    Discount Appliance Repair
Paul came to diagnose the problem and he charged a 60.00 cash only service fee. He told me that it was a valve that needed to be replaced and it would cost 160.00$ cash! I gave him the go ahead. He came back a couple of days later and replaced the part. It was not working after the part was replaced. He told me to run 3 gallons of water through to get the air out. I did everything he told me to do and it still does not work properly. He told me to let him know if it didnt start working that he would give me a refund. I have texted him many times, and given him many opportunities to return the money. He still hasnt returned the money. Very disappointed! I would not recommend his services.

    Sears Appliance Repair
Repairman did a few things, then told me I needed a $400+ repair job as the problem was my entire freezer. I said I'd buy a new refrig. Not believing him I put a cup of water in my freezer which froze immediately. He apparently adjusted a thermostat which I did not know was on top of the freezer (and he did not tell me) and the ice maker is now working fine. He and the person scheduling my service was more interested in selling me a warranty for $49/month than offering repair service. Do not call these people.

At first I thought it was great, but when they couldn't get the ice maker to come through the door, I would say it was fair because they were going to charge me to come back and fix it. The pricing was good. They charged me another trip charge to check it out because the ice wasn't coming through the door.

I had to call them back to let them know I needed something else, and they charged me another charge. I assumed the ice was going to come out of the door. They didn't come out because they were going to charge me another trip charge, so I didn't do it. I called and let them know that the ice should've come through the door the first time.

TJ was able to come out the next day, and he was very knowledgeable and had a lot of helpful information. He was able to determine what the problem was, and he was straightforward about my options for replacing the part versus buying a new unit.

They did a good job. They had to replaced almost every part to get it going. It is an old refrigerator. They were very professional. I thought the price was pretty good. It was an old refrigerator and did not know if anyone could fix that. I had been putting it off for years and did not know who would do it. So I looked up Angie's list to find someone to do it. I used them and thought it was a fairly good price. The quality was good. They follow up very well. I only thing I did not understand was I thought I would be able to get ice through the door after that and they said it that would be a totally different project. It makes ice but it will not come through the door. They said that that would be a different project. They charged only $68 to come out and then charge $40 for labor.

Arrived on time after pre call, performed repair promptly with part on board van, vacuumed out hoses and did a rinse/spin check. Cleaned up all items and was courteous and professional. Very satisfied.

She checked the refrigerator and said two parts needed replacing; she came back with one of the parts and said the other part would take 2-5 days to arrive. It took two weeks to arrive and she installed it. The refrigerator still did not work, and after two weeks without a refrigerator I bought a new one and had the old one hauled away. Even though the refrigerator was not repaired I got a bill from Big Bill's for $426.00.

Left a message over the weekend. Angie returned my call Monday morning at 0830 and we set up an appointment time window for Tuesday afternoon. She offered to call one hour in advance so that I could still work as long as possible before leaving to meet her, which was very useful. She called as requested and she and her Mom arrived promptly. They diagnosed the initial problem and then asked a couple of questions about the details of what happened, which allowed them to more accurately assess the problem and make sure all the components were fixed. Before leaving they also checked the entire stove and oven to make sure there were no other issues that we had overlooked.

They came on time. Spent less than a minute looking at it and said it would be too expensive to repair, buy a new one. I did. Later I found you tube videos on how to repair and buy the parts. Not sure I came out ahead.

I called on Wednesday. Appointment was set up for Friday between 8 am and 1 pm. A delightful repairwoman and man came out. They called before coming. I am so sorry I did not get their names but I think the woman was Angie. Both were like family as soon as they came in the door. I left them to it and they discovered the issue immediately--leaky gasket. Both pointed out the evidence of wet dust and a water line on the inside of the frame where the spinning tub threw water. I wanted their opinion for possibility of repair so I could decide if burial or repair was the best course. Alas, burial was the best option. I had no complaints with the cost of repair just that it was an old machine and didn't think it would be worth it. The cost for the service call was most reasonable. Nowadays you expect to pay almost a hundred for people to just talk to you. This amount was lower. Angie even gave her opinion on a replacement washer brand and the history of this brand and why it would be a good one after I asked her. No, they do not sell appliances, I asked. I have one of their magnets on my refrigerator now and will not hesitate to call for any appliance.
