Hospital Care reviews in Montgomery

  • You name it I had a problem with it, the hospital is short staffed severely, your left for hours sometimes without being checked on by a nurse, it is not clean, the staff professionalism is not good and punctuality for anything is terrible. I am basing this on multiple surgeries in the past.

  • The nurses are just awesome. I had some of the best nurses. It was clean and well-maintained. I think the people genuinely care about how I was doing. I would go there mainly because I feel that I would get good health care. Their rooms are big enough to accommodate a family member to stay with me. We are usually cramped up in a tiny little closet of a room and their rooms are just bigger, and it is not such a mess trying to have someone stay with me or sit with me, and the nurses can get in there. They just have really friendly staff. It was just nice to see that much consideration given to myself and my family.

  • I went to the ER with abdominal pains. Was triaged fairly quickly for late on a Saturday night (15 minutes) and moved to an ER room about 15 minutes later. It took about an hour before an IV was started and then another 30 minutes before an ER doc came by (for the first time) and questioned why I wasn't on pain meds, yet. Once that happened, I was sent for a CT Scan. An hour later, I was told that I needed to be admitted to see a surgeon for my apppendix and a urologist for a kidney stone. I was moved to the "Express Admit Unit" where I waited for 11 hours before the first surgeon showed up. The surgeon said I did not need his services, there was no reason to remove my appendix. Then, they apparently called a urologist, who showed up within an hour. The urologist was great and suggested that if I didn't need pain control, I didn't need to be in the hospital. He took the most thorough history of anyone, helped me gather records to take to my urologist back home, and even asked the nurse to bring me a drink for the first time in 16 hours. The big disappointment to me was that I had to wait 11 hours for a surgeon to poke me in the belly and say I didn't need his services. Even on a weekend, a facility of this size should have been able to get a surgical intern or resident to me in much quicker time. My total time with the ER doc was maybe 3 minutes, tops, for a 20 hour hospital stay.

  • It was pleasant; the people there were very nice and helpful. The nurses were nice and were willing to help. I had no major complaints and the nurses gave me very good care.
