  • Wonderful they fixed problems that I have been told by other companies could not be fixed. When it was time to settle up I was expecting an astronomical bill but they actually charged half and I paid the full 425 plus a 300 dollar tip.

  • I was in the market for a vintage swiss watch service.  I drive by this store frequently so it was the first location I thought of.  I called the shop during business hours, and was directed to the voicemail.  I left a voicemail stating my name, number, and the service I was interested in.  After waiting for 3 days with no response, i called back.  Voicemail.  I left another message with the same information.  3 days - nothing.
    Thinking perhaps the voicemail system was not functioning correctly, or at least giving the benefit of the doubt, over the next week I systematically tried calling the shop hoping to catch an actual human.  I called 4 times a day for 5 days - at 9am(first thing in the AM), at 11:30AM(before lunch), as 1:30PM (after lunch) and at 4pm(before closing time).  I never once encountered a human answering the phone.

  • I hired Mr. Coleman to clean up a property that had not had any lawn care for almost a year. He promptly contacted me to schedule the work. The property was very overgrown with tall grass and weeds and covered in pine needles. He let me know what he could do in the allotted time up front.  When the work was complete, he sent me pictures of the property, which is over 60 miles away. I was very impressed. Mr. Coleman went above and beyond what was expected. Not only was the lawn work done well, but all of the pine needles, branches and small dead trees were cleaned up and hauled away. I was very pleased with the work. I'll definitely use him again.

  • My mother recently passed away.  My brother contacted People's Chapel for the arrangements.  We purchased a moderately priced casket, which was very nice for the price. 
    The staff at People's Chapel could not have been more helpful or kind. 
    My mother looked amazing.  Makeup was not detectable - she just looked life-like.
    The death of a loved one is very difficult, but the staff walked us through the process with great patience.

  • "Bad" does not begin to describe my impression of our experience with David Walters/Avalon Studios. David took our wedding pictures this past May, and I cannot imagine a less professional, more upsetting experience, or worse pictures period. 

    Specifically:

    1.) David's wife told my mother-in-law on our wedding day that he is actually blind, which we had never been told. The fact that he has vision problems seemed apparent after we saw the pictures.

    2.) David made us pay the total amount upfront, before he would let us see any of the pictures he had taken.

    3.) The pictures are not just awful, in my opinion, they're also nonsensical and sad.  A few examples: many of the pictures before the wedding are incredibly dark; there are some where people are cut in half while there are yards of empty space on the other side of the picture; there are several pictures with people's heads cut off; the cake cutting pictures barely include any view of the cake (so it's just me holding a knife); and almost all of the pictures are crooked. More pictures than not seem to show people frowning, looking away, or checking their phone.  Please note: David was contracted to stay until the end of the wedding, but he only has about 500 pictures to show for 6 hours total, and many of them show people frowning or checking their cell phones.

    4.) What isn't in the pictures is more troubling than what is.  There are no pictures of the church decorated inside, the wedding procession, the drive-off, the special touches (i.e. my brooch, my great-grandmother's necklace), or of the back deck at the reception (where most of the guests were).  There are almost none of the ceremony generally, the wedding party, or the guests (the church was full, yet he managed to largely exclude guests from the pictures).

    5.) I called David after we saw the pictures and expressed that we were unhappy.  I asked if there were any options in terms of photoshopping or retouching the pictures.  He did not return my call.  I called him several more times and then emailed him several times, but still no answer.  Finally, when I threatened legal action, he sent a short email telling me I would get nothing from him. 

    6.) Beyond the large payment we made to David, he now says that he expects us to pay for each picture individually (which was not in the contract or made clear when we hired him).  I'm not talking about paying for prints here--he wants us to pay for each digital file individually, just to have rights to our own pictures. So unless we pay him even more money, we won't have any pictures of our wedding at all.

    7.) Several guests reported that David was drinking during the reception, and there are no pictures from the end of the reception even though he said he would stay until the end.

    I generally try to avoid leaving bad reviews, but I cannot imagine a less professional or more heartbreaking experience.

  • The service at M2 is good, and the price is much lower than some other providers. I have had trouble finding a hair stylist in Birmingham who can do true blonde highlights (not golden or sort-of a brassy color). M2 is the best I've found since my hometown stylist. I will say I still like my original stylist's color better--she's very good at finding the right color for your skin tone, but M2 has been very patient and responsive to what I'm looking for for a fair price.

  • I have been using Cook and Company ( or its previous bussiness name ) for over 20 years. That are extremely knowledegable with all Tax Laws even obscure ones that others might miss. They are thorough in every detail. You are greated like you were family when you come in. Once the Tax prep starts you are offered something to drink and are never rushed. When you are finished the let you know what you will be paying or getting back. Since they are Enrolled Agents they will handle everything if you are ever audited.

  • April did a great job for a first meeting. I talked to her about my color and if I had more time she would have done my color also with high and low lights. Going back for my color and and eye brow waxing. April also recommend some products for my hair which I am excited to use. Looking forward to many years of great hair cuts from them in the future.

  • The people of Geek Squad were very nice but Geek City is over the Geek Squad and I purchased a warranty contract for the computer to be repaired or replaced. I took my computer to be fixed a month before my contract expired and when I took it to the store I was told they repaired it. Once I got it home it was not fixed and I took it back so they shipped it off. When I got there i was told my hard drive was dead. I found out that they rebuild my computer and I didn't have any of my programs. Afterwards I could not use the original plugs that came with my computer so I keep taking it back then I changed to ATT connect

  • There service is worth the $13 or $15 you spend on computer repair or just questions that you may have about your computer. They really know what they are doing, they get in there and fix your problem. They will walk you through a repair process that also helps you learn how to repair your computer.
