    Beardog Towing and Transport
Awesome! Chad was super laid back and professional. Being a female, you get nervous in situations like this lol or I do and it's cool to have someone that makes you feel comfortable. Plus, Beardog was cheaper than the other 3 places I called. Took 15 minutes to get to me. Seriously saved the day. Thanks Beardog!

If I have to have a car towed this is the best person in Birmingham to call. When I needed to have a car towed to my auto service company I called John's. He was having his wrecker repaired, but is so good that I waited almost a week to use him. He is really nice. I keep his card in my wallet. The three times that I have actually had to use a tow truck I have used him. One night he picked my grandson and me up at 3 o'clock in the morning in downtown Birmingham.

    PRO TOW
My vehicle broke down (the ball joint disconnected and the control arm was on the ground) partially blocking Starbucks drive-through. I called Pro Tow and explained my situation and that Starbucks customers would probably happy if I moved my vehicle soon. Pro Tow arrived very quickly and carefully maneuvered my vehicle onto the flatbed, causing no additional damage. Since the vehicle wouldn't roll, they dropped it directly in the service bay of the local dealer. After all that work, they only charged $55.00! The driver was friendly and helpful.

Tow arrived quickly.  Drivers were courteous and knowledgeable.  It was determined that my car was safe to travel.  Driver assisted in minor repairs.  Sent me on my way and looked out for oncoming traffic.

    MACY'S TRUCK REPAIR INC
Considering that's it's never a nice experience to break down on the side of a highway on a hot day towards the end of a long road trip with the car loaded, it was as good as it could possibly be.  They were helpful, accommodating and very professional.

    United Towing & Transport Alabama
After 5pm on a weekday, on the way to the grocery store I could fell something wrong with one of my tires, & upon parking at the grocery store I checked all the tires, discovering that the rear passenger tire looked a little low on air, & I thought that I would just put some air into it at the gas station next door to the grocery store after I finished my shopping.  However, when I came back to the car an hour later that tire was completely flat, not a drop of air in it.  My car is a '87 Grand Marquis, a very heavy car, & while it had a full size spare tire & a ratcheting car jack in the trunk I did not feel it wise to change the tire myself (nor allow any of the store employees or customers that offered to do it, I would have been resopnsible if someone had been hurt) as I was parked on a slight incline, I figured it was best to allow a professional (with insurance) to do the job.  So I called my Auto Club & put in a request for service.  (I took my frozen & refrigerated goods back into the store & they stored them appropriately until I could leave for home.) It took 1 hour & 50 minutes for the service technician to arrive (understandable due to the time of day traffic, my location - Helena,Alabama - etc), during which I received phone calls from both the Auto Club & the tech updating the arrival time,  Once the tech, Nick Taylor, arrived he was very neat (was not smoking, etc) & courteous, offering to examine the tire to determine the cause of the flat & whether it could be repaired or would need to be replaced, then he got right work using a hydraulic 2-ton jack to lift up the back end of the car & quickly began removing the flat tire (after removing the lug nuts, the tech placed his hands around the tire to lift it off & ended up putting one hand right into the HUGE hole where an 8"x4" outer piece of the tire was missing & the tire band had unraveled, definitely need a NEW tire!)  After Nick placed my full size spare onto the car, he filled it with air to the right pressure & let me know that I didn't need a new tire except to put a spare in the trunk & that the hydraulic 2-ton jack (we had used it with a previous car) that was sitting in my garage needed to be in my trunk for future use.  (By the way, while Nick was putting on the spare tire, the car slipped a bit on the jack - the jack was placed as well as possible as there was a car parked beside it & both front tires were up against the curb - enough to scare us both into jumping back away from the car.  If it a smaller jack had been in use in that situation the car would have completely fallen off the jack & someone could have been seriously injured by either the falling car or the jack).  Before lifting the DEAD tire into my trunk the tech, at his insistance, placed it into a trash bag so road residue would not rub off onto the trunk's upholstery, & he then checked the area to be sure that no items were left on the ground.  Nick then asked if he could help retrieve my groceries from inside the store, if there was anything else he could do for me, & was I satisfied with the service he provided?  No, no & YES, I was very satistied with the service he provided.  Before leaving the tech gave me one of the company's business cards to have on hand for future use. Over all this company provided a service technician - Nick Taylor - that was polite, knowledgeable & efficient, taking excellent care of the company's reputation.  I will definitely be using them again & referring friends & family to them.

    Co-Part
For 3 days in a row Co-part has promised to come and pick up a wrecked vehicle, and the wrecked mini-van is still sitting in front of our house.  It's very discouraging to be told that a company will perform services and then not follow through.

    ABAN TOWING
AWFUL! I would give them a negative rating, if possible. This company was dispatched by my insurance company to retrieve a car and tow to Premiere Chevrolet. Instead, the car ended up at Benton Nissan. We waited 3 hours for the tow. The car broke down again 2 days later and the same company was dispatched, again with a 3 hour wait. After 3 and a half hours I called to check on the status and was told they could not get to it. THIS COMPANY IS TERRIBLE AND THE EMPLOYEES AND DRIVERS ARE RUDE!!!!

    Towmator Towing Serivice
Horrible Experience. My sons car broke down this morning. He has towing coverage through his Ford warranty and apparently Tow Mater is on their list. If I have my way they won't be for long. The guy they send to tow my sons car tells my son that he (the driver) is a felon and a heroine addict. Its bad enough that you are one, why in the world would you just blurt it out and tell someone that? Then when he drops my son off at Town and Country, the guy tells him that he owes $20 but the card machine is down and he can only accept cash. The towing is covered, we don't owe them any money so this guy is lying to get $20 cash. Luckily my son didn't have any money on him. I've called Ford and filed a complaint and will try to get them off Fords main list. I also called Tow Mater to let them know their driver is trying to solicit extra cash on the side. Read their reviews on the Yellow Pages site, NONE over 1 star. Stay Away!
