    PhysioWorks, Sports and Wellness, Inc.
If you are looking for a physical therapist that is patient, knowledgeable, and will get you back to where you want to be, there is no better place in town than Physioworks. I have recommended every injured friend in Huntsville to him and will continue to do so. His practice model has made a few friends hesitant because he is “out-of-network,” but I will add to the many people who have already said that by doing my exercises at home and being seen less often, I have saved hundreds of dollars in health care costs as compared to a traditional, in-network physical therapist.

I have to go back to Sportsmed about 1 or 2 times a year if I happen to re-injure my shoulder and they have always been spot-on with their treatment. I should mention I was in pain for 3 months due to a bad diagnosis from a local "Orthopedic Center". Sportsmed is the best in Huntsville at what they do, I cannot speak to the podaitry portion but I have used them for several things over the years from "tennis" elbow to torn muscles, it does not get any better. Sometimes they cannot see people as fast as they wish (hence my bad experience with the Orthopedic Center) but I learned the hard way, the best is worth waiting on and long term it is better for you.

I had a labral tear in my left hip. I saw Dr. Franklin several times, as I had lots of questions and was very hesitant whether I should take the risks involved in this surgery or not. Dr. Franklin always patiently answered all my questions. After I decided to have the surgery, he repaired the tear and cleaned up the mess that was causing me so much pain that any kind of exercise or extended walking was impossible. Recovery was slow and not a lot of fun, but six months after the surgery I was definitely glad that I had had it done. Now, 9 months after surgery, I'm back at power walking, yoga, and martial arts (with restrictions). While the hip is not good as new (which was not to be expected and was not promised), I am doing great. Dr. Franklin obviously did a great job and I'm very glad that we have him here in Huntsville/Madison!

    Daley, Dr. Daniel
My most recent appointment with Dr. Daley was as usual: very professional and caring. My wait time was minimal. The therapy I received was effective and as usual I will be returning on a regular basis.

    Layton, Dr. Troy A
He was very clear about that and the options. And he was very conservative in his diagnosis. The experience was outstanding and the instructions clear. I followed the instructions and the recovery was excellent. Recommend him highly.

SportsMed Orthopaedic Surgery & Spine Center
They are awesome. They work with a lot of young people and also the elderly. My father in law had to have a foot surgery, a new knee and he also had a hip surgery done. He had it all done through them. They came out to his house for after care for one of his surgery because he had to do orthopedic exercises at home so that he could walk on that knee. Those doctors are amazing. There were a couple of bills that I missed when I was taking my son back and forth for his weekly appointment and they were nice about it. Their billing department was very casual and they were not pushy at all.

    Moore, Dr. Jack W.
He put it in a splint to protect it, but told me to take it off when alone and bend it so it would not be stiff. It is fine now.

Front staff is wonderful! Always easy to talk to and go's out of their way to help. Minimal wait time in the lobby. Was being called back as I checked in :) Nurse was friendly and put my daughter as ease. Dr. followed shortly and visit went great. Check out was simple. Entire visit less than an hr. Can't beat that a most offices! Highly recommend :)

I will never go back to them. I saw two different doctors there. They told me that I had no problem and that it was just in my head. I went there and they were supposed to have my records and they didn't have it; all that they had was just the doctor's notes. The last person I saw was Dr. Hall Becker. He told me that he would write physical therapy for me if I wanted to take it up; there was need to go through that. First time I saw Dr. Murray who was probably a good doctor. I saw him the most probably four or five times. He took care of the symptoms but not the problem. The problem I had was more in the knee. He put away the pain but I still have the knee pain. Then I saw knee doctor. I saw him three times and it was really horrible. I would not use them in the future.

As the name suggests, the clinic seems specially geared towards sports medicine. One specific example was when I contracted the flu with pneumonia. As usual I was able to get in very quick, but this time I was brought in the back way as those suspected of having the flu typically are, especially during flu season. However, when I was in the clinic, with fever, I was treated very dismissively and the flu test was performed around the rim of my nostril as opposed to the normal deep sinus nose swab. Naturally the test came back negative and I endured a long weekend of misery until I went to a walk in clinic. There, the test was performed correctly, I got blood work and was examined closely. I had flu-b but it was too late for flu meds, whether they would of worked or not, I would liked to have tried them from the start at least. I've been in the clinic with sports related injuries before and after this case and have received a great deal more attention and time. The clinic is very good for injuries, not so much for general medicine.
