    Over the Mountain Pediatrics
We've been going here for almost 14 years. We've been so pleased, even if we have to see someone other then our regular doctor, Elizabeth Hodges.

    BLUE CROSS & BLUE SHIELD
I rarely have to call them for any administrative issues but the last time that I did, they were really good. I haven't had any issues with them so far and I am happy that they are out there.

    St Vincent's East
It was the nicest place I'd ever been. I didn't want to go home. They were very friendly, good, fast, and it was a good experience. It is a teaching hospital. I had some issues getting my personal records from billing.

    Children's of Alabama
We ended up having to stay in the hospital for 3 days. We saw over 10 doctors and even more hospital staff. There was one nurse supervisor that was less than courteous. Out of that many people though, there's bound to be one that is bad. Overall we were very happy with Children's of Birmingham.

    Uab Hospital
The Doctors at UAB are wonderful. I have several doctors there. A lot of people I know go there. I have lung disease from second-hand smoke and I go to a lung specialist. I have my primary care physician there. I go to pain management for my back because I can't have surgery because of my lung problem, it would be too risky. So their pain management is wonderful. I had tried another place, tried to do something and UAB is by far the best because they don't treat you with drugs they do epidurals, which really helps. I have been to a lot of different specialists there, orthopedic and that type. I've been satisfied. First of all I had a horrible allergic reaction to something because my grandson is out here helping and my face broke out in rashes and hives. They told me to get in at 8 o'clock the next morning because I had called them at about 3 the previous day, and they gave me medication and got it resolved. It was pretty painful and it took me about four days to get over it. It was itchy and trying not to scratch - especially on my face - was hard. The staff and Doctors are polite. They have patient advocates if you are not satisfied or if they've been rude that you can call. They can get that resolved. To me, there's no better place than UAB. If I call about something I will hear back on the same day. I have been in hospital with pneumonia. I got a horse when we moved here and I've been thrown about three times, and fractured my ribs. They handled that very quickly. I don't get to rid the horse any more. They are very polite and every thing. My hospital experiences have been very good and they took very good care of me. My husband was going there until he passed away. He would say his experience wasn't very good, but of course he wouldn't do anything the Doctor said, and he ended up he died from lung cancer plus diabetes. He was very stubborn. They listen to what I say so communication is great. I am on Medicare and I have a lot of medical bills and I would like them to put them all on to one bill to pay a month instead of little ones all separated. That is the only problem I've really had with them.

They are wonderful with the children and the parents. They help in keeping the anxiety and fear down to a manageable level. They are just excellent. They are good at managing the parents.

I love them for their staff. I know what it is to be a teacher and it takes it out of you to trust people that are having problems or are in pain and you want to be there for them. They were always so good with my husband. They were sound to his needs and tried to keep his spirits up. I think he really thought of them as friends. He was in a lot pain and I just felt very supportive by them. I am not a nurse and I thought maybe I won't know if something they did and they were always so good and they will call anytime and check with us. Even after he passed away some of them came back to see how I was doing. I would recommend them. That is the most stressful job in the world. The nurses were wonderful. They put a more personal face on the whole incident. There are others in there that are probably good and we were so fortunate to get these types of ladies. They were aligned with my dog and he knew when they would come. I had no problems and they did everything I need.
