    Wolf, Dr. Robert S.
This Doctor is wound tight, super stressed. He was rude and out of touch with my pain. He refused to prescribe pain meds and when I said thats a failure to treat your patient he agreed (after I asked) to schedule a 2nd pain block at Brookwood. After a week (still in pain) I had not received a call for the appointment so I called Brookwood. Brookwoods pain clinic (independent of the hospital) refused treatment and said it was based on something Dr Wolf called and told them. Im guessing he didnt like the failure to treat statement. This doctor came across as having the god syndrome attitude. Based on my experience, Dr Wolf doesnt have the ability to evaluate pain and will not prescribe pain meds citing the opioid crisis. Why a doctor would prevent a patient in excruciating pain from getting a spinal block at a pain management clinic is ridiculous. Based on Brookwoods comments, it appears he basically blocked me from getting the treatment I needed. He refused to treat me and failed to refer me to another doctor for help. Ive not been able to work for almost two months due to pain. Im a middle class single mom with a job and family. He lacks empathy and is lacking in judgment. In addition, his office staff (three nurses) laughed as I was leaving the office in excruciating pain. I do not recommend this group to you even if youre dying and no other doctors exist. Worst medical experience of my life. Worst, worst, worst experience ever. This is my opinion and feedback based on how I was treated. Ill never go back to this office .... NEVER!! Ive since seen another ortho, another pain management group, had spinal injections, been prescribed pain meds, doing PT 2-3 times a week and seeing a chiropractor.

    Ivey, Dr. Martha
I went several times to her almost biweekly and at first i was feeling good after the treatments. But then - when i would get there, she would immediately ask for payment, and then complain about me using a debit card. It just seemed unprofessional and weird.

    Alabama Orthopaedic Center
After having rotator-cup surgery some 6-7 weeks ago, and then being in an auto accident that injured the same shoulder, visits were necessary to verify that the surgery was not impacted and that healing was progressing. This practice is the greatest! Terrific doctors and support staff!

    Walbert, Dr. Margot
I like her attention to individual needs versus a universal approach. I think that it is well worth the visit. My health has improved significantly. She listens well. The staff is courteous. She has great hours. It is easy to get an appointment. I would use her again in the future.

    Taylor, Dr. Flannagan
Dr. Flanagan has a casual manner, but has always provided effective treatment, and appears less inclined to provide every imaginable service to increase his billable, despite my good insurance coverage for chiropractic. His Homewood location is convenient for me, and the accommodation of last minute appointments for adjustments is appreciated.

My son separated his shoulder skiing Jan. 2011. we were advised to wait it out at that time because most separated shoulders heal on their own with no complications. After waiting it out Jan.-Nov. and still in pain, we went to Dr. Wolf at Alabama Orthopedic. He was referred by someone we know who works at the hospital with the Orthopedic Dr.'s at Brookwood Hospital. Surgery was recommended. All staff at the office and hospital were great and we could not be more pleased with the communication and professionalism. My son is in his 4th week after surgery and it has not been an easy recovery, but he is making progress every day. I feel we had the best of care and would recommend Dr. Wolf for shoulder surgery. The procedure was called the Weaver Dunn. You can look it up on you tube. Please do you homework before any surgery. This was not an easy decision for us. We had been to other Dr.'s in Bham area and found that many have" fellows" that are actually doing the surgery when you think it is the Big name doctor. If you don't ask questions, they are not going to volunteer this information. Alabama Orthopedic does not run that way. The Dr. you talk to in the office is the Dr. that preforms the surgery.

I would recommend them. She is a highly skilled and professional LMT (Licensed Massage Therapist). I feel very comfortable with her. These were the things that I had been looking out for a long time and she is very good. I have not had too much trouble in getting an appointment within less than a week away and so, availability has been very good. The office environment is serene and it is one of the most impressive services. Her punctuality is hundred percent when I have an appointment. The receptionist is very kind and she offers me a cup of tea when I walk in. The staff is very friendly. I keep going back. The billing and administration is very simple and nice. There is really nothing complicated there as you just pay and leave.

Each visit is excellent overall -- in every way.  I've been to many massage therapists over the years.  From time to time, e.g., when a coupon becomes available, I "cheat' on" Sheila and go to someone else.  But, no one can surpass her and few match her.

    Murphree Chiropractic
I have been going to Dr. Murphree for many years now with a continuous chronic back problem. He always makes time to see me, knowing that I depend on him to keep me going. If warranted, he will refer me to a neurologist or orthopedic doctor to have certain things checked out and I appreciate this about him. Dr. Murphree is a board certified nutritionist and has written a nutritional guide for physicians. People from all over the world seek him out for advice. He has written five books, one of which is about heart disease. It is very interesting, cutting edge, helpful, and to me, something everyone should read whether they have heart disease or want to prevent it. He's also written books about treating depression and chronic fatigue. I highly recommend Dr. Murphree. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Sometimes I wish he saw patients more often than he does but I understand the importance of his telephone conferences and teaching. I have had phone conferences with him and gained useful knowledge. He's a genuinely caring man, interested in the whole person.

    Witt, Dr. Ellen
Dr. Witt was able to see me the very next day. I was in pain and thought I would have to be operated on. After 3 sessions, I was well on my way to being pain-free. She also gave me exercises to do at home that helped also.
