    J Brewer and Associates
We were in Birmingham while J. Brewer and Assocs. redid our condo in Chattanooga. We were quite pleased. The price was fare without too many extras and the time frame was accurate. They were easy to communicate with and let kept us up on the project from afar. I think what speaks volumes is our neighbor who lives in the condominium next door and who was home most days as the work was being done, decided to use them to remodel her unit. She was the day in day out eyes of our project and obviously liked the work and the workers. We would recommend J. Brewer and Assocs.

    RENOVATION CREW
I cannot praise David McCormick and his crew enough. Our kitchen was a total tear down. The custom cabinets are absolutely gorgeous. The hand-laid wood floor is just perfect. Ditto the granite. David had some very good ideas that we implemented (like a beverage center). The new walk-in shower is also gorgeous. The craftsmanship of all the crew is superb. The one thing, especially, that makes The Renovation Crew different is that you don't pay them a dime until all the work is done to your satisfaction. I was stunned when David told us that. A refreshing change from most contractors. The prices were very, very reasonable. I've had a couple friends see our new kitchen and both of them had just one word... "Wow!". I would highly recommend The Renovation Crew.

    Precision Tile and Stone
I would not consider using anyone else.  This was by far one of the best contractors I have ever worked with.  From the design to procurement, to demo, to install, to close-out, John was extremely professional, meticulous, thorough, and friendly.
John was helpful in the early stages making recommendations for design and product.  He is well connected with suppliers and other contractors (plumber, glass, counter-top) that are involved in a bathroom or kitchen remodel.  He was able to think through some of the holes in our plan and create a working solution that best fit our needs.
John is very meticulous about his work.  It is easy to see that he cares about the details.  A true artist with his work who takes pride in what he does.
The final product looks amazing.  My wife and I absolutely love our new bathroom, thanks to John.
John is also very friendly and easy to work with.  My two-year-old son loved seeing John everyday and John took the time to talk to him.  We were sad when he was finished because we so enjoyed having him around.  A great man who is very trustworthy and kind.

    Professional Surface Restorations
I bought a condo for my daughter while she attends UAB. The condo was built in 1960. The bathrooms had 3/4 inch tile and porcelain tubs that had been stained over time. You can't find this type thickness and quality of tile or tub anymore. Both looked like they needed to be replaced with a complete gut job of both bathrooms. I started to do research on resurfacing the tub and tile and found Professional Surface Restoration and it's owner Tony Rudawaski.
I called Tony and asked to meet me at the condo on June 19 at noon. He was there 15 minutes early. He showed pictures of his before and after work. His quote was $2800 dollars for both bathrooms and it would take 3 days. I told him we closed on the condo on July 20 and would like him to start on Jully 21. On July 18 I got a calll stating the condo would be without water due to restoration on other units on the 21st. I called Tony and told of the dilemma and he said "it was no problem and he would be there" on the 22nd.
The transformation of both bathrooms from dated to brand new was unbelievable! They look showroom new. This was the best money I've ever spent on an upgrade. Tony saved me thousands on a bathroom gut job an rebuild. I still can't believe the transformation. It took 3 days as promised and cost $2800. Same as the quote. He called my daughter on Saturday and asked if he could come by and check the caulking to make sure it was good. Anyone else have a contractor ask to come by and inspect their own work to ensure quality after the job was done?
Anyone considering doing a complete demo of their bathroom needs to look at Tony's work and save yourself thousands of dollars.

    Lee Bear Contracting
I’ve been working with him for over two years.  He is the most contentious worker, is very honest and caring. His pricing is fair and I can’t say enough good things about him.   He is very busy and is a small operation so you may have to wait as far as scheduling, but it’s worth it.

    American Home Design Inc
THEY WERE AWFUL!!. First off I told them I wanted one with jets and they brought one out that didn't have jets. The salesperson obviously just wanted to make a sale and was NOT very clear about this. They said they couldn't put one in. I then just told them to put what they brought in and I would figure something out. After the first bath, the water would not drain out of the tub and if the water doesn't drain, YOU CAN"T OPEN THE DOOR to the tub. At that time, I had had a hip replacement and was 70 pounds heavier. Well, I had to climb out of that monster and THAT was no easy task. I immediately made several phone calls and FINALLY got to a person that had a little sense (AND I DO MEAN A LITTLE).They sent someone out the next day to fix the drain. They said it was my fault since there was long hair in the drain. Uh, NOT my fault. but prior owner. I have NEVER used that bathroom for shower or bath ever! The installer was the only decent person in the whole bunch. He was on time, polite and actually went above and beyond the call of duty, since he had to drive here from Tennessee twice in two days. I think that they just took total advantage of an older person who wasn't clear with everything and didn't have anyone to ask. I wouldn't use them again if they were to give me a new tub with jets and free installation. Sad, sad, sad situation.

    RENOVATION CREW
They were very nice, very efficient, they did a good job, and the price was reasonable. They were very nice and considerate, they did excellent, quality work, and they were very fast. They ripped the old cabinets out of my kitchen, and put new ones, new floor, new appliances, new counter and were done in  5 days, except for touch up. We had made the cabinets ahead of time. The cabinet maker had recommended them too.

I was very satisfied from start to finish with the work performed.  The workers were all nice and easy to work with.  I think everything was done in a timely manner.  Overall, it was a very good experience.
Stuart Banks is an honest contractor and businessman.  I would definitely recommend his company to others.

    Banks Home Building Inc
Banks Home Building renovated a crumbling 80+ year old historical house. Floors were falling through, plaster cracked, windows leaking, roof leaking, 80-year-old wire and knob electrical system; just to name a few challenges.  Their attention to detail for our 80+ year old house was amazing. All the moldings for the addition were hand crafted and matched the existing house down to every detail. It is very difficult to tell where the old house stops and the addition begins. The job superintendent has much experience with historical houses and was wonderful to work with. Nothing was ever a problem for Banks Home Building. If something came up on the job, it was solved immediately with no major discussion, issues, or price overages. Stuart Banks, the owner, is a very honest and ethical business man. We even lived in the existing house while the addition was being constructed.  The work was completed in the timeline estimated by the contractor.

    Banks Home Building Inc
Banks Home Building was a great contractor to work with. Very professional, honest and ethical.  His subs were very well trained and timely. The materials used in our house were top quality. The house was completed on schedule and exactly to our plans and specifications without many change orders.  All change orders were by our choice for additional services or scope.  We had several bids on this project and Banks Home Building was the most competitive bid. We have since used him again on a second home.
