  • I have been with her for at least 12 years. She is very thorough, and she will give you the time. You may have to wait a few minutes, but that is not bad because you know that she will give you that time too, and that is very unusual now days. You have to wait to get an appointment. She has a nurse practitioner that you can see anytime. I have a son who has brain damage, and he see her too. He is 53. I love the staff. Lisa does the blood work, and the nurse practitioner is from the same town as I am, so we just hit it off there. Everything she has done has worked for me.

  • Dr. William Herron is very plain and down to earth. He will sit and listen to you and your needs rather than just asking a bunch of questions that are not applicable. He makes sure to speak in terms that an average person can understand.

  • This office is great! All of the doctors are affiliated with UCF's new medical school. It's great that you actually see a real doctor even for a routine physical. At other offices, I would generally be seen by a physician's assistant. In addition, since these doctors are faculty at the med school, you are seen by scholars who are serious about what the science actually shows.
My doctor, Salazar, is very thorough and took a lot of time to answer my questions. He is fluent in both English and Spanish. I believe several of the doctors in the practice are also bilingual.
The front office staff is also very prompt and courteous and also bilingual.
I usually don't have to wait once I arrive--the longest has been about five minutes.
The only downside is that since their primary duty is the med school, some doctors are only available once a week. That can make scheduling a bit of a hassle. However, for something immediate, you can see any doctor in the office.

  • I don't want to share the story of my husband's 2 year struggle to live, most of which was under the care of specialists. One criticism, which might apply to all internists - diagnosis is too dependent on labs and the patient's ability to describe and prioritize symptoms. I'll always believe that a more coherent description of symptoms and a more authoritative insistence on referring to a specialist, an earlier diagnosis might have saved his life. I intend to continue to rely on this doctor for primary care.
