CWindow World IncWe are getting estimate now. However, we wanted an estimate on replacement of front door and to cover windows on side of door. We were told 12 weeks until work could begin. And, to cover the two side windows on the side of the front door, we were going to have to buy $1,000 of fiberglass even though we only need a very small amount due to the fact Windows World did not need it; but, we don’t need it either. I would have assumed this company would have extra Fiberglas on hand since they use the material for jobs??? So, the font door is out. We are waiting on an estimate for replacing a window. We were told the back four replacement would be around $800-$1,000; is this reasonable?- Terry W.

FThe Gutter ManThe hardwood flooring was not installed according to manufacturing specs, though he assured me it would be the day before they started the job. It started deforming the very next week!!!! Part of that job was to build a firewood box next to my fireplace........never happened. My new kitchen cabinets are still spread out between my kitchen and living room. After many calls and just as many text messages, very few of which he answered, the promises and lies kept building. I know better, but I gave him partial payment up front. The last I heard from him, he was going to put a refund cashiers check in the mail to me that afternoon. NOTHING. I tried small claims court. He never showed up. I tried to attach a lien on anything he owns. He owns nothing. He rents, doesn't own a vehicle or equipment. He is scum.- nancy t.

FMac Handy ConstructionThis job was awful from start to finish!! I paid 1/3 up front and he ended up spending that on something other than my materials. I ended having to go buy the rest of the materials so he could finish the job. He wouldn't show up until 11 and then leave at 3. I think one day he worked until 6. Some days he just didn't show up at all and didn't let me know. He would hardly get any work done and then ask for more money. His work is below average at best. He left the job and it truly isn't finished yet. The sanding that was done on the drywall never completed. He argued over doing things that we agreed on. When I told him this he just cussed me out and threatened to come out and rip up the work he had done. Wouldn't recommend him for any work.- jay w.

AFolkers Window CoWe had Folker's install our new windows, vinyl siding around top part of house, install new doors, and also new shutters on our home. We were kept up-to-date of installation dates through phone calls and emails, also received emails on delay issues. We had two very polite and experienced workers from Folkers install our product and they did an excellent job. They always made sure that everything was cleaned up before they left each day, it took 5 days to get it all done. They also was very nice about my picky things. The sales rep did a good job explaining everything and was always a call away to answer questions or if I emailed him he responded quickly. I had an issue with my doors and the matter was resolved very quickly and taking care of with no hesitation. I highly recommend Folkers to anyone needing new windows, doors, vinyl siding, shutters.- Virginia J.

ALarry did a great job at an exceptionally good price. I needed my vinyl repaired on my chimney due to storm damage and he was able to hunt down matching siding (20+ years old) and did an exceptional job in a short time. Yes, I would definitely hire him for repairs around the house as well as the siding.

DThe Smart Home features they installed, such as thermostat and door locks, etc. do not always work. For example, the Honeywell thermostat can no longer be operated from our phones and is difficult to install. Remote door locks are also unpredictable.
