    America's Best Concrete Construction
Contractor seemed disorganized and didn't communicate well with subs. But they did the work when they said they would at the price quoted. The driveway turned out well; however, the retaining wall was not poured and finished correctly and they had to come back and patch where voids and holes were left. I would recommend them for simple concrete jobs, but not anything complicated.

The work was done very professionally and looks great. Adam went above and beyond what we had agreed upon by checking the entire sprinkler system to ensure there were no other issues. I know now that it will be ready for the hot summer weather.

    Portera Landscape Design
I used Portera Design for my front yard last year -- it was a massive job -- so I asked them to come this year to landscape the narrow area that serves as my "backyard" on the edge of a ravine.  Before, walking back there was risky because the stepping stones had broken and were so uneven that it was dangerous to walk.  There also were no plants at all in that area.  I love the area now; it has a lovely stone walkway that steps gradually up to my patio.  The plants are lovely and welcoming and provide a much-needed screen between my neighbor's house and mine.  David did all of the work by hand; the clearing alone took several days.  I'm very satisfied with the job Portera did last year and this.

You could not get a higher quality of work or professionalism from any other landscape company. Steve stays amazingly focused, is very hands-on during the project and you can tell there is pride in his work and of his associates. His work is timely and efficient, amazingly artistic, plum and soiid. You just have to say "Wow" when he is finished.

    Portera Landscape Design
It went good. He came out and gave us the estimate, but we’ve not moved forward on his plans.  We liked him a lot and he did a good job. He drew up plans for exactly what we wanted. He scheduled the appointment according to our schedule, which was convenient to us.

The crew did an excellent job, matching and building a step down to flow smoothly into the existing patio. To top it off, they edged the old and new patio in brick which tied it beautifully together. It has made our back yard much more inviting and fun to use.

The crew had to move a few plants for the job but put things back in appropriate places and took care to clean up after themselves when the job was finished. We had a few things to pick up but much less than we have had in the past with other contractors.

Matt has a good eye for design and tying it all together. We were very happy with the project, the price and the crew that works for him.

    Outdoor Living Areas Inc
I was very impressed with the degree of detail provided by Mr. Thompson. He really knew his product and was knowledgeable about what our site would need to turn the areas of concern into actually enjoyable outside space. We have a very steep (un-walkable) hill behind our house just 12 feet off the back wall of our home and we wanted to create some living space behind our home. I was even more impressed when after 20 minutes of detailed discussion he advised me against the construction of a retaining wall, which we thought was a solution, because it could result in the death of two valuable old trees. He recommended we consider an alternative solution that would be less costly and far less likely to kill the trees and have a large deck constructed. This company did not specialize in decks so he recommended another business. So professional and considerate. We will call them when ready to landscape the hillside.

    Andy's Landscape Service
The crew was friendly, and I liked that they had an English speaking
crew boss there with the Hispanic workers. They worked hard and pretty
tirelessly and it looked pretty darn good when they finished.
My complaint is that I had to constantly check up on them to make sure
they did what I wanted them to do correctly. I did not feel that I could
leave them to do it on their own. There were numerous instances where I
went out to do a spot check and had to ask them to redo a portion or
point out a mistake. They were always friendly and positive about making
me happy, but I wasn't happy about that part of it. As of right now, there is still one mistake
to be corrected and I have not received a final invoice, so I really am not sure how this is
    going to end.
Overall, I was pleased with the final outcome, but I would be ready to inspect periodically while they work and include that in their cost estimate.

    Portera Landscape Design
Andy and his crew arrived promptly on  Monday morning and  set to work.  We had had quite a bit of rain so the area for the drainage ditch was very muddy.  They dug out the grass and weeds from the rocky bank and set to work on the ditch.  After clearing the  grass from the ditch, they ended work for  Monday.  On Tuesday, they completed the ditch (which involved digging much mud!!) and cleaned out the smaller flower beds.  The roses and daylilies were planted and the place for the stone steps was marked off.  On Wednesday, medium sized river rock was placed in the ditch and the stone steps were set.  Finally the front flower beds were weeded.
After a walk-thru, I asked for some additional daylilies and Mr. Portera decided that the ditch needed some smaller stones on top of the medium stones already placed.  These were delivered and placed that afternonn and work was completed to everyone's satisfaction.

Father Nature Landscapes of Birmingham, inc
We are looking to level our backyard, extend our patio and add a few more details. These guys by far were the most professional. They offered us more for our money. They provided a detail diagram of what to expect. I can not say enough about their professionalism and desire to meet our needs. We have not moved forward with the update, but when we do, they will be doing it for us.
