"They had a lot of different brands of flooring available to look at and we found one that we liked. It was on sale which made it even better. The only thing we" did not like was that we were told the flooring had to be ordered but it was in stock and would be delivered the next week. It was closer to three weeks before we actually received the flooring. We had taken everything out of the kitchen, torn up the old floor and had our son in law available to do the flooring the next week because we were told we would have the flooring then. If we had known it was going to be three weeks before it came in we would have waited to tear our kitchen apart and our son in law could have done another job while he was waiting for our flooring.

"I really dislike writing a negative review. I tend to think the best of people and businesses, but I feel that I should share my experience, so that others don't" get stuck wasting time. Here's what happened: I contacted them (and a few other companies) through Angie's list in early
. I was hoping to have flooring work done in late August. They scheduled a guy to come out and evaluate our space and work within a few days of my e-mail. The guy came and he was great! He actually told us that they could do far more than what we thought they could and that they would be able to tile our backsplash and install baseboards throughout our house in addition to re-doing our floors in two rooms. We were very excited, because having one team do everything would have been great. The guy left and promised a quote in a few days. A week went by and we didn't get anything, so we called. The person who answered the phone was apologetic and said someone would get back to us. No one got back to us. Another week went by and we called again -- same story, "we're so sorry, we'll get that to you right away." Then another two weeks went by and we didn't hear anything, so we called yet again. I e-mailed through angle's list again at the end of August and received an apologetic e-mail and was told I'd hear back by the end of the day, which I didn't. I've sent two more e-mails asking about the status of the quote and now no one is replying. At this point we will probably just go with multiple contractors to complete our different tasks. I'm really disappointed, because we loved the guy who did the evaluation and were very ready to go with Knight's given that we thought they could really do a lot for us. I write this review to say that I think they are probably too busy to handle their client load and if you are considering new floors I would skip them.

How to Choose the Right Carpet for Your Home

One highly rated provider shares important considerations homeowners should make when choosing the carpet for various rooms in their home.

Carpet and rugs

Wood or tile floors are good in some rooms, but most homeowners prefer to install carpeting in living rooms and family rooms, especially when children are small. Here are tips on the types of carpeting available and how to pick the right one for your home.

If you're looking for eco-friendly flooring, research the composition of the flooring, as well as the adhesives and glues.

Most  reputable carpet stores should be able to help you, they know what is available. and should be able to find a good carpet for a good price. sometlmes they will buy overruns that are a good value. Also,   make sure they do use a power-streacher when they install the carpet! Pat All Carpet Repair

Carpet with pad purchase cost $10-20 for really economy cheap stuff, $20-30 for normal brands, and $30-50/SY (square yard) for high-end carpet, to $100 or more for custom or gold thread and such.

Installation cost does not change much depending on what varpet is installed - generally about $10-20/SY.

So, for normal medium-range carpet I would assume $30-50/SY.

1 Square yard = 9 Square feet

patched carpet that had been destroyed by dogs, and he stretched
carpet in another room. He was timely, professional and pleasant. I was
very happy with his services.

I first approached
Harvest Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
Carpeting in May of this year. I was concerned about carpeting purchased 4 years ago from them that i believed was defective. The first salesman/ customer service person i worked was very non responsive and nothing happened for 2 - 3 months. He always said he was going to check on something and submit a claim etc. I always had to call him back to find out and it was always the same story. I finally was able to speak with
Harvest Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
the manager at the
Harvest Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
Bellevue store.
He listened to my concerns about the carpeting and started the process of a carpet inspector. The issue with the Smartstrand carpeting was that from the beginning thread strands had been pulling out of the carpet. Also i was unable to get certain stains out.
Eventually there were large patches where strands of carpeting had come out. This is after only 4 years. Eventually a carpet inspector did come out and as i expected the claim was denied by the manufacture due to cats. There are numerous claims on the internet review sites about many people having issues with threads pulling out of the carpet. It seems claims like mine are denied by the manufacturer. There are many reviews in the internet about customers seeing carpet strands pulled out by the vaccuum cleaner. None of this is disclosed as being an issue when you purchase this carpet. And as I recall when i first purchased this carpet it was advertised as being a good one if you have kids and pets. My family has had cats for 50+ years and we have had a carpet in every house. Not once in all those years with all those cats and all that carpeting did any carpet ever fall apart due to cats. So be careful of pets if you buy this carpet and be careful of the vacuum cleaner you use because none of this is disclosed when you purchase the carpet and it seems the manufacturer may not honor the warranty.
So here is where

at the Bellevue

carpeting came in. After the manufacturer expected denial of the warranty

stepped in and replaced my carpeting. Carpet, pad and installation.
He not only replaced the carpeting but he was courteous and kind treated me with respect and was very understanding. The carpet is beautiful i just need to make sure my vaccum cleaner is recommended for this carpet. So I can highly recommend the Bellevue

and most especially

the manager. If you work with

I was very happy with everything.
Harvest Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
, the owner, came to my home to discuss and help me pick carpets. He quickly had samples sent for those he didn't have. The estimate was very reasonable especially since he had to move a few big and valuable pieces of furniture. He and his crew, who were all nice, came promptly and worked hard. It has been 4 months and everything looks great. I highly recommend this company.
- Barbara L.

They helped us find the warehouse carpet and came to install the next week. I liked how quick they were and that the quote matched the price. Installers even brought a vaccum to clean up after. The price was about the same as Lowes but the quality of the carpet was much higher.

Out of the 3 contractors we interviewed, Carpet

price quote came in 2nd. However, I chose them because
Harvest Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
(the owner) gave me couple of suggestions for underlayment. One of them was the 'memory foam" for comfort, moisture control and sound insulation. I'm glad i went with it, it feels awesome to step on. The sound insulation is not perfect, but not bad since its an old house.

's team finished the job in 1 day, cleaned up after themselves. Now my floor looks great. Thank you!

The crew showed up and "

Buyer beware this business does not honor its coupons. After a few trips to the store and bringing samples home we chose our carpet and wood flooring. The owner came out and measured and later that day called with the estimate - approx $5,500. I mentioned I had coupons from Angies list for $100 each off carpet and wood flooring. I was told they would honor the wood coupon but NOT the carpet coupon. This was due to the manufacturer
Harvest Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
also offering $100 off carpet that came out of his profit. Is that my problem? Not very professional. Is that a reason not to honor a coupon on Angies list? Then I was told we couldn't use a credit card as the bank fee also affected their profit. We found the exact same carpet and wood flooring elsewhere for $100 less and they take credit cards which helps our double airline miles!! If you have any coupons or want to use a credit card mention it first so you don't waste a lot of your time.

Contractor submitted a bid for installing the flooring which included the costs of all materials except the actual laminate. No mention of a separate charge was stated prior to the installation. I was surprised after the installation with the comment that I could pay for the flooring through him or directly through the distributor. An additional cost of several hundred dollars not in my budget. I was shocked as a previous contractor installed the same flooring under the same conditions in another room of the house for the price in the original quote but his included the cost of the laminate. Had I known his did not include the laminate I would have gone with the more reasonable bid of a different contractor.
The contractor had apprentice working with him who cut the laminate. Either through an error by the contractor in the measuring or the apprentice in the cutting, it was necessary to have a seam running the entire length of the room about two feet from the wall. He was not going to seal the seam until I asked him about it. He then smeared some type of sealant about the width of a finger along the seam and left it to dry. It is still shiny and noticeable in any light. It looks like clear nail polish was poured along the seam.
This was by far the worst experience with a contractor that I have ever experienced since purchasing my home.
