    Isbell Animal Clinic
The receptionist was sweet, the vet was a heartless monster. We are new in town and tried out this clinic, huge mistake! He was rude, found out our dog, wich is family to us , was sick. He blurted this out like our dog was disposable, in front of my children, left them horribly upset. He twisted around her hips because I was concerned that she had a limp , said nothings wrong with them ,no xray or anything.. she's only 2 years old, he said said she was just going to have to be on steriods from here on out. He hurt her and left her barely able to walk out of there! I just don't understand why he does this for a living. He acts as though he hates animals and their families :(

    PETTY COAT GROOMING & KELDEN
I had used Margie Dunn to groom my wire-haired fox terrier on two occassions. She had been recommended by a friend. She wasn't the caliber groomer that I was accustomed to but she was nearby and it was easy to get a Saturday appointment. My previous groomer only worked Monday through Wednesday and with my own work schedule it was difficult to get my dog to the groomer on the days she worked. However, I will make whatever arrangements are necessary to insure that my dog NEVER goes back to Margie. My husband and I planned a family trip with my daughter, son-n-law and 2 grandchildren who were visiting from Azrizona. I made an appointment 3 weeks in advance to board my wire haired and also my jack russell terrier with Margie. When I arrived at her business location I was greeted with a sign on her door announcing that she was closed until 7/29/2014. She did not even have the decency to telephone me. I thought surely this was a mix up so I called my friend to see if she had another telephone number for Margie. Thank heavens for Facebook. She found a cell phone number which I called and got Margie. At first she tried to deny making the appointment but when I would not back down she apologized for the mix up and said that apparently she had not written it down. She reluctantly sent her mother to meet me at her place of business and said that she would groom my wire haired fox terrier on Sunday morning prior to my scheduled 3 p.m. pick up time. She assured me she was sorry for the mix up and that she would care for my dogs and walk them regularly. I had chosen her because she said the animals would be kept inside. My dogs are not accustomed to staying outside. They are house pets and treated as well as most people treat their children. They are our children! When we arrived on Sunday afternoon to pick up our precious pets we were once again encountered Margie's mother. She informed us that Angie had not made it in yet to groom my dog. There was NO APOLOGY. The placed smelled and there was no air conditioning on in the building! When she went and brought my dog from the back, I wanted to cry. My beautiful dog was filthy. He had been bathed 2 days prior to going to the kennel but you would not have thought it possible. His white fur was matted and YELLOW from being forced to lay in urine. I do not know for a fact but I suspect that my pets were kept the entire 2 days in cages with no other place to relieve themself except for the cage where they were kept. I not only had to bath my dogs but also I had to wash their dog collars because of the strong urine smell. I took their food with them because my wire haired has food allergies and I keep him on Natural Balance (sweet potatoe and fish) dog food. I filled a canister that I knew would be more than enough to feed both dogs. There was less than 1/2 cup used! So not only were my dogs mistreated but they were no fed properly. The jack russell had diahrrea upon returning home. I was visably upset but did not vent my feelings on Margie's mother because it is not her business and I do not hold her responsible. I would have thought that she would have called me to offer an apology but she has not. At no time would I EVER recommend her and my pets will never go there again!!!

    KINGDOM K9 TRAINING
The trainer was cruel to the dog.  He was difficult to work with and made all his clients (it was group sessions) feel that they could not follow his instructions and corrected the dog owner constantly.  He did not remain consistent in his directions and I was constantly frustrated.  My private sessions often were spent with the trainer talking on the phone with potential clients, or talking with someone who was there without an appointment, or with the trainer playing with his or another dog, etc.  Every attempt at working with my dog was met with criticism and correction not matter what.  He would take the controls of the shock collar away from me and shock my dog when he was confused due to the loud excessive barking by the other numerous dogs in cages on all sides of us.  He was cruel to me and to my dog.  He was disrespectful to clients; especially women.  He did not like anyone to question him.  His name is Sydney.  I used the owner of the place to train another dog years ago and liked him a lot.  He name is Joe.  He no longer trains dogs and has Sydney do that now.  I will not use them again.

mY DOG HAD TO STAY THERE FOR 3 DAYS FOR OBSERVATION AFTER HW TREATMENT. WHEN I PICKED HIM UP  HE HAD URINE STAIN 3/4 UP ALL 4 LEGS (HE'S WHITE)  AND ON HIS SIDE WHERE HE HAD TO LAY IN IT AND SMELLED HORRIBLE. HE WAS PUT IN A CAGE TOO SMALL FOR HIM AND NOT TAKEN OUT TO GO TO THE BATHROOM, OTHERWISE HE WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN SOAKED IN URINE, HE' S HOUSETRAINED AND IN 11 YEARS HAS NEVER USED THE BATHROOM INSIDE, OR EVEN ON CEMENT OUTSIDE. HE HAD NO CHOICE. ALSO HE WAS STARVING WHEN I GOT HIM, I'VE NEVER SEEN HIM EAT LIKE THAT GOBBLING HIS FOOD. WHEN I VOICED MY FEELING AND DEEMED IT UNACCEPTABLE, THEY OFFERED TO GIVE HIM A BATH BUT THAT WAS ALL THEY COULD DO. HIM HAVING A BATH WAS NOT THE PROBLEM OR THE POINT. i HAVE BEEN IN THE NURSING FIELD FOR 15 YEARS AND URINE STAIN AND THE OVERWHELMING SMELL OF URINE, ONLY COMES FROM OLD URINE NOT RECENT URINE, IN ANIMALS AND HUMANS. SOMEONE IN THIS FIELD AND THIS POSITION OF TRUST SHOULD NOT THIS NEGLECTFUL AND UNCARING. THIS IS ABUSE!! THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING ME TO GET THIS INFO OUT ABOUT THIS HORRIBLE FACILITY

    Central Valley Animal Hospital
My indoor dog somehow ended up with infected toe nails. The vet staff at Central Valley took great care of her. She had to be sedated so they could trim, drimmel, and laser her nails. She was sent home with several medications and is doing just fine now.

Do make an appointment if you can; Although they take walk ins, if it's something routine they take appointments first. BUT, if you have an emergency, they will get you in first regardless.
Do get there early if you're a walk in; the earlier you get there, usually the less time you will wait.

I dropped her off around 8 or 9 in the morning and she stayed a good part of the day. They do call when they are done, but I would recommend staying somewhat close to the area around pickup time; the first time I went it was New Year's Eve and they were closing early.

We had to go away for a few days and have 3 dogs.  One is very old and we wanted to keep her in her own environment.  We had someone lined up, but due to a family emergency they had to cancel at the last minute.  Mark came to mind and even though he does not have "pet sitting" on his resume, we thought we would ask him.  He said he would be glad to help us out.  We gave him our house key and not only did he check on and feed and play with the dogs, he checked the house to make sure everything was okay there while we were gone.
He kept track of the times he was over each day and he didn't just come in and check, feed and leave.... he stayed with the dogs, scratching bellies, playing ball, feeding dinner and treats and was usually here at the house for at least an hour.
We have absolute trust in Mark and if we need a dog sitter again, we will certainly call him.

    Angies Pet Grooming
It was an absolute pleasure dealing with the staff of Angies. They treated my dog like she was their own. The haircut was exactly as it should be for a schnauzer and Sophie (my dog) was relaxed and calm when I picked her up.

    Angies Pet Grooming
Since moving to Alabama, I had yet to find a groomer that knew how to cut a scottie.   I called Angie's in the hopes that I would find the right fit and I did.  When I called, I was greeted warmly.   They answered each and every question and addressed all my concerns.  Once I got there, even more questions were asked and answered.  They had several dogs there, either being groomed or about to be.  In watching their interaction with the dogs, they obviously are dog people.

When I got my scottie back, she was transformed.  Not only had they listened to me, they cut her right.   They asked me if she was okay and other than cutting the hair a little shorter on her tail, she was perfect.  Marsha took her back and made a couple of quick clips on my scottie's tail and off we went.   She was a proud little dog walking out of Angies.  I have definitely found my grooming salon and will continue to bring not only my scottie, but when our labs need baths, they will come here.
