    Lowe's
He might have charged me less. It was a smaller job than he thought he was coming here for. Mine has access, whereas some people, you have to dig it up and remove a cover. At some places it's a big job and it was going to be a lot more, but with mine because you've just got to drop your hose down into this little thing, like a manhole cover, I wasn't charged as much. The price was what was expected, it was average. They got the job done. They came right out, they showed up within a day or so, not that it was an emergency, it could have waited. There wasn't a lot of discussions, but they were actually trying to save me some money.

    Lee Company
The representative - Justin, did his job to inspect the areas mentioned above, but in my opinion he was incorrectly instructed by his company.  The Deal that Angie's List:
    • $29.00 for a plumbing service call plus a comprehensive plumbing inspection
    • Deal does not include any materials
Our toilet needed a flapper replaced and flush valve replaced.  The quoted price for the materials was $229.00.  The two items that needed replacement do not cost more than $19.99 for a Fluidmaster Toilet Repair Kit at Lowes.  The Angie's List Deal clearly calls for a plumbing service call plus materials, therefore my expectation was to pay an addition $20.00 for parts, but nothing additional.  In my opinion, Angie's List provided a RIP OFF DEAL.

    Aire Serv of Huntsville

The scheduled appointment had to be changed several times because the Aire Serv Technician was running behind.  They did call me to let me know.  Once the service guy got to my house, he asked if he could re-schedule taking a look at the HVAC system because it was dark.  I said that would be fine.  We scheduled him to come back but on the day he was to come back he was unable to do so. The Tech did light the logs and was most courteous, polite and offered some helpful hints in re: carbon monoxide prevention.

Aire Serv's office personnel called back again to apologize and to re-schedule.  They are now scheduled to come back again on Thurs., Jan. 28, 2016.  The pilot light on my logs has gone out again. I will have the technician take another look when he returns to look at the HVAC system.

    Aire Serv of Huntsville

First, I would like to say that I will never ever do business with this company again.  The technician that worked for this company was dishonest with me about something called an Advantage Plan.  He never explained anything about an Advantage plan nor had my permission to charge me for any Advantage Plan.  I thought he was charging me for the replacement of a drain pan.  There is nothing on my copy of the bill indicating that I was sold an Advantage Plan.  When he came back on 8/5/2015 to install the new drain pan, he stated that the Advantage Plan was part of the deal with Angie's list.  I told him it was not and I would not pay him any more money for the drain pan and installation.  By this time I was angry and told him he could shove his drain pan.  He left my home and never returned.

I wrote a letter of complaint to Aire Services Heating and Air Conditioning that they should have received on or before 8/20/15.  I asked that they refund any money I paid for the Advantage Plan.  As of this date, 9/26/2015, I have not received a response from Aire Services.

    Mighty Rooter

This was a bathroom renovation at my mother's home. Mighty Rooter was subcontracted for the plumbing portion of the job. The bathroom is seldom used except during visits and holidays. First, the plumber scorched some of the wood framing while brazing the pipes. The house had a burnt smell for several days. Over Christmas (a few weeks after work was completed), we discovered that the bathtub drain was not connected, allowing some of the sewage to drain into the crawl space instead of the septic system. This resulted in one of the floor supports sinking and failing, and an additional expense to have a new floor support and new flooring installed. It took several calls to Mighty Rooter to get a response, and he missed at least one appointment to correct the problem. 6 months later, I discovered a significant leak under the bathroom sink. A different general contractor has advised us that it is likely that the entire bathroom will need to be gutted, as well as the adjoining hallway, and possibly more depending on the extent of the water damage. I will update once we start tearing the bathroom out (again) and discover the full extent of the damage. All said and done, we are likely to spend many times more than we paid for the entire bathroom renovation to fix the problems caused by this plumber's ineptitude. I would not let this guy near any property I owned, ever.

    Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Huntsville
The whole experience was about as smooth as you could hope for, given the situation. I had already braced myself for possibly being without water for several days due to the cold weather but after a phone call to Mr. Rooter's, a service tech, Buddy, was calling me within 5 minutes. After explaining the situation to Buddy and deciding to go forward with the repair (gotta have water), he was at our place within the hour. Buddy was very professional, polite and skilled. He had the burst pipe located and removed within the first 20 minutes , and went to work putting in a freeze-proof outdoor spigot where to old burst one just was. The total job was completed in under 2 hours from start to finish. Buddy made sure to clean everything up and not to leave behind and refuse. Given the experience we had today with Mr. Rooter and their technichian Buddy, I wouldn't hesitate to call upon them again should the need arise.

    Roto-Rooter Plumbers

When I made the first phone call to inquire about sending a technician out to find out what our problem was, I was very impressed with the attitude and professionalism of the office staff.

Our technician arrived right on time and was great.  He was totally professional and took plenty of time to explain options and choices.

I would definitely use them again!!

It was very good. I do not remember exactly what the final cost was but their workmanship and interaction with me as a client were very good. They were very responsive and on time. They came out quickly and did a good job in a quick amount of time. I would definitely recommend them to a family member or a friend. Their price was good for the service that we got.

Both men (John & Boyce) arrived on time.  Went to work immediately making an assessment of what tools they would need. One started to disassemble the old faucets while the other brought in the tools and new lines. Once the installation was complete, they did a check to make sure there were no leaks, then removed the trash and cleaned the area.  They finished the task in less than one hour.  Boyce presented the invoice and explained all entries.  I gave him a check and received my copy of the invoice and they departed.

    Around The Clock Plumbing
Great. The serviceman that came, Don, was prompt (early) and very professional. While he chatted with me while working he never stopped working. What we thought would be a simple repair job turned into a replacement on one of our badly leaking hose bibs. So Don did have to leave to get a replacement part because he had used the unplanned repair part on a previous job. He had to crawl under the house multiple times (65' from hatch to hose bib) because the original hose bib was very challenging to remove. The replaced bib look like it has always been there and in fact looks better than the original work.
Price was very reasonable. Work was done efficiently and neatly.
