DAJ’s Seasonal Lawn agreed to do perform the following services on my rental property: 1. Trim 6 shrubs 2. Remove weeds form 2 flower beds 3. Install weed barrier in 2 flower beds 4. Plant 5 new shrubs 5. Sperate lawn and one bed with a shallow trench 6. Apply bark in 3 beds 7. Remove white rock from side of house 8. Plant pansies in 2 beds AJ’s quoted a cost of $925. I asked for, but was not given, a written quote. The work was done on 10/25/20. AJ’s presented me an invoice for $1,150 on 10/26/20.There was no mention of, nor agreement to, add $225 to the original cost. I disputed the cost but paid it. I inspected the work on 11/13/20. Some work was not done, or needs to be redone: 1. Remove bark and barrier 2. Spray/remove weeds 3. Properly install heavy duty barrier 4. Put bark back in beds 5. Make a trench to separate a bed from the lawn 6. Plant pansies in two beds 7. Retrim 2 shrubs 8. Put bark in bed by curb 9. Remove white rocks In my opinion, AJ’s owes me a refund for the $225 overcharge and a refund for a reasonable amount to have another company redo the work AJ’s was hired to in a workmanship manner that reflects the experience he claimed.

DGuy showed up. He had no ladder to get into my attic, so I supplied one. He wandered around inside and out and then told me they would have to use metal flashing throughout to seal up any place mice could enter...at a cost of close to $4,000. He offered no written estimate (despite the supposed precision of the estimate which was down to the penny.) He seemed to think there was a gap between the roof and the top plate of the walls all the way around of 3 to 4 inches. He said that was the way they built houses back when our house was built. I guess he thought I was stupid and didn't know anything about construction. He was wrong.

We work in the greater Birmingham area including Shelby, St. Clair, and Blount counties. We provide residential landscaping exclusively, and we do not contract with anyone other than the home owner.

He was thorough in his vision and although we ultimately went in another direction, his professionalism and attention to detail was reflected in his bid and advice that he provided. DI gave them several chances and I must say that I had to call customer service more times than I ever called my lawn service in the last 14 years of living in my home. All I asked was that the grass in the back would be bagged with a walking mower. The first time they did not have that type of mower and said they would come back. It took a day or two. This has happened several times since and one time it was a week before they showed up. I live in a gated community and they asked to be admitted. My son told guard to admit them. They never showed and did not cut the grass. However, my bank account was charged for the service we did not receive. By the time they came back to cut my grass it was 4 weeks and my grass was ankle deep. The next time they came was the same story. They did not have a bag mower and said they would be back the next day. I did not see them until a week had passed. Today, they did not have a walk mower with a bag. Before I could get outside they had cut my back yard with a mower and no bag. My gate hinges had come loose so I had used bungees to hold it in place. I went and check the gate after they left and they had cut 3 of them in half. I called to cancel service, but they did not answer any of their lines. I did not even get an answering system. The only thing I got was music for a long time. Beware if you plan to use this company. They are very unprofessional. They do not have enough equipment for each truck to have the equipment to manicure a lawn. The first time they said that the owner had the lawn mover with the bag. Don't put up with them for 2+ months thinking they would get better. It only got worse. I have pictures, but do not know how to download them.
