I had had a severe blister+red rash that had been present for 20 days. Dr. Bo diagnosed the cause and prescribed a topical steriod. Within a week, it was gone, at least decreased that it was essentially gone. I would go back and would recommend him. Dr. Bo listened and discussed and did not deliver a monoloogue. You felt part of the team, part of the process of fixing the problem.

    Mallette, Dr. Stephen G
I have used Dr. Mallette for several years and so has my wife.  His specialty is Dermatology, and he has a reputation for being one of the best Skin Doctors in North Alabama.  We have always been pleased with his treatment and impressed by his manner and expertise.  He listens to you and explains things well.  My only quibble is that sometimes it takes a while to get an appointment.  Overall, however, I give this guy an "A".

My first appointment with Dr. Rivera is probably the best doctor appointment I ever had.  I arrived a few minutes early, was seen a few minutes early, and "Bo" spent the time needed to take a biopsy sample and explain what was going to happen when I returned.  I also had a full body exam for other skin damage.
For my surgery, scheduled about a month later, again everything went smoothly, with little waiting.

s patients in a timelyI have now had two appointments and wanted to be sure the first one wasn't just me getting lucky before I wrote a review like this one. On the first visit, I showed up about 5 minutes early and checked in at the front desk. I sat down in the waiting area and grabbed a magazine and as I opened it, I was called back. A nurse interviewed me, asking about any other areas I was worried about, etc., and then left the room saying the doctor would be in shortly. It was a matter of about two minutes before Dr Hayler cam e in. She checked me over, noting a couple areas that needed to be addressed. She asked if I wanted to make another appointment or just do it then and, based upon my response, took a sample of one area to send off to the lab, and addressed the spot on my back (liquid nitrogen, I think) and my ear with a shot. Said that I would get a postcard if all was good, a call if I needed to come back in. I was out of the office within 10-15 minutes of my appointment time! Then, I got the postcard saying the sample was benign. Yesterday, I had my followup appointment for the ear and spot on my back. This time, I was about ten minutes early. I was taken to the back and interviewed about 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment, and was seeing the doctor at my scheduled appointment time. There was a need to take samples from the two previous spots, which was done, and I was again on my way, this time, about 10 minutes after my scheduled time! Impressive. After seeing so many cases where the patients have to sit and wait 30 minutes, and hour, and MORE, it is nice to have a doctor that sees patients in a timely manner.

Went to three MD's - GP, Ophthalmologist, and ENT. All were unanimous in the diagnosis that it's allergy. Saw the PA at this location two times and used the skin products recommended (over the counter) and a prescription medication. The PA showed me exactly where and how to apply the medicine. I also had them check some other skin problems and am pleased with the advice received. The PA also talked with me about what could be causing the allergic reaction and reminded me to use SPF.

Overall, I am very pleased. My eyes look so much better. My next appointment is in a year. The PA was very knowledgeable and provided clear direction. So after months of dealing with this, I am much better prepared to deal with this when/if it re-occurs.

    Mancuso, Dr. Angelo O.
There's nothing I don't like about him. I like the fact that he's mostly prompt. Like most doctors if you don't get in early you're not getting through quickly but I don't blame any doctor for it, and I like the fact that he takes the time to chat a little bit with you.

    Sowell, Dr. John K.
Dr. Sowell examined my scalp, and determined that the lump was scar tissue, and not a dangerous problem. He offered me the alternative of removing the lump, but said it was not necessary, which was a relief.
I also needed stitches removed from my fingers, as a result of an earlier accident. Though this was not the original purpose of my appointment, Dr. Sowell agreed to have his nurse perform this service, sparing me an additional appointment/co-pay. During this process (which turned out to be rather involved because the initial healing had embedded the sutures), Dr. Sowell checked with us several times to see how the removal was progressing. Lisa did an excellent job, and provided me with thorough instructions for caring for my still injured fingers.
It did take a long time to get an appointment with Dr. Sowell, but as my original concern was not an emergency, that was not a big problem.

Dr. Rivera is amazing with his punctuality! I was in the lobby area for about 5 minutes, then in the exam room for about 5 minutes when the doctor came in. I have also taken my son to him about 6 months ago and it was the same experience. I told Dr. Rivera he was really fast and he told me it drives him crazy to keep his patients waiting so he really tries hard not to keep you waiting. He was very thorough in the examination and was able to freeze some spots off for me. Walked away with a great pamphlet describing and showing you how to check for cancerous spots in the future. The administrative staff is very friendly and the nurses are awesome with their bedside manner. Would recommend them!

    Musick, Dr. Melinda B.
Two of my sons have been under Dr. Musick's care for severe, persistent acne. The only thing I wish she had done differently is to prescribe the Accutane sooner because they both got significant facial scarring while topical medications were tried that didn't work. I realize Accutane can have side effects, but I think we should have tried it sooner than she was willing to do to avoid the scarring--especially for boys who have no risk of pregnancy. However, I still think she is an excellent dermatologist for acne because her office can give patients microdermabrasion that removes the dead skin cells, which helps the topical medications to get into the pores to work more effectively. After the Accutane was prescribed, the acne for my older son went away and for the younger son it improved dramatically. The only side effect Accutane had for my sons was very dry lips.
Once I wanted a skin tag removed from my face and she refused to do it since it was only for cosmetic reasons, which I found annoying.
My one son had either a boil or a spider bite with inflammation that went away on its own, but then came back. So we felt that he needed to see a doctor and Dr. Musick's office fit him in. I thought it was a boil, but she thought it was a brown reculse bite. Dr. Musick sent him to another doctor (a plastic surgeon) to confirm the diagnosis. Two prescriptions were given and whatever it was, it went away and didn't come back.
