DSouthern-Home Structural Repair SpecialistsMy first inspection appointment was in early July 2020. Matt showed up to inspect and was very polite but was unable to inspect entire crawl space because of narrow clearance. He took pictures and measurements and recommended some things we could do to make the foundation more secure. I was told to expect a quote with pictures on Monday. After not hearing anything from him for 3 MONTHS after emailing him through the website and leaving messages on the office answering machine. Finally heard back from Matt on October 14th, and I agreed to another inspection with him bringing along another smaller sized worker that would be able to inspect the entire crawl space. Second inspection was November 5th 2020, they were very polite and found a few more things that could be improved. I was told to expect a quote on Friday. It is now December 7th and I have yet to hear anything from this company. Very frustrating and I will not be using them in the future.- Tara J.

AAFS Foundation & Waterproofing SpecialistsI called AFS to set up an appointment for an estimate to waterproof my basement. An appointment was set up during that phone call. I was called to verify appointment for estimate before hand by a representative named Michael. He was on time and very knowledgable. We set up another appointment to install the system. The estimated time to complete the job was two days. It only took one. The crew was on time and explained everything they were going to do. I also had a blocked drain right outside the entry to my basement door that they tied into the pump system. The job was done on January 8th, 2013. On January 10th it started raining and didn't stop for over a week straight. My basement stayed dry through all of it. Needless to say, I am very pleased with the job AFS did.- Tracy E.

I want to be sure that several of your team members are recognized for their hard work while repairing my property. First, I was extremely impressed with Reid Cox who performed the inspection of my property. From his first introduction all the way through the end of the appointment, Reid was prepared, informative and very courteous. He made it a point to leave his cell phone in the truck (which you rarely see a contractor do!) so that he could completely focus on answering all of my questions. He went into as much detail as I needed to understand what was happening on my property, and he made it a point to show me how he arrived at took his measurements. I have to admit, when installation day arrived, I wasn?t sure what to expect. However, I want to recognize AJ and his entire crew ? Luis, Damian and Francisco?for a great job. AJ introduced himself and told me about his schedule for the day. The entire crew worked so efficiently, but what I appreciated the most was their attention to detail. As they prepared the piers and Jacks for installation, they asked me about my goals so that they could make the right adjustments. I felt completely comfortable having them work on my property. Foundation repair is heavy-duty construction work, but I felt that your crews were more professional, courteous and polite than most of the plumbers or electricians I?ve had inside my home. Please be sure to recognize Reid, AJ, Luis, Damian and Francisco; I?m truly impressed with their work. I?m happy to provide a reference to any other homeowners considering repair. I don?t ?wonder if the bounce in the floors? is OK, or if the crack in the wall will get bigger? I know my house is on solid ground. While at our property, the team even performed work for one of our neighbors that needed a smart support installed. They were also very happy with the floor support.- Paul R G.

AOLSHAN FOUNDATION REPAIRI contacted Olshan because of some serious concerns that literally wake me up at night. There have been significant issues with my 7 year old home, and many issues with its builder. My biggest struggle has been not knowing who to turn to for clear assessment. Ive researched significantly, but theres nothing like industry experience. Unfortunately, so many companies see a price tag when they look at homeowners like me. Prior to contacting Olshan, I had reached out to some other individuals, and they were either rescheduling frequently, or sent an inexperienced person who quoted me 5-8k to start. Any question I asked was either met with a redirection or host down. The contact methods, phone calls and follow ups were very professional and organized. When Bud arrived, he was immediately attentive, intuitive, and conveyed years of experience in the scenario. Most important of all, I didn't feel like he was looking for my wallet :). As I relayed my concerns it was quite an education. Id found I was right about some things, wrong about others. What impressed me the most was that my situation really didn't warrant a large scale project at that time. There are things I can do to correct and monitor the situation. Bud spent a great deal of time with me, and followed up with me when he had an additional thought. He gave me strategies to deal with what situation I had, when to know its time to follow up and call, and actually asked for some feedback on how a particular item turned out. I really identified with that request because it showed a willingness to learn about a difference scenario, to gain more experience. What amazes me most, is that it was a free consultation. I have no doubt that if my situation was worse, we would have discussed treatment options, but to have a company treat me with respect like that, I just can't express how wonderful it was. I would have gladly paid for that consultation yesterday. Bud's time, experience, and overall ability to put me at ease literally made me feel like I have some control over the situation. Its a personal thing to say, but I almost felt like I was being mentored, and that direction has made me so much more assured what direction to take.- Donald F.

AFrom the first phone call to request an estimate to the completion it was excellent,. AJ Wiegard gave us a second estimate which was at least $5000.00 less with the most expensive estimate from AFS. AJ continued to go line my line and delete anything that was not needed, but was in the previous estimate. It brought the price down even more. We appreciated that nothing was added that we did not need but could be charged for. It was a 2 day job. It was done in 2 days. Matthew Carey the lead in this project called to let us know that they were going to come early. At the end of the day, he let us know the status of the job and assured us that it would be completed the next day. Matthew, Bryan, Shane all did a great job. Pictures were taken to show us the work. My husband took a look too. The yard was cleaned up and they even removed old "stuff" that was left under the house. A short while later Trevar Akins, Production Manager, showed up at our house shortly after the men all left. He asked to look at the job to see that everything was done correctly. Mr. Akins assured us that everything was done correctly. We really appreciate the attention that AFS gave us in having this job done. Thanks, Donna and Jay.
