So this is like the fourth time we have used these folks and I was sad when the first person used was unavailable. Who could be as good?! All of them! Excellent standards! Sent questions the first day because we changed up protocols since the first time we used them. Obviously they had read the previous protocol! We were texted and asked about the changes! Each is different and awesome in their own way! Able to care for a rescue with numerous issues. No problem. Sent pictures...oh the sweetness! Such peace of mind!

    Robinson Hill Road Vet Clinic
I took my son's cat in to be seen because he was vomiting, unsteady on his feet and very lethargic. Dr. Struby was not there that day, and Rogers was not in the clinic when I got there. I was told I could leave the cat and they would call me as soon as he was seen and diagnosed. Rogers called and told me the cat was in "terrible shape, he was anemic, his nutritional status was horrible and he had a huge mass in his abdomen, and it probably wasn't worth the time and expense to treat him." This is a healthy 4 year old neutered male cat. My son was at work, and I was incredulous. I said to Rogers "Are you sure we are talking about the same cat?" He offered no treatment, no diagnostic tests, nothing. He did finally agree to confer with Dr. Struby the next day. I really love Dr. Struby, she is interested in your animal and their place in the family. She really wants to do what is right for the animal and you. Dr. Struby saw the cat approximately 20 hours after he was brought in to the clinic for treatment, and did an X-ray and called and told me that the cat had a blocked urinary system. The huge mass in the cat's abdomen was his bladder!!! This situation is a medical emergency and Rogers denied treatment to our cat for almost 24 hours. A male cat can die from this, and it does not take too long to happen. I cannot believe that a Vet that has graduated from school and passed boards and practiced for any length of time cannot tell the difference in an abdominal mass and a distended bladder. If you value your pet DO NOT TAKE IT TO ROGERS!!!!!!! I cannot call him "Dr." because I have no respect for him and do not trust him at all. I would love to be able to give the clinic a glowing recommendation because of Dr. Struby, but he is her partner and the chance we would have to have him treat one of our animals is just too real. We are going to another vet. And I am reporting him to the Vet Licensing Board. The cat has continued to have problems and I blame that on his delay in getting treatment, which is inexcusable.

I have sit there for an hour and then I sit there in another hour. But they have emergencies coming in and there are no options. This time we had a 10 o'clock appointment but the person ahead of us had an appointment and they brought in 4 dogs. All 5 of our dogs go there.

Carriage Hills Animal Hospital and Pet Resort
I have been using Carriage Hills for over 20 years with an assortment of pets including many dogs and cats, and even birds. I also use Carriage Hills for boarding my dogs when I go out of town. The service has always been excellent, the staff very friendly and caring, and the facility very clean. Have never had a problem boarding dogs there. They always come home as well as when they were dropped off.

    Banfield Pet Hospital
We don't have any pets now; they died.  But Banfield was very good.  You pay so much every month and most of the stuff you didn't have to pay nothing for when you take them over.  They did just about anything unless she had to have some lab work done and they had to send me down to Georgia.  Stuff like that, they would charge you for.  They had about three or four different levels you could get and we got the high level, all of the shots and everything.  We had two dogs.  I though a lot of Banfield; they did an outstanding job.  You don't usually have to wait very long to get in.  They were very friendly and very helpful.  They put one dog to sleep; they had sympathy for her.  We're not gonna have any more pets; we're just getting old and old folks don't need dogs.  We want to travel and do things and if you got dogs it creates problems.

    Montgomery Veterinary Associates
We had just moved to the area approximately four weeks prior.  We had waited to adopt a new dog until we were settled in our new home and were eager to add another family member.  We adopted a four year old shih tsu that was rescued from a puppy mill; she had been a breeding mama her whole life and was then discarded when she turned four years old.  Anyways, the second day we had Gertie my husband picked her up and put her on the bed with him to take a nap.  Our other dog loves this and he assumed Gertie would love it too.  Not so much.  She immediately flew off the bed and landed with a thud.  We looked her over to see if anything was hurt but she seemed ok.  This happened, of course, on a long weekend.  Sunday and Monday passed and Gertie wanted to hide all the time.  Something seemed very wrong and we needed to get her to a vet.  As I said, we had just moved to the area and didn't have a vet yet, but I called Montgomery Vet Associates and they agreed to see her immediately.  Dr. Armstrong examined her and discovered she had broken her jaw.  He started her on antibiotics and took her into surgery right away.
I will never forget how these people who had no idea who I was and had never seen my dog before treated her as if she were their very own dog.  Dr. Armstrong performed a stellar surgery and Gertie is now as good as new.  The staff has always been very pleasant and accommodating to me since and their groomer does a terrific job with Gertie.

My vet is fabulous. It has probably been twenty years that I have been using her. She is wonderful. She loves animals. She gets down on the floor and plays with my dog. I went to pick my cat up one time and the girl went to get him out of the age and couldn’t find him and he was standing in her office on her desk. Sometimes if you are unable to pay and if she knows you, she will let you by until you pay. Sometimes it takes a couple of days to get an appointment unless it is an emergency, which is typical.

We originally asked Creature Comforts to watch them for 10 days while we were out of town. Our plans changed, and we adjusted to only 3 days. She was flexible and without complaint. The price of services are not listed anywhere on the website. She charged $18/visit on regular days and $23/visit on holidays. This is a much better price than boarding our pets, but is more than we pay typically for someone to feed our dogs at home ($20/day)
She requested an introduction appointment and tour of our home, which we provided. She was punctual to this appointment.
Barbara was nice and did take good notes as well as "starting a file". She left the packet with us and requested that we leave it with the payment upon her first arrival. She requested the key be dropped off at her home prior to the start date in a lockbox that she has.
We followed all of the instructions. During our trip, she made no communication efforts with us. We arrived home and the check was gone, but all the paperwork and instructions she requested were still on the table. She made no contact with us after the dates had passed to ensure we had arrived home and our pets received care, or to return our house key. Other than the check being gone, there was no evidence that Barbara was in our home. This is both good and bad in my opinion.
After a week, we called to get our key back. While it was a timely return -- it required several phone calls to arrange for the exchange later that day. When she returned our key, it was provided to us on a plastic ring with our names on it. When my husband asked what happened to the keyring we had provided with the key she simply stated she didn't know and she couldn't accept any type of keyrings with keys. (i.e., she removed it and did not return it).
As far as we could tell, our dogs had been fed and watered as requested. Nothing in our home was disturbed. But we were not impressed. Honestly, we've had better help from neighbor teenagers for a much lower price. We don't need our dogs to be coddled, but it would be nice to hear from whomever is watching them that all is well with your dogs and property while you are away.

If you need a vet, go here. Dr. Struby is helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, cheerful, and bunch of other great qualities. She is on time, fully attentive to my dog, and really enjoys animals. I've been there twice and feel like I've found a great and quot;home vet.and quot; The offices are a little dated, and some might say shabby... but Dr Struby, her assistant, and the receptionist are cheery enough to make up for the cosmetics.
