    Sherrill Paint & Body Co.
My vehicle was rear-ended.  The other insurance company sent a check to me.  I told Sherrill P&B exactly what I wanted them to do (and what I didn't need fixed).  They did exactly what I asked, and the work was great.  Sherrill P&B told me it would take 6-7 days for them to complete the work.  They were finished in 3 days.  3 weeks after I got my truck back from Sherrill P&B, they called and said they had overcharged me and had a check for $150.  So, integrity, honesty, responsiveness, and quality of work are reasons I would recommend these folks to anyone.

    Intermountain Radiator & Muffler
I had my car towed to Intermountain after my radiator froze sitting in the parking lot of the Denver International Airport.  At my last oil change (PEP Boys) I believe the guy that changed my oil added water instead of antifreeze to my radiator.  In any case, after 4 days at the airport, the radiator hoses were frozen solid.  I cranked the car when I got to the parking lot, but noticed it wasn't running smoothly.  I immediately shut the car off and popped the hood.  That is when I discovered the frozen hoses.
After a quick search on Angie's list (I'm new to Denver) I came across Intermountain.  They only had one review, but it was the best radiator shop I could find in the near vacinity.  I had the car towed to Intermountain.
Intermountain did and excellent job checking out my car.  They put a heater on it over the weekend to thaw it out.  Then ran pressure tests to determine if there were any leaks/cracks in the coolant system.  They also checked for damage to the water pump or thermostat.  Everything checked out.
In addition to that work, Intermountain noticed and old code in my computer for an occasional misfire on one cylinder.  Intermountain had an engine mechanic check it out, who did not find anything serious.  Intermountain didn't even charge me for this work.
I had an excellent experience at Intermountain and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone else for radiator or exhaust work.

    AAMCO Transmissions
I am very satisfied with the service I received from Bourke Thomas and his staff at the Birmingham AAMCO. He provided continuous communication all along the way. The work was done as promised, on time, at the price quoted. They actually replaced all four engine mounts at the price quoted for only replacing two since at initial inspection it was thought only two needed to be replaced.
This was the first time I used this AAMCO and I will be back in the future when my cars need service. I believe I was treated fairly and honestly.

    Gardendale Wholesale Transmission
So professional and courteous. Had my minivan towed to their shop and they were able to have it ready before lunch the following day. We were expecting a major transmission repair and were so pleased that the issue was a only a sensor. Very honest and straightforward about the needed repair. Highly recommend!

    TIRE ENGINEERS INC
The experience was excellent. We arrived at the provider's location with no appointment - we noticed 2 flat tires and drove directly there. The provider was extremely busy that day, but treated us as if we were VIPs. Because the provider could not look at the car immediately, the assistant store manager made arrangements for us to be driven home so we didn't have to wait at provider's location (at no charge).
The provider assessed our situation - two flat tires. The provider
looked at the problem, identified the universe of potential solutions,
and called me to discuss them. The best solution was to patch the two
tires, which is what the provider did. The price was much less than I
    thought.

    Estes Warehouse Tires
I first sent in a quote request via the internet on a Sunday (they were closed) received a response Monday. Called them to clarify and confirm. My mother in-law took in the truck and reported that everything went well and that the Estes staff was very helpful and professional. This means a lot coming from her as she is not easily pleased.

    AUTO ZONE
Good service.  I found what I thought would work and a very helpful clerk walked me out to the truck to check and measure before I purchased.  Mats fit perfectly.
I also understand that AutoZone will read your computer diagnostic board to determine what is causing the check engine light.

    O'REILLY AUTO PARTS
The problem was with the ERG valve, exact problem not disclosed in the code.  I decided not to try to replace the part myself, but I was able to determine that repairs were not required immediately.  I eventually had my normal mechanic do the repair.

    LEE-RODGERS TIRE CO
I had a very slow leaking tire that had gone flat a couple of times, and assumed it had been damaged by driving to and from work every day over a stretch of highway that was being resurfaced. It wouldn't be the first time that happened. As a newbie to Birmingham, I didn't want to drive too far out of my comfort zone - especially risking a flat. So, after checking to see if they had my (not inexpensive!) Michelin tires in stock, I took it over to Lee-Rodgers because they were just down the street from my office and they'd gotten a couple of good reviews here.
Well, 1/2 hour later I got a call from them, and they explained that the culprit was a faulty tire valve stem cap - it had somehow been causing my tire to gradually deflate over several days. They replaced all of the caps and refused to take a dime for their trouble to test the tire and the parts. So this is my way of giving them a shout out for great service and fair dealing!
I was fully prepared to shell out over $150 for a brand-new tire, and they knew it. As any single female dealing with a car repair will agree, we know how that scenario generally plays out. But happily, not in this case! One of the other reviewers here noted that their prices may not be the absolute lowest in town, but these guys have earned my business for life because they were honest and didn't take advantage of someone that assumed they needed a new tire.

    Sherrill Paint & Body Co.
It went very well. They gave me a loaner while the work was being done. The repair was finished in a timely manner, and very well done. I would recommend Sherril's to anyone who needs good body work at a fair price.
