Everything went expected. There was a misquote on price and once I was convinced to go ahead with the project, the price went up. Apparently there had been a miscalculation in measurement and therefore the price was more. Overall, I'm still satisfied with the work.

Its not easy to come by such a professional company from the first point of contact all the way through to the techs who are preforming the actual install . One Call provided a top notch install and excellent customer support . I would most defiantly refer them to anyone in need of a simple repair to a total roof replacement .

Andy provided fast responses to my questions. We have a 2 story house (3 stories in the back). I scheduled the gutter-cleaning service for a time when I would not be home, so I didn't interact with the crew. But they definitely left a clean work site. They cleaned off first story roof in the front as well. The estimate and final cost were the same. It was a pleasure to deal with Andy, and payment online is very easy and quick. They will be my first call the next time I need work done.

Project manager, Scott Lamareoux, is outstanding and honest. I would NOT use this provider unless he is the manager - and I know what subcontractor I would insist on them using, too.

The roofing job was led by a subcontractor, Philip Lucas, and was nothing short of superior. I learned later, from another company that also uses Mr Lucas, that he has an outstanding reputation installing metal roofs and that I could have saved a bundle (about $2500) getting him through this other contractor. (Mr Lucas only works as a subcontractor so you have to ask for him specifically.)

The conversion of my detached garage was a near disaster (though it ended satisfactorily). The estimate was about $2800 more than a competitor's estimate, but because we knew the Picket family through a church connection, we went with them. Pickett has no real direct labor employees, evidently, and everyone they use is whoever costs the less to do a project. (I believe in capitalism and have no problem with this so long as the work is done correctly.) The project was supposed to be four weeks with a handshake to try to get it done in three weeks before a holiday. The first subcontractor didn't order enough concrete and didn't prep the structure appropriately (and as agreed in the estimate) to where even I knew it was going to flood with any rain.  When I tried to suspend the project to get someone to come out and look at my concern, someone (other than Scott) from Pickett came out and said it'd be fine - but as predicted, the day after they "finished" the first time (4 weeks), it rained and the whole place flooded. With no way to drain, mold started right away. After three or four attempts to "save" the work done and fend off more flooding from rain, Scott came out and suggested French drains. A group came out and dug a ditch and put gravel in - not exactly a French drain. So, of course, it flooded again.  With a suggestion to try a deeper (real) French drain, I said no because I knew that wouldn't work long term. I insisted they build a barrier wall or build up the floor to an appropriate height. Scott thought the barrier wall was the best option, but I was charged extra for it. Who was the "A Team" they called in to fix it all? Mr. Lucas and his son who during this time had put on our roof. If he'd been the subcontractor on the detached garage conversion from the start, I'm convinced there would have been no problems. There were other little things that made the whole project stressful. Now, had I not realized and trusted that Scott was a "man of his word," which he is, I just don't believe it would have ever been resolved satisfactorily. In the end, a 3-4 week project was complete in just over 3 months.

in the end, it all worked out and I have a new office, but it wasn't, by any stretch of the imagination, a smooth experience.

estimate and price were issues here.

Very dissatisfied with performance of subcontractor. Sloppy work, left boots around roof vent pipes off when leaving for the day. Thunderstorm that night soaked sheetrock and cabinets in kitchen and caused tile to buck up on countertop. As we were intending a kitchen remodel, we did not hold the contractor responsible.

Ridge vent was not overlapped properly by metal covering peak of roof. This caused leak evident when strong west wind combined with heavy rain (e.g. most severe weather events in Alabama). Builder sent sub back to seal roof vent on west side. No further problem with this issue.

Years later, after a four day rain event, the sheetrock tape fell and a leak started in our sunroom. We went into the attic and found evidence of a very long term leak, having rotted two square feet of roof decking. Further inspection has revealed several spots which apparently leak a small amount EVERY time it rains. These do not leak enough to saturate the insulation so that water comes down into the living quarters, which explains how they have escaped notice. They have ,however, each caused a spot of rot, in varying degrees,  in the roof decking.  These spots all show evidence of leaking since the roof was installed.

Metal roofs are supposed to be the end of your roof worries for life. At least that was the way we were sold on one. We have not found that to be the case. We have more leaks now than when we contracted the roof to be installed.

This was my only experience with Dave's and it will be my last.

We chose another roofer who seemed more interested in doing what we asked for, replacing rather than patching. I do appreciate their efforts to save me money, however, and if you need repairs doen on a budget, these may be your guys.

They arrived promptly at designated time, spent some time looking at the roof, and then gave a detailed written estimate on the spot. I would have chosen them had I not found someone to install a metal roof AND a vinyl soffit sytem for only a little more. I was a bit disappointed that they only planned to replaced rotten wood and paint to match. I would have preferred that they paint all of the trim.

Mr. Howard came out on a weekend to meet with us and to give us a quote on a roof and fascia board repair. He was going to provide a qupte on both shingle and metal. He did so, and deeply discounted the cost of the vinyl installation on the soffits and fascia since they would be here anyway doing the roof. He had color samples with him and very patiently answered all of our questions on the pros and cons of shingle vs metl. He was so impressive that we deceided on the spot to go with him. His foreman was out on Monday measuring, and on Tuesday the began work. They finished Late Wednesday afternoon. We are very pleased. We received the written warranty in the mail 2 days later.

Went wonderfully. They were very prompt (despite surrounding storms in the area). They completed the work quickly, and it looks wonderful. Very thankful to find this company and will use again!

He fixed the roof in less than 2 hours. Very reasonable prices. He is very nice. He even called back to make sure it wasn't leaking any more and said that if it eve does leak he would come back to fix it. He was very efficient and he did a great job cleaning up after the work was done. I will definitely use him again for any project that I have.
