    HEAT PUMP WAS INSTALLED AND WHEN THE DRAIN LINE WAS RUN FROM THE ATTIC THRU THE HOUSE TO UNDER HOUSE,. THE LINE WAS CUT SHORT AND THE WATER RAN ON THE CENTER BEAM UNDER MY HOUSE. WHEN I TOLD RUSTY HE SAID MYERS HEATING AND AIR HAD DONE IT BUT HE WAS THE LAST ONE TO WORK ON HEATING AND AIR AND INSTALLED HEAT PUMP. HE CAME TO HOUSE AND RAN A LINE, A PIECE OF PCP PIPE SO WATER WOULD NOT RUN UNDER HOUSE. WE AGREED TO LET HIM FIX THE BEAM BECAUSE WE NEW HIM AND TRUSTED HIM. AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS HE DID FIX IT AND SEEMED ALL WAS GOOD. BUT GRADUALLY DOORS WOULD NOT SHUT, CARPET IS BUNCHING, CRACKS IN WALL AND TILES POPPING OFF, AND WOOD FLOOR COMING LOOSE,THATS WHAT WE NO. HAD TO HIRE A STRUCTURAL ENG TO COME TO HOUSE. HAVE A CERTIFIED LETTER FROM HIM AND TWO OTHER COMPANIES STATING PROBLEMS ARE A RESULT OF CENTER BEAM BEING CUT AND NOT SUPPORTED CORRECTLY. RUSTY AND HIS INSURANCE COMPANY HAVE BEEN SENT A LETTER FROM ATTY TWICE,BUT THEY BOTH SAY ITS NOT HIS FAULT AND REFUSE TO PAY TO HAVE IT FIXED. SO I AM STILL DEALING WITH THE PROBLEMS AND DAMAGE. I AM NOT DONE DEALING WITH THESE ISSUES. I HAVE TEXT MESSAGES FROM HIM STATING HE DID WORK AND STRUCTURAL ENG SAYING THIS IS THE CAUSE. I WOULD LIKE TO NO HOW THE INSURANCE COMPANY CAN DENY IT , I GUESS BECAUSE RUSTY WONT ACCEPT FAULT THEY WONT EITHER.HE ACCEPTED RESPONSIBLITY FOR IT UNTILL HE HAD TO TURN INTO INSURANCE AND LEFT US HOLDING THE BILL AND DAMAGE. NOT TO MENTION HE TOOK THE OLD UNIT WHICH WAS STILL IN GOOD WORKING ORDER, SO THIS REALLY COST ME!!!!

    appointment set for 10 am on a Tuesday....at 11 am I called to see where Todd was....forgot about the appointment, showed up about 1 hour later....stayed about 10 mins....will have quote in a couple of days......2 weeks later, nothing....called, will have quote tomorrow.....2 months later, still nothing

    if he didn't want to do the job, OK, just tell me up front

    I like them very much.  They show up when they are supposed to and you don’t have to stay there all day waiting for them. You can make an appointment and they will be there.  They do very good work and I don’t get the sense that they will charge you whatever they can get out of you; they seem to be very honest people.  I appreciated that they fixed the air conditioner instead of selling me a new one.  I think their price was fair but I don’t know because I don’t know what other people would charge.

    The employees of this company have always done a good job.  Although my heat pump is getting old, they have done maintenance work and one modest repair without even trying to sell me a new system.  In fact, the last technician said I was good for a few more years and gave me a heads-up on the cost of a new unit when I asked.  Very nice man.

    When 2nd repair person from another company appeared & fixed the unit, he showed me a wire that was burned that caused the unit to go out. He also cleaned the unit & recommended that I get yearly service on the unit. He said the unit was old - but that the compressor had been replaced and was functioning fine.

    This company has a repairman that cannot be trusted. My mother has a service contract with Joe East's Heating & Air Conditioning company. She has used them for years for her repairs. They serviced her air conditioning unit under a prepaid contract in June 2009. Mother has been widowed for several years and knows nothing about heating and air conditioners so when her unit began making a funny noise yesterday, she naturally called them to look at it. While the repairman was at her home, he cleaned the unit and noted that the ball bearings were going out in the fan motor. Mother suggested that she might need a new "unit" meaning a replacement of the outside fan unit. Before mother knew what was going on, the repairman was in her attic collecting information on her entire system. He then whipped out a quote for $5,200 and offered mother a $450 5-year extended warranty, which mother agreed to purchase. While he was there, the fan completely failed and the air quit working completely. He told her it would be two days before the new system would arrive and he left without trying to fix her fan. Shortly thereafter, I called mother and found out the whole story. My husband and I quickly told mother to call another repairman because we knew instantly that she had been swindled into buying a new sytem when all she needed was a new fan motor. Sure enough, another repair company came within 30 minutes, temporarily fixed her fan, and ordered her a new fan. By this morning (July 10 at 9:00 a.m.) Mother's fan has been replaced and the total cost for both visits and the fan was $490. We are in the process of cancelling the new system from Joe East and will also be cancelling the service contract. Be careful who you do business with.
