Usually I walk out feeling MUCH better than when I went in. His office also offers 5 minute massages after he sees you to work on the problem area. I have never had any other chiropractic office offer that to me!

    Goyne, Dr. Cheryl
My appointment with Dr. Goyne went extremely well. She even came into my room at my appointment time, even though she was a little off schedule. She asked me a lot of questions about my migraines and answered all of my questions. She kept me on all of my medicines that my old neurologist had me on and added a pain pill and a vitamin. I go back on January 29 and she wants me to get a list from my pharmacist of all the medicines that I have been on as far as they can go back so she can see what all preventatives I been on. She said that this next appointment would be a lot more in depth. I have been taking 50,000IU of vitamin D and she wanted me to get lab results of where my vitamin D levels were. I was very pleased with Dr. Goyne and would highly recommend her.

Jesse is a very good massage and neuromusculat therapist. I find that deep massage after chiropractic treatment is a definite help in treating ongoing back pain.

    Sandra Durham MD
This was the first experience I had with a pain management specialist, I had only seen doctors to try to correct the problem and get rid of the pain.  I felt like I was giving up but what a difference in the approach to pain and the attitude of the doctor and staff.  No one treated me like an addict, no sideways glances, no accusations.  I left feeling like a real person with a real illness.  I am thankful to Dr. Durham and doctors like her, she gave me my life back.  She once told me that after all that is why the medications are manufactured, for people with pain.  She asked, "if you were diabetic would you hesitate to ask for insulin?" There are a few more rules than a general doctor would have and the access to the doctor and staff is more restrictive but only due to the nature of the practice and their responsibility not to contribute to the growing problem of drug addiction in our society today. Chronic pain can be very lonely and depressing so if you haven't tried a pain management program, try it, life is too short not to enjoy each day to the greatest extent possible.

I am very confident with him. He was really great. I had surgery planned but I was really glad to hear that we could try other things first. He is so nice, his bedside manner is really great. He explained everything to me and it seemed like he went the extra mile to explain it all clearly. I feel really good about his background and education. I like the fact that he wanted to try other options before surgery. I did have to wait in the waiting room for a long time, but once I got to see him, he was really great. I felt really hopeful about the treatment plan after I left.

    Goyne, Dr. Cheryl
I have been seeing her since 2006. She is a very good doctor. She listens and tries to do the best she can for me. She is very up-to-date with the new medicines/techniques that are out there. She will talk with you about what has not worked and other things to try. I would highly recommend her to anyone and will continue to see her in the future.

    Greystone Back Pain Center LLC
Overall, the experience with them has been very good. They use IDD therapy for treatment and it is just wonderful ? I have been going to this clinic for three years. I visited them with back pain and their treatment was so effective that I did not have the pain after four months. They try to cater to my particular needs as best as they can. They use a computerized machine which is really nice and helpful. The office is absolutely wonderful, but, it is a little difficult to get in here.

    Swillie, Dr. Rodney K.
Dr. Swillie started off trying to be helpful.  I have severe refractory migraine that do not respond to any treatment. Dr. Swillie had admitted me to the hospital two times but became frustrated with me because no treatment was working.  He referred me to a pain specialist and told me he did not want me to return until I had gotten in to a pain clinic and I was ok with this.  I went to a pain clinic but they said it would take several days to evaluate my history.  I returned to Dr Swillie and explained the situation.  He called the pain clinic and verified my story, however he refused to treat me even though I had done all he had asked.  It was the Thursday before my birthday and I begged him to give me a very small prescription so I would be able to make the trip to my hometown in Indiana to see my family.  He refused and told me to "stop coming to him with my problems"  I thought that was what doctors were for.  I was in the middle of explaining how my migraines had gotten worse and changed location; was using my arm to demonstrate how they started in the back of my head and were moving forward when he physically grabbed my arm and led me out of his office in front of staff and other patients.  He told me I would not be welcome back.

Alabama Orthopedic Spine & Sports Medicine
This is a review for Dr Carnel that is with Alabama orthopedic spine and sport as a floating pain specialist...so that is why Andrews sports medicine is mentioned, but it is still a review based on an appointment with Dr Carnel. I had to go to Andrews sports medicine downtown for the consultation with Dr Carmel. I was told by Lucy (Dr Carnel's assistant) that I only had to go there for the consult....I told her I didn't want to go down there for the long haul and she assured me that I ONLY had to go there for a consult which was NOT the case. Dr Carnel doesn't have an office, he is a floater so you have to do to Andrews (or wherever your dr is that originally referred you to Dr Carnel....this was NOT told to me prior to me making the app....that I had to keep going to Andrews or I would of NEVER of made an app with Dr Carnel...totally lied to me even though I asked since I didn't want to go to Andrews for the long term) Dr Carnels staff and Andrews is incompetent deal with how incompetent that office is. They couldn't find my paper work at the office....then I wait for another 30 min in another area then they finally get me in a room....at this point I had been at Andrews for an hour and 25 min and then comes in a fellow named Dr Cubics (sp) and doesn't even give me his name. I was like are you Dr Carnel and he is like no....Im a fellow, it is fine, we are all friends here.....Im like um no it is not okay....I sat there with this pushy, over talking crappy dr trying to explain where my mri was done and what dr did it and he was over talking me so much he never heard a freaking thing I said. I was just wasting my time with him. Lucy should of told me I had to see a fellow.....I do NOT do fellows, PA's or any of that crap. I made an app with Dr Carnel and NOT anyone else. I wanted to leave and this crazy women that calls herself an assistant talked me into staying....big mistake. If I come back there I have always see a fellow and Dr Carnel does NOT go anywhere as I was told. It was a big waste of time, money and got no help and just headaches from the experience. When I called Ordeal (Dr Carnel's administration manager) she didn't call back so I called again...she was like um yea I got your message....no sorry or anything.....just so wrong. She was like you should of asked if you were going to see a fellow...what the crap....um no yall should of told me I had to see a fellow upprofessional woman....I made an app with Dr Carnel...why would I ask if Im going to see a fellow. Just passing the buck. She was like that is what he has been doing for 15 years....how in the crap was I supposed to know that. Also I asked when I made the app if I had to go to Andrews and someone names Lucy said only for the consult....that is a lie.....you have to always do to Andres unless he does surgery on you. Why would I ever have a pain guy do surgery on me......this place needs to get there facts correct and stop stealing money from their patients. I would of NEVER of seen Dr Carnel if I would of been told I had to see a fellow or if I hadn't of been lied to about having to go to Andrews. Just a huge waste of time and money. Dr Cubics was a joke and has horrible bedside manner. Run away from this place. I have seen fellows before and when I told the dr that I don't like seeing them and do I have to see them the dr has always said no. Some are even polite and say hey I have a fellow with me do you mind if he talks with you and then you have a choice. I was told AFTER my app and NOT before so they aleady have my money now that I had to always see fellows, that that is the way he does it. Well tell your patients then when they make an app then....so they can decide for themselves if that is what they want to do. This is the only time in my entire life that I have made an app with a Dr and then forced to see a fellow and that even when I asked the dr or at least his assistant Debbie said when she asked him that I had to see a fellow. Just wrong.....that should be disclosed upfront.  Who in the crap wants to deal with a fellow after you've been waiting for over an hour...so inappropriate. And so much blatant disregard for patients and their time and money. They don't give a crap about their patients nor respect them. A horrible experience all the way around. I would NOT recommend this dr, unless you like to wait hours, see a fellow, be told you NOT going to have to go to Andrews and can just be lied to by Lucy when they tell you you can go other places after the consult. I cant believe places this bad exist. I just hope Dr Cubics, Dr Carnel, Lucy and Ordeal all have to deal with such horrible disregard for their health care and see how it feels. If given the correct facts about Dr Carnels practice I would of NEVER of wasted my time....they just want your money any way they can get it. Disgraceful!!!!!!!!!!!!
