Lifesaver Storm Shelters of North Alabama is a tornado shelter and storm shelter company that has been selling and installing storm shelters and tornado safe rooms for over 7 years out of the Huntsville, Alabama and Tennessee Valley areas. Our tornado shelters and tornado safe rooms meet or exceed FEMA standards and guidelines and are rated to protect against an EF-5 tornado. Our underground storm shelters are made of fiberglass with a 1/4" steel plate in the lid. When the door is shut, the unit is sealed except for the screened air vents, keeping pests and bugs out of the shelter and is designed in such a way to keep the rain out as well while still allowing adequate ventilation, per FEMA guidelines. Our underground storm shelters start at $3500 installed and offer a safe, quality place to go that you won't have to think twice about using when severe weather is approaching. We also offer an above-ground tornado safe room with our All Weather Safe Rooms which are steel units, installed from $3,795. These tornado safe rooms start at 3 foot by 5 foot (3x5) and can be built to as large as 10 foot by 50 foot, which is the community shelter size. These units can also be built to protect against bullets and fire, in addition to theft and tornadoes. The tornado safe room can also be used as a panic room to protect from burglaries as well as used like a safe to store valuables in with it's 3 heavy-duty deadbolt locks (deluxe model). They have to dig a hole, put these in, there are different sizes you can pick from, I chose one that would seat 12-15 people. They put it in the ground, they anchor it, then they re level the ground back around it, but of course, they don't cover the top so you can open that and there's stairs to go down in, and just pretty neat. Danny Robertson and his crew arrived promptly around 9:45 am and finished the work within about 2 hours and 30 minutes.  Danny and his crew were very professional and the work was done well. There were absolutely no problems or issues.  We are very satisfied.

We apologise for the misunderstanding. We have since moved our display to our new showroom at 101 Ryland Ridge Cir in East Huntsville. We have an LS-12 Lifesaver storm shelter there on display and an LS-6 Lifesaver storm shelter installed there in the ground.

We ordered our safe room on 3/27/12 and were told it would arrive in 4-5 weeks.  I checked in with them after 5 weeks and was informed that the safe rooms were "backed up" due to the storms that happened in OK, after our order was placed.  I  checked in about every 2 weeks after that and was told that the company was backed up and they didn't know when they would get the safe room in.  After 12 we...

We ordered a tornado safe room from them and it was installed in our garage.  The crew that installed it were prompt and efficient.  They cleaned up after themselves and made sure the lock on the door to the safe room worked before they left.
