    D & B Pools
    D & B Pools gets the liner from Atlanta. 
    Installs it. Realizes it's defective and they reinstall a new one a week later. 
    Dave apologizes and is very nice. Boy, were we thankful to have someone on our side that wasn't just going disappear on us..
    Liner is still defective on the 2nd installation. Dave gets aggravated. We become worried about our pool. 
    Dave blames the manufacturer. We don't really care we just want it fixed.
    Dave tells us that he will come back and fix it for us. (Glad we saved those conversation records).
    Guess what??? 2 summers later, it still isn't fixed and he claims he isn't in business anymore because of health issues. 
    You can imagine my surprise when I see he is still active on here and other people have had recent good experiences. 
    4 THOUSAND DOLLARS down the drain. A defective pool liner. IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with Dave.
    Luckily, small claims court should be in the near future and we will at least try and get compensated the services his business never adequately provided.

    D & B Pools

    After filling my pool with water after the new liner was installed in early July 2013, the pool began losing water.  My regular pool guy, not D & B patched the torn seam so that no more water would be lost.  This cost me $80.  I notified D & B Pools about the split seam and he said I could either go ahead and get a new liner right then or wait until I closed the pool in the Fall (of 2013).  I chose to wait until the fall.   When it was time to close I attempted by text and phone messages to reach D & B pools to no avail.  So, I went ahead and had the pool closed. In early April of 2014 I wrote the owner, Mr. Dave Burrus a letter saying that when I opened the pool in May I wanted to go ahead and replace the defective liner.  I told him I wanted to hear from him by the end of April.  A week before the end of April (2014) I texted Mr.Burrus and asked what his plan was to replace.  His wife (supposedly) responded and said that Mr. Burrus was in the hospital and had possibly had a heart attack.  I waited about 2 weeks and texted again and asked his plans.  He said that the dr. wanted him to take it easy for about 4 weeks.  I said, "so, can I expect to hear from you after you have rested and recovered?"  He responded in the affirmative.

    It has now been almost 2 years and Mr. Burrus has failed to live up to his promise of replacing my pool liner.  I can take this to Small Claims court but really prefer NOT to have to do this.  I am planning to notify the BBB of Alabama and file a complaint with that agency.

    I have a witness to Mr. Burrus's promise as he also told my son that he would replace the liner.

    John came out and provided a free estimate. We were able to go to their local showroom and see the exact model we wanted. Len and crew cleared and leveled the site, lifted the form with a crane from our driveway over an existing screen room and into place. They then connected all the hoses. They worked well with a separate deck/screenroom crew to coordinate pump placement and addressed issues that came up after the electrician wired the screen room. Upon final completion, Michael coached us on the control pad and recommended chlorine alternative chemicals which we love. They check the levels from a sample we bring in for free. Since then we've had a few bugs to work out which John has addressed promptly and professionally, most of which were covered under warranty. We're swimming in October and probably will into November still using only the economy heating mode. We're very satisfied customers all the way around.
