Phlllip was able to fit us into their schedule. The crew dug a trench and installed a dual water drainage system for the downspouts and surface water. They covered it with pea gravel, which is quite attractive. They cleaned up any mess before leaving and left the area looking better than it did before they came. His crew checked back later to do some follow-up work. Both Phillip and his crew are friendly and professional. They were a pleasure to do business with. I recommend them highly

Phillip is a top-notch professional, that was evident when we had our initial meeting.  Very knowledgeable, very understanding, very polite - the type of person that puts me at ease immediately.  I predict this will be a positive experience as we move forward!  Stay tuned for more details!

Phillip worked on our crawl space prior to selling our house. He worked within our budget to fix our crawl space water problem. He went above and beyond with answering questions and updated us with pictures throughout the process. He even answered questions that our buyer had. We highly recommend Exterior Waterproofing.

    B-Dry Waterproofing and Foundation Repair
My system was installed in 2002, and until this week I have been a satisfied customer.  I've had a few problems in the past but they were quickly responded to and resolved.  That is no longer true. My backup sump pump has a problem indicated by the green light going out.  Please be aware that you can not call directly to the local service center.  You can only call a national number.  You can not call the local manager. And if you request to talk to someone over the manager, you are told that is not possible.  I called on Monday and reported the problem. I called each day, each time explaining the problem, before the repairman,Tyler,  called on Wed. night to say he would come on Thursday.  When he arrived, he was unaware that the backup pump was the problem, so he was unprepared to work on it.  He promised that his manager, Kelly, was researching the problem and would call me before the end of the day to tell me the plan.  I never got that call.  I called the national number a few times trying to reach Kelly.  On Friday, Elizabeth at the service center called me back and promised that either she or Kelly would call me before the end of the day.  That did not happen.  I called the national number again at 5:30pm on Friday and was told Elizabeth had gone home and no one would be available until Monday.  The reason for my urgency is because there are strong storms coming tomorrow (Sunday), and if the power goes out and the backup pump is broken, then I have a flooded basement.  There is no reason for it to take 5 days to fix a simple pump, and certainly no reason to fail to contact me after all the promises to do so.  This is no longer the B-Dry that it once was.  I've recommended them to many of my neighbors but now I'll be warning them instead.  I will post a follow-up to let you know how this turns out.

    Aqua-Guard Waterproofing, Inc.
When we purchased our house in July 2013 and we experienced significant flooding that was undisclosed by the seller. At the time of purchase it was our understanding that the basement had already been water proofed by a local Alabama competitor company when some foundation work had been done. However, the basement continued to flood in spite of the water proofing system installed. We called the competitor out to inspect their work but when they came out but they were resistant and not helpful toward solving our problems but they wanted to give us a quote on a new system even though we already had their system installed. We did not do anything about the flooding, even though we experienced occasional water in our basement, until we experienced another serious flooding event in April of 2014. Aqua Guard previously did work for us at our other home and we were extremely pleased with the quality of the work and that the system worked as advertised. So we called Aqua Guard to inspect the basement of our new house and give us a quote. We called Aqua Guard and they returned our call the same day and set up an appointment to meet with us within two weeks. Mike came to the house and inspected the basement and gave us a quote to rip out the competitor's system and install their system. We discovered that the competitor installed the sump pump in the highest corner of the house and so no water was being evacuated from the basement via the sump pump. Mike also told us we really did not even need a sump pump and that they could expel the water from the basement by sloping the system to the lowest corner of the house and outside. We informed Aqua Guard that we indeed wanted to hire them and they set up an appointment within one month to rip out the old system and install the Aqua Guard system. Mike and his crew showed up on time and discussed the plan and started work immediately. They completed the job in one day, which is impressive considering they had to break up the existing concrete, take out the old system, install the new system, pour new concrete, and run piping outside the house. Aqua Guard's crew was clean and conscientious. There was very little concrete dust or dirt in our basement after their full day of work. Interestingly, when Aqua Guard broke up the concrete and inspected the competitor's system in the area we were having the most difficulty, they discovered that there was tape covering the system so water could not flow through the system to the sump pump (although even if the system had not been taped the water would have not been able to make it to the sump pump because the pump was in the highest corner of the house and the problem spot was in the lowest and the system was not sloped to allow water to run toward the sump pump. In fact, the sump pump installed by the competitor never kicked on once during the year we owned the house).
We have experienced several heavy rains since the Aqua Guard system was installed and we are now confident that our basement will remain dry. We also have peace of mind in knowing that if we have a problem in the future, we can contact Mike and he will come out and fix anything that might go wrong with the Aqua Guard system. We know this from experience. Aqua Guard water proofed the basement in our other house and the sump pump stopped working. We called Mike and they were out that same day to fix the problem and the basement was dry from that day forward.
We are very satisfied with Aqua Guard's service and their product. If we purchase another house with water problems they will be the only waterproofing company we call. We would highly recommend calling and using Aqua Guard for all your waterproofing needs.

    Exterior Waterproofing
Exterior Waterproofing installed drainage in crawl space, treated for mold problems, removed problematic insulation, sealed airflow from outside to cut down on humidity issues, laid down 6 mil. Ground barrier and installed Santa Fe dehumidifier with drain lines to sump pump.  Dug out front planter, waterproofed and installed drainage.
Inspection was conducted by the owner of Exterior Waterproofing and photos were provided of the problem areas.  I was provided a plan to resolve these issues along with a cost estimate.  All work went as planned with no problems.  I was very satisfied with the professionalism and end results Exterior Waterproofing provided.  I would definitely use them again.  There is no more mildew smell in my house.

Phillip came highly recommended by our inspector.  It was very easy to schedule the free consultation with him.  Within a couple of days he prepared a detailed estimate and we scheduled a start date. His crew arrived on time and finished ahead of schedule.  Throughout the process he emailed pictures to keep me up to date on their progress.  There was an issue with some existing support beams in our basement and Philip coordinated with the structural company to have this remedied.  I really appreciated that he took the initiative to take care of this.  This is how business should be done!  I can’t say enough positive things about our experience.

    B-Dry Waterproofing and Foundation Repair
Installation seemed to go fine.  I chose B-Dry over Aquaguard, even though they were more expensive,  because they agreed to remove the basement steps on their own- aquaguard told me I needed to find someone to do it.  After installation, the crew left all my shelves and supplies in the basement in the center of the room and didn't put them back where they had been.  They were covered with tons of dust.  I put everything back myself.  During the next hard rain, water seeped in from under ground where B-Dry had "waterproofed."  I called the company and did not hear from them for several days.  Someone finally came to meet with me, but the water had dried up so they did't do anything.  During the next hard rain when it flooded again, I took pictures.  I called the company and again it took forever for someone to come out, but I at least had the pictures to show them.  A crew came out a week later and made repairs.  Since then I have not had problems, but the initial failure of the system, expense, terrible customer service, and unwillingness to immediately fix the problem make me wish I had just gone with aquaguard.

Phillip Madden, the owner of the company, came out I believe, the night that we called. He came on time, took a look at the basement and talked to me and my husband. He explained what the problem was and what his company could do. He left us with some literature and sent us a quote the next day. The work included tearing out the walls and installing drainpipes and a sump pump. We would consider using them in the future.

    B-Dry Waterproofing and Foundation Repair
B-Dry arrived when they said they would and went right to the flooded basement after making an examination of the ouside of the house and surrounded topography. As a eresult of their examination, they determined I had no problem with outside water entering the house. They said the problem was something other than their services could help. They did not try to "sell" me on anything I did not need.
