Outstanding. Sam Price provided excellent customer service, and he worked extremely hard to find the right coverage for me at the right price.

We always have a good experience with Geico. Very friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to quote me over the phone.

    ALFA INSURANCE
It's a local insurance company in Alabama and not national.  My family members live out of Alabama so they can't use Alfa insurance.  The other insurance company dropped coverage about a year ago and I had to take up auto insurance through Alfa.  I pay semi-annually.  I would never ever buy insurance from the other insurance company again.  Alfa insurance is very, very nice.

    BLUE CROSS & BLUE SHIELD
I used to work for them and I used to think they were great. When I was teaching they had better plans then. Knowing the company from the inside and seeing what they have to do and all the clients they are good. And since my husband had to see two doctors' offices in two hospitals in one day I would say they are good. It seems that I have a good plan. Frankly after my husband went through cancer so many bills were involved that they did a great job of co-relating his coverage and we had no problem getting things that we needed. So I would say they were good. Their service is good and it is like we don't have a lot of choices but I wouldn't change. The quality of the insurance is great. I thought they were responsive. They do things in a timely manner.

    STATE FARM INSURANCE
I had a slight accident and they helped me find a place to have the repair done even though it was less than my deductible. They also helped me find a dent repair shop for some hail damage even though I did not make that claim either.

    Tricare
This is insurance coverage for the US military dependents. They offer multiple types of Tricare and Tricare standard is the only one that you DONT have to get referrals or authorizations. I love this. The only problem is in odd states that don't see it much they still try to make you get a referral even if you tell them you don't need one and sometimes even insist that you have to get a referral....that is very aggravating. I have only had this problem in one state though....Indiana. You have to pay 20% but you never have to get a referral. I can just call up a podiatrist and get an appointment without having to have a primary care doctor see me first and go thru all of that aggrivation. I don't even have a primary care dr because I don't need one.

The one thing I have had problems with was one of my children had to be treated for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It required an inpatient stay in a rehabilitation facility. PTSD is not widely treated and the best facility in this part of the country is in Florida. BCBS will only pay for rehabilitation services with approved providers in state. The normal treatment time for PTSD is 90 to 180 days inpatient and 90 days in a supervised living facility. BCBS will only pay for 30 days inpatient. My out of pocket expense was nearly $100,000.

These are fairly small policies, and I've always been very pleased with this agent's entire office staff. He is very pleasant, but his whole staff is knowledgable and know me by name. I would highly recommend them.

No problems. I paid my co-pay at the Dr.'s office and they filed the paperwork. I later got a statement indicating a zero balance.

BC/BS does cover quite a few services, depending on your plan. However, they are quick to deny medications. Even after two doctors felt a medication was the best choice they were not willing to pay for it. I appreciate that some medications are terribly expensive, but when other options have been exhausted and multiple doctors agree its frustrating to be held up by red tape at an insurance company.
