  • Dogs dropped of at 0730, pick up 4:30. Dogs were not ready, I waited until 6:15 PM. I ask that dogs be cut short. My dogs were returned to me totally scalped, eyebrows on one dog were left so long I thought his eye was swollen. Their muzzles were gapped, uneven, and their beards were totally gone. This is the second and LAST time I will use this groomer. I would NOT recommend taking any pet that requires grooming beyond a basis bath.

Valerie is a mobile pet groomer. Although she is new(er) to mobile services (less than a year)- she has been professionally grooming for a LONG time. I have been using her as a groomer for over 4 years. She does an awesome job at small and big dogs. I have 100lb White German Shepard (who doesn't really like people much-but Valerie is great with her) and a 65lb pit/shepard mix and she's been grooming them for 3 years now. She's the best groomer we've ever! Super great at furminator treatments, as well! (The other groomers don't even do half as good of a job as Valerie does - and we've tried multiple other groomers as Valerie was unavailable during certain periods.) We drove over a hour each way to have Valerie groom our babies and now she'll be able to come to us, it's so awesome! Highly recommend to anyone!
The total price above is for her to come to my house and do the grooming, de-shedding, nail grinding on BOTH dogs. (Your mileage may vary depending on type of cut, breed of dog, etc) for BOTH dogs.  To give you a price comparison, if I would go to Petsmart, Pet Depot, or similar places, My costs higher than Valerie's (over $175) for the same services and with this service I don't spend the time loading the babies into the car, driving them to and from the groomer and they don't spend half the day caged in the groomer waiting for their "turn" at the next step in the assembly line. Valerie focuses solely on YOUR dog until he/she is done and there is no time just sitting in the kennel.

  • I would not recommend them. The service was way overpriced.  My husband said it looked liked they hadn't done anything. It smelled better but the hair cut wasn't good. I would tell other people that their groomers are amatuers. I think they are actually just getting out of school without any experience. The first time I took him the price was good but after that it was twice as much. They wouldn't tell me why because when I picked him up, they said that the girl who took care of him was gone. The first time it was about $60.

  • She does a real good job with the pets and she treats all the animals very well. As far as I can tell, she just seems to have a good interaction with them. Their grooming is always top-notch and I've had no complaints. The haircut was $25 and the facial grooming and nail trimming cost $15.

  • The ladies at Blue Sky Pet Spa has trimmed my cat's nails, bathed him and trimmed him for the past three years. I would not consider using any other service. Andi and Janet are always friendly, prompt and concerned about his well being.

  • (We switched to this vet when we took home a 7 mo rescue pup. I really like this facility as it offers multiple services including vet care, hospitalization, doggie day care and grooming. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. It's fairly easy to get an appointment with little wait time. We were offered a site tour and found it to be well maintained, orderly and sanitary. The facility is fairly new and well equipped. Unlike our prior vet, when it came time to get an urine sample, we did not have to walk our dog outside chasing him with a soup ladle. As part of our intial exam, a vet tech met with us to talk about dog care and dental care. We were given a bag of samples containing all kinds of goodies. The doctor even followed up with a phone call within 3 days to ensure our pup was doing well. We have gotten our dog groomed here too. Price is reasonable and the groomer has done what we ask her to do which is a real puppy cut - not a shaved down buzz. Our pup also attends the Unleashed Day Camp which also includes obedience training. I like that he comes home tired and with a report card! As far as pricing, MVH initial exam costs the same as our prior vet. We are always asked if we want a written cost estimate prior to any testing or services being performed. The only challenge I have with vets in general is they retail dog food brands that are of inferior quality i.e. contain soy, wheat, corn, preservatives, artificial coloring, animal by-products etc... I would prefer vets in general would learn more about nutrition and the dog brands they retail. Overall, we are extremely happy with Madison Vet Hospital! They are professional and sincere in doing what is best for you in the interest of your four-llegged family member.

  • My recently adopted dog (Bonnie) is a year old small terrier mix and was not well cared for by her previous owner. She came into the shelter covered in matted hair, fleas and ticks. The shelter employees were able to clean her up enough for adoption, but her entire lower body was horribly matted. I asked the groomer to shave the dog and just do her best, fully expecting the dog to come back shaved bald and looking pitiful until her hair could grow back properly. I was stunned when I picked up Bonnie later that day - she was beautiful! The groomer had trimmed the hair very short but managed to leave her with a smooth, silky coat! I was absolutely amazed at how great she looked!
My other dog was easy - just a bath and nail trim. All her nails were clipped and filed smooth, and I was very pleased to see they got as much length off them as safely possible.
The groomer also had little doggie bandanas on my girls, and though they only stayed on a couple of days, they were super cute and I appreciated the little extra touch.
I felt the price was fair, certainly comparable to other groomers. The staff was very friendly and obviously care for dogs; every dog that came in while I was filling out new customer paperwork was addressed by name by the woman helping me. I will definitely be taking my dogs back for regular grooming needs.

  • Just recently moved to the area. Used them for just a bath on my Min Schnauzer. Was very please with the service and would recommend them to others. Facility was clean and did not smell of pets. My dog was cleaned and brushed out. Looked good and his level of stress was minimal. Will be using them again. Moved here from Nashville so the price was cheaper than what I am use to.

  • My dog Sarah, goes to the vet every Wednesday for her weekly fluff and buff. She gets a bath, has her nails clipped and her teeth brushed. The staff are her personal friends.  She is so excited to spend time with them all.  This clinic gives great personal service at very competitive prices. We wouldn't take our animals to any other vet in our local area.

  • They are awesome. They are incredibly nice, literally every dog that I saw go in there, just really likes going there. There is just a relaxed atmosphere. They have a doggie daycare. It is like the dogs actually run into their place. The people would stop and open the door and the dogs will literally run to the store door and wait to be let in. It is hilarious! I have never seen a place that groom dogs, have so many dogs that are that ( inaudible 4:21:3) about going there, it's really weird. Normally groomers - the dogs like: oh, do I have to go. But this is like, my dog, he likes going there - like oh OK let's go! The dogs go by themselves. Sometimes you have to drag dogs to go someplace for that sort of stuff. He is always happy when he leaves there, they groom perfectly. I told them what I want and they do it exactly how I want it every time. They are very there for you. I can only recommend them, they are very good. Also, if you cant pick him up after the dog is done, the dog can stay there. They have a daycare. If you want to pick him up right after he is done, they will call you right away. Like I said, it is pretty awesome. The price is totally reasonable, the do a fantastic job. They dog is trimmed and groomed properly. I've had other dogs with longer fur that needed to be trimmed and stuff and with most them - I have been in Europe, I've been here in the States in different areas - and I've always ended up doing it myself, because I could never find a place that I was comfortable with. This place is just 10 out of 10. You get what you pay for. I am perfectly OK with the price. They really work to accommodate you, depending on how your time is. I am just blown away on how they run their place, it is clean. If you have dogs that actually want to go there, that is saying a lot.
