They are very professional and prompt.  When you show up for an appointment, you don't wait over 10-15 minutes.  They spend time with you.  The pool is separate from the big room.  When you're left alone, the others watch and suggest things.

Dr. Hodges took careful notes of all previous work done, and then assessed current symptoms in some detail. He had xrays of my shoulder and neck taken, and evaluated them to some extent, while I waited briefly. Afterward he scheduled a nerve conduction test, and some physical therapy to help with my neck and shoulder. The nerve conduction test (scheduled through a different office) showed some nerve entrapment in my right arm. The pain in the shoulder is likely bursitis. Dr. Hodges confirmed this on follow-up visit. Surgery for the nerve isn't urgent. Physical Therapy is helping with the shoulder. The Physical Therapy Office in this orthopedic group is efficient and effective. In just 3 sessions, I already notice increased mobility and less pain in my right shoulder. I am only scheduled for therapy for 3 weeks. Then they will turn me loose with a set of exercises to continue at home. Great job! [Billing is a little slow for my insurance, however.]

MRI took several weeks to process in-network. (my wife had an MRI at the same hospital and was called less than a week after by her specialist) Very hard to get a timely appointment. Nearly impossible to talk to an actual person on the phone. PA did return calls promptly, but was generally unsympathetic to my concerns. At my first physical therapy appointment, the therapist had the right file, but another patient's chart/history was mixed in with mine. Consultation with surgeon is partly done in semi-public space which I found distracting when trying to ask questions. Procedures were not explained to me. I had to constantly ask and quot;what is that?and quot; There seemed to be an assumption on those giving care that I was completely familiar with jargon and procedures. I really had to be on my toes, even after having done considerable research prior to my appointments. In short, actual treatment was competent, but done in an environment and with the same sensitivity and care as a DMV. This practice is too large and the staff spread too thin for timely and effective service! Nearly four months passed from initial PCare visit to actual treatment.
