    Choice Home Warranty
I live on a very fixed income. CHOICE HOME WARRANTY provides a senior citizen discount and great savings by purchasing a three-year plan. This plan can move with the homeowners or transfer to a family member. My concerns were for my ten-year old homes’ daily working “parts”. Ryan Naley helped me sort through the possibilities of occurrences in the future., and how to get services if needed. I hung up the phone assured I had made the right CHOICE for whatever comes up...

    Anytime Plumbing
(First of all, the phone and email for Anytime Plumbing should be corrected. I had no way to looking them and i'm NOT going to not leave a recommendation for the want of stupid info.) Anwyway... Robert and Cornelius did and outstanding job and left no stone unturned in trying to find out why our sewer backed up. They even dug up the driveway and found that the city had blown a hole in our sewer pipe while replaing the gas line. They were professional and explained evreything. I would HIGHLY recommend.

    Kimmons Plumbing Inc.
In 2011 I had to have my house replumbed from poly-b to PEX. After estimates and having seen BLAB TV and reviews I hired Kimmons Plumbing. They did a great job. Since then, have had leaky fixtures in bathtub repaired. Since it was just a few washers they didn't charge for parts. A car ran over my outside shutoff valve and caused it to start leaking above ground. Jeremy from Kimmons repaired it and put an easier lever type shut off handle in. A few years ago he also replaced my hot water heater. Recently, Aug. 2019 Jeremy and Bre helped troubleshoot and diagnose a serious problem with my sewer lines. While here doing that job I had him look at the plumbing a contractor did in my kitchen re-model in a 1973 house I recently bought. This contractor had high marks and rave reviews on multiple web sites. How I don't know. I trusted those reviews so I trusted the contractor. I should have been suspicious when he gave an estimate and when I agreed, just started the job with no formal contract. Also no permits were pulled therefore no inspections. He is not a licensed plumber. That was obvious by the tangled mess under my kitchen sink and a code violation Jeremy spotted immediately. I thought the guy would sub out the plumbing to a licensed plumber. If I knew then what I know now I would not have paid him. I am not naming the contractor because it would just be my word against his. However I learned a valuable and costly lesson. Jeremy and Bre were here on Aug. 15, 2019. I had every shutoff valve in the house replaced with new 1/4 turn valves. All faucets and fixtures in bathtubs replaced with all new stems, valves and handles etc. One toilet had been upgraded to a 1.6 gallon model. The other looked like a much older one but in good condition. I had it pulled, the tank rebuilt inside, and outside seals replaced and the wax seal replaced. These older homes are farther away from the sewer and an older toilet has more water to push the waste further down the line easier. Also, water lines from faucets and toilets replaced with steel braided lines. After doing all of this, Jeremy began the nightmare job under my kitchen sink left by incompetent contractor. When finished, a mish-mash of multiple water lines which were not installed properly, fittings not sweated to the copper lines etc. were gone and a single line coming in for hot and cold water, a single shut off valve for the cold water to the sink, as there already is a new shut off behind the fridge for the ice maker, and a separate shut off for the hot water to the dishwasher that was missing (the code violation). Also, Jeremy cut small sections of sheet rock to access water lines behind wall. When he saw that none of the new fittings that were coming from the copper water lines had been sweated on and then when connecting to the PEX water lines they weren't crimped on he was surprised that they hadn't failed and flooded the kitchen. Jeremy always takes time to answer my questions. For example, I wanted to know why the difference in the types of shut off valves under the bathroom sinks vs. the kitchen because I could get larger handles on the ones in the kitchen. He explained that since all the pipes in the bathrooms were copper and had to be sweated on, that he could only put that type in there. Since the water lines under the kitchen sink had been changed to PEX he could use the other kind (that I asked for) in there. I was going to get an outside shutoff valve installed as well, but when water was turned off at meter water continued to drip from outside faucet when open and in the lines inside as well. Jeremy sucked water out of the line with a shop vac so he could sweat fittings etc. however I had to call ECUA out to replace the shut off valve at the meter because the pipes for the new shutoff valve are glued on and no water can be coming through the line or the glue won't dry. A big shout out to the men from ECUA. It was hot and wet but when they finished there was no more water dripping from the outside faucet. Jeremy and Bre had another job to go to after me believe it or not. It started raining also, so will reschedule the outside shutoff installation. I gave Kimmons an A in price because though they can be higher than some others, you get your money's worth every time. I wanted to give an A in responsiveness but sometimes it can take awhile for Tommy to call back. I know it is because he is in high demand and if an emergency call comes in that can't wait he may call and ask to reschedule your job. I have always told him I am flexible and don't mind waiting for him because they are worth waiting for. Also I always request Jeremy so I have to wait a little longer sometimes:-) So be a little patient and understanding. Kimmons is compassionate and tries to help seniors and others on low fixed incomes get the help they need and can afford. He also is as far as I know the only local plumber to employ a female to go on jobs and do plumbing. Bre is just as good a worker, if not better, than some men I have dealt with. I read the very few negative reviews and it does not sound like the company I have been dealing with for over 8 years. So do this: next plumbing job call several plumbers to get estimates. Ask about pricing; if by the job, what if anything could cause the estimated price to go up and what is included in the price. If by the hour, how much per hour, when does the clock start and if workers stop to go to lunch or have to go get a part that isn't on their truck will they subtract that from the total hours or expect you to pay for it anyway, also when does the clock stop. Some people charge for the time it takes to write up your bill and present it to you rather then when the job is finished. Also ask everybody if they give discounts for seniors and or military every little bit helps. When you find a great mechanic you can trust to fix your car, you go only to them and tell your friends about them too. After my car, the most expensive thing I own is my home. I have found my "house mechanic" when it comes to plumbing. They do great work and I trust them and yes I have referred them to friends.

    Benjamin Franklin Plumbing
Caleb did an outstanding job with our repairs. He even came back the next morning with a part to complete the job. I was a little shocked when they gave me the quote of $945 for the work, but with the maintenance plan, I saved 15% and the $70 service fee. Still high, but realized that this is only done every 5 to 7 years....depending on water quality.

    Service Plus Heating Cooling Plumbing
Service tech was absolutely wonderful. I had a plumber out from a different company previously, paid more and was stuck with the same issue 2 weeks later. This technician put much more effort into his work and did a great job.

I called and left a message asking to schedule an appointment sometime in the next week or so. Glenn called back in less than an hour and said he could come that day. He arrived the same day and fixed the drain with no issues.

EZ-Flow Plumbing & Drain A Div. of Rowe Plumbing and Irrigation LLC
January 20, EZ Flow came to my house to fix a faucet. I told them my toilet was backed up and needed to be snacked from the Roof of my house. I was told OK, I will send a truck back today to fix this problem. On Tuesday the 21, I called to see where they were. Since I had not heard or seen them. They showed up on Thursday to fix the problem. I was told I needed a new $763.43 toilet to fix the problem. He snaked the toilet and a new toilet went in. The Plumber(Philip) had not been gone an hour and it started to backup in the house again. When I called to tell the plumber it was happening again, he asked if I had stuffed it with paper towels. SERIOUSLY!!! Days with no toilet and no help! Now I have toilet that doesn't cover were the old toilet was on the floor and it is stilled stopped up!! I called roto rooter and they came immediately to fix my problem.

EZ-Flow Plumbing & Drain A Div. of Rowe Plumbing and Irrigation LLC
After a recent freeze the pipes in the crawlspace of our house froze and then later cracked in multiple places. My wife and I called EZ Flow after a recommendation online and they had someone out to my house quickly. Wes identified the problem quickly and explained what needed to be done in a way that we understood. He and his team were empathetic, understanding, and a pleasure to work with. They replaced the needed plumbing quickly and without significant loss on the part of my wife and me. Due to our first pleasant experience with EZ Flow we called again 2 weeks later when there was a drainage issue. The experience was again positive and the problem was corrected quickly. We live in an older, historic home and realize the difficulties that come with it from a plumbing standpoint. We are thankful that we called EZ Flow and plan to continue using them when the situation calls for it.
