    First person they sent out was clueless. The excuse I received was new in the ac field . He said all the mechanics were fine. The second person that came out diagnosed then problem correctly. How can someone not realize the compressor not working?

    They came out directly and isolated the problem, a leak in the evaporator coil. They gave me a quote to replace the coil. They also gave me a quote to replace the entire system which was much lower than a quote I had received from another company. They replaced evaporator coil and the system is working fine now. Their work was done with the utmost courtesy and professionalism. - a good experience, a pleasure to do business with this company.

    Their service person came out directly and filled it with R22 freon; he said there was a significant freon loss. After he filled it, he did a visual inspection of the evaporator coil. He said sometimes leaks produced oil that could be seen, but nothing was apparent, just normal condensation. This was not the correct course of action for a gross leak like this. By the next day all the freon had leaked into the house and the AC was dead again. When I called Tipton they told me the entire system had to be replaced: the outside compressor unit and the inside unit, including the furnace. They quoted me $5100. I said I was looking for a less expensive solution; they said they didn't have one. Then I requested that we negotiate the $365 bill for the failed repair effort ($95 for the service call and $270 for the freon). I said I would meet them half way. The person on the phone said she would knock off $65 to make it an even $300. I repeated that I thought half way would be fair, given that their effort was entirely unsuccessful. She said she would talk to her boss. The next morning she called back and said they had changed their mind, they would not negotiate the bill at all. I said fine, I would pay the entire $365 and review their company on line. I called another company that isolated the leak immediately using an electronic sniffer. They replaced the evaporator coil for a total cost below $1600. Now it's running fine. My system is 18 years old; I'm sure other parts will give out sooner or later, but I fault Tipton for being unhelpful, less than forthcoming regarding my options for repair, and demanding full payment for a misguided repair effort that they should have known wouldn���t last a day.

    A representative showed up on-time and was informative about the issues he found and what steps he needed to take to fix them.��The pricing was a higher than I would have anticipated for the repairs beyond the "deal" ($195.00).

    They promised that they would make it work and they did.  Scheduling worked out well.  There was an installation feature that they weren't familiar with.  It took them 3 or 4 visits to get it right but its now working.  We didn't have heat for a couple of weeks.

    Overall it went good. The very delayed initial communication, cancelled appointments by the company, and late arrival were unsatisfactory. The professionalism of our sales guy was great, as well as the price for what we received. After all was said and done, we would probably use this company again.

    they did a complete ck on the system which is preety big is a 3500Sq home so I have several untis in a three level home. than they did all the vent cleaning. they were sharp and proffesional. would highly recomend them. I have never had duc work before so I don't really know if 1600 is alot but it took 2 guys and it took all day.
