AGreat Nation MovingOur 700 mile move from VA to AL went very well. The Great Nation team was punctual and worked very hard to wrap our furniture and move our personally packed boxes to the truck. We received our household goods within a week and so far, so good as we are unpacking. They also moved a grand piano and did a fantastic job disassemling and assembing the piano in the perfect place in our home.- Linda K.

ASafebound Moving & StorageUPDATE: In February of 2021, Safebound reached out to me claiming that they have made changes to their business policies and personnel. They offered additional compensation to prove their sincerity and resolve my complaint. I accepted their offer. Original: Safebound prepared fraudulent documents and damaged our belongings during my family's move last July. In working through complaints with various consumer and government agencies, they have repeatedly accused me of lying (despite evidence to the contrary) and have offered only 8% of our moving costs in exchange for our silence. I believe the public deserves to hear about my experience and include it below. Safebound Logistics sent only one person to load our belongings (Mike P.), and we saw him damage a Paloma II dining table and Andover floor mirror, both from Crate & Barrel. While loading, he pointed out to us a single shelf that was scratched, but because he did that, we assumed that he would bring to our attention any cosmetic issues he noticed. Instead, he fraudulently and incorrectly marked that literally every piece of furniture was in a damaged condition at origin. To do so, Mike P. used numeric codes that weren’t immediately clear and then pressured us to sign the paperwork quickly because he was desperate to get on the road. We didn’t notice or understand the damage codes when we signed the paperwork, and he certainly didn’t point them out. After delivery, we figured out the meaning of the numeric codes and found that those codes don't even match the location of damages we claimed. For example, Mike P. marked all 8 dining chairs, an armchair, an end table, 2 beds, a 3rd dresser, and a 3rd nightstand as scratched and/or soiled, but all are still in perfect condition. This proves that his list of damages is fraudulent. Instead, many of our items were damaged during the move due to Safebound's negligence. They even lost an essential part of our sofa, rendering it unusable. Additionally, we chose Safebound because their sales team promised that our items would remain on a single truck for the entire move, but then they then unloaded and reloaded the entire shipment. This likely contributed to the damages we incurred. While our items were in transit, I asked for a final cost so I could have a bank check ready at delivery. They emailed a final price, but then demanded another $228 in charges before they would unload our furniture. Given all of this, I believe that fraud and false claims are common practice for Safebound. We have reached out to the company directly, filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), and endured a nearly year-long settlement process with the industry-biased, third-party, CSI Pros platform. At the end of the day, Safebound offered to buy our silence for less than 8% of what we paid. All the while, they have continued to defend their incompetent employees in spite of damaged goods and fraudulent documents. Worse yet, when they replied to the FDACS, they twisted my words and then accused me of lying despite clear evidence to the contrary. In closing, here is what we learned about Safebound Logistics. Get every detail in writing, though in our case, they didn’t even honor what they put in writing. Furthermore, watch the loading crew (or individual) like a hawk. They will mark that everything you own is damaged. Read every line of every page and ask that they explain (in writing) every stray mark written on the page, because if you don’t, they will later claim it means you agreed that every piece of furniture you own was damaged before they loaded it. Finally, if you choose to entrust your belongings to them, you should definitely take out insurance to protect from the mistakes they will certainly make. Apparently, protecting your items from damage is not included in the price they will quote—it’s like a car company charging an extra fee to make sure the new car you bought has no manufacturing defects. If a moving company is unable to move furniture without damaging it and/or unable to execute documents without committing fraud, they should not offer insurance; they should stop moving furniture and find another industry. I strongly encourage you to avoid this company.- Julian B.

AMotivated Movers of Huntsville & DecaturWe contracted with Motivated Movers after soliciting estimates from two other local movers. Our move required three 2-man teams and two large trucks. Greatest challenge was carrying heavy furniture, including a piano, up a steep driveway to the trucks parked on the street. The guys arrived on time, carefully padded delicate items, and cautiously maneuvered heavy items down stairs, up the driveway, and into the trucks. The crews were completely knowledgeable and professional and worked extremely well as a team to complete the job. We were very pleased with their service and would certainly recommend them to others.- Dave F.

FPODS Moving and StorageWhat a NIGHTMARE. We had called and paid the ridiculous amount of money to move our POD across the country and because the delivery was BEFORE the monthly service charge, the customer rep said that as long as the POD was empty and picked up, we wouldn't be charged anything more and all was good... Delivery day came... No POD. We called and they were like "Oh my goodness, your POD never got picked up!"... Two week delay... We have nothing but the clothes and few bathroom items we packed (think 1 week vacation items)... So we went to the store and bought some household items to get us by till the POD arrived. Next day... $700 dollars is taken from my checking account... They cancelled the previous transport and delivery charge... Then added back another one... but wait... they also charged the monthly charge not once, but twice! Also... triple charged me on the insurance!?!?! We currently have no pod, multiple support tickets, no refund, no reimbursement for the household goods, and no type of refund or apology or anything for the troubles. We will never use POD again.- Tim L.

They also responded quickly to my emails. I was kind of leary about calling due to some of the bad reviews I saw on one of the websites online, but their price was a really good and I decided to take a chance. The movers Anthony, T and Jewels were very professional and moved fast. I appreciated the respect that they showed for my home while moving furniture around. All three were very responsive and pleasant to work with. Upon leaving they presented us with candy and little thank you note.- D T.

AI hired two helpers for 2 hours on October 17,2020. The two helpers (names unknown) arrived at my home (127 Gado Way, Loudon) and immediately started unloading the Penske truck with the contents being moved into my garage. Some of these boxes and some bare items were very heavy and awkward. After this with plenty of the 2 hours remaining we took the truck to a nearby storage unit where they helped load all items then return to my home and unload into the garage. The two men hired worked vigorously without complaint during the entire operation taking no breaks except to drink a bit of water. I would recommend these two workers anytime for any type of assistance. Please extend our thanks to these two men again for us, John & Linda Sutton

FBait and Switch! I've never worked with a company so alluring and dishonest IN MY LIFE! Prior to loading day we had a $6,600 quote that was updated to a $10,500 quote only to have the truck and packers show up and increase our total to $20,000!!!!!!! We had packed everything but the furniture! The trucking company representative from Roadrunner (Polaris Moving is the parent company) said she was now our contact. She "fired Moving APT!!!" We are now in week 10 post moving to WI and our belongings are STILL NOT HERE!!! Roadrunner has taken our goods hostage forcing us to get a lawyer!! I will NEVER use Angie's List or a broker again!! This has been nothing short of a nightmare!

AAwesome, stress free experience. Royce and his partner Jake (?) were outstanding. When our truck load was 160 lbs over the truck's weight limit of 8,500 lbs, they removed their spare tools and equipment and drove the 890 miles with no more than 1/2 their fuel load to stay underweight. Nothing damaged and they were so helpful in getting all our furniture and boxes into the right places. Protected walls and floors and disassembled and reassembled beds and tables without issues. Outstanding and would hire them again. Thank you!
