Tim to anyone who needs a good bricklayer.

Excellent.  They did an awesome job.  They matched new brick with old brick.  You can't tell that any work was ever done.   Jared was very professional, showed up on time, and finished within a reasonable time.

    Flo Masonry
I originally didn't get Flo's name from Angie's list because I called a few of the contractors on the list and all were unavailable. I called a local brick supplier and they recommended Flo. Flo came that same day and provided a very reasonable estimate for the brick window sill repair and then pointed out other cracks in my wall that I hadn't even noticed. His repaired the other cracks without increasing the price. The quality of his work was great. He took his time and made sure that my colored mortar still matched and the bricks placement was perfect. You can't even tell there was a repair job done. We will definitely recommend Flo to our neighbors for their brick repair problems.
