    Tidal Defense Inc
I live on the south shore of East Bay in Gulf Breeze. I had minor damage to my dock due to the northerly winds and high wave action during Hurricane Michael. Will and Sam worked with me to diagnose what had to be done and quoted a fair price. I received a call to let me know that my job was one of three in my neighborhood that they expected to do the following day. Unfortunately, the other jobs on that day delayed them but we were able to arrange a time on the next day. They arrived on time and completed the job efficiently and professionally. I was especially impressed with the material that was used. Hurricane clips and fasteners were all stainless steel. Screws, not nails, were used. The methods that they used exceeded those of the original installer. Like they advertise in their brochure, they "build with the next storm in mind." I highly recommend Tidal Defense, Inc. for both new and repair marine construction.

    Loftis Marine Division Inc
Terrific.......these guys are pros. They were "EARLY" every morning for work. They were polite and their work is basically flawless. The quality of their construction and materials is excellent. I am very pleased. They even cleaned up so it was spotless when they were finished. No nails, screws, odd pieces of wood.......nothing.....no trash left behind. They were a pleasure to do business with. Peter, the design estimator and boss is a terrific guy and delivered on ALL of his promises!

    Loftis Marine Division Inc
Loftis Marine Division are professionals with a personal touch.   Loftis builds only quality piers.  The Loftis Marine estimate was the most detailed of all that I received.   Other bids that I received were cheaper initially, but when I sorted through them and got to the point where I was comparing "apples to apples", Loftis' price was very competitive.  Loftis staff were very willing to walk me through and discuss the details of the bid and project timeline.   The project was professionally managed and well executed. A weekly check-in was held to provide me updates and ensure my satisfaction.   During construction, Loftis personnel were courteous and and respectful to my neighbors and went to great lengths to not adversely impact them.  My lot was thoroughly cleaned after the project.  Loftis honored all commitments / delivered on all promises.  My expectations were exceeded in every respect.

First, I will admit that I am not the easiest customer when it comes to construction. Jim was one of six contractors I got estimates from. I did not have an easy project as my existing dock was 60+ years old and I wanted to save the old wood. Jim worked with me on that. I also had a (not even close to scale) drawing of what I wanted, and he made that happen. He worked around my schedule, got the job done faster than promised, and the finished project was better than I had hoped for. He stayed within my budget (which was very tight) and has even been back to check and make sure I'm happy with how everything turned out. Here are some of the details that made me so happy with this process: - Jim worked on a tight budget. He told me the cost of removing my old dock and salvaging the old wood, and I opted to do that myself. He took the exact price he quoted me off of his total price. - He finished the job a week sooner than I expected, even though there were a series of storms that stopped work for several days. - During construction, when little details that most contractors would have just made a decision and gone with it, he asked me and gave me options, letting me know what would save money and what would cost more. - A month after the project was completed, Jim stopped by to make sure I was still happy with everything. When was the last time a contractor did that?

Superior work at all times. Due to the quality of his work it is requiring more effort on my part to schedule him but after his work for me over the years I am very reluctant to use others. William is in very high demand for good reason. I am fortunate he is very loyal to his former employers and works to fit me in ASAP.

From the beginning we were blown away by Dave's professionalism. Dave has excellent communication skills, and is good at explaining pros and cons to ideas we have proposed. Dave never tried to push us to do projects we didn't need, and when he made a suggestion, it made sense. Every project has come in on time and on budget; the last one was actually under budget. His subcontractors are held to a high standard; work must be done to exact standards and the area is left clean when finished. We feel so blessed; Dave is honest and fair, and we always know we can count on him to deliver what he promises - even more.

    Pettry Plumbing Heating & Air
Our sewer backed up on a Sunday before Thanksgiving. We called some guy out of the phone book who after 2 hours of trying to figure out where the leak was, told us we had big problems and would be back the next day (we are without plumbing now) with a camera. We call Pettry the next morning who told us they could be out first thing and they wouldn't need a camera to find the leak. Two guys came and it was immediately clear they knew what they were doing. They starting busting concrete on our driveway right away. They got to the leak that afternoon and were able to allow us to use the plumbing that night. It took several days to get everything finished, including re-pouring the concrete. We were so pleased with their work that we asked them to bid installation of water to our dock. The bid came in at half of what another contractor had bid, plus they were taking water from the main line instead to through the house line. Again, they knew what they were doing. Due to the holidays and some other emergencies, it took them several days to get to the work. But as of yesterday, all is completed and we are very happy with the job done! There are 2 master plumbers that do most of the work with several other capable laborers assisting. We highly recommend this company and when we build, we will hire these guys to do the work.

John Loftis is a highly professional marine contractor.  His company built our dock, boatlift and walkover.  They got it done on time and it looks fantastic.  He took care of all permitting, which is great because he knows the players.  If you put your job out to bid, Loftis probably won't be the low bidder, but you can be sure they will provide a quality product.
