ATennessee Valley Home Inspections LLCKen was very professional and did a thorough home inspection with extremely thorough report. He divides problems up into categories to make the report easy to read. He is very busy and sometimes took a day or so to respond to questions, but always did so with thorough answers. Ato the rescue mold and mildew solutionsThey were pretty good. I did not have many problems. They could have done the work, but they told me to save some money. They just told me what I could do, and it worked out fine. They were honest. They came when they said they would. Basically, they made pointers and it did not cost a lot of money at all. They even said that if I run into problems that I could not handle that I would call them back and they would come out. I called and asked them, and they were here the next morning. AAMERISPEC HOME INSPECTION SERVICEThis provider was outstanding in every way. I was worried about finding somone I could trust because I am brand new to Alabama. I found him from a list of inspectors given to me by my realitor. I chose him based on my phone conversation with him and 6 other inspectors. His level of professionalism was above anything I had hoped for. He arrived early, had a professional appearance, came prepared for any situation, showed patience when the home owner was late to give him access, and then spent over 5 hours doing the inspection. During the inspection he took every opportunity to point out every detail he thought would be helpful. He did everything he said he would do and more. He took extra time to go over safety issues and to tell me about what to do for the house in case of natural disaster. He showed a vast knowledge of all aspects of the inspection and took a lot of pictures. He is a subject matter expert on the ongoing chinese drywall disaster and can provided an imense amount of information about it to me. He then produced extremely well done inspection reports that were very helpful. I highly recommend if you live in or around Birmingham, AL that you consider him for any inspection needs. I will be using Mr. Russell in the future.- M. J.

AMold and Mildew Solutions llcI contacted this company to inquire about a mostly general, overview type mold inspection of a home, specifically related to attic / crawlspace. Service was courteous and respectful from start to finish. Mr. Ramey arrived very punctual at appointed time. After gathering some information, Mr. Ramey immediatley got to work inspecting and explaining the entire time. Mr. Ramey's service that day went WAY above and beyond what I expected. Mr. Ramey is also very knowledgable and experienced in his field and does a great job of explaining a subject which can seem overhwhelming and daunting at first. His thorough and reasonable explanations can do a lot to put your mind at ease. Mr. Ramey does not act like a salesman, only a professional that gives you the facts. I never felt pressured one way or the other, but he will take the time to listen to you and explain all available options to you and what may be best for your specific situation. Like I said before, I truly felt Mr. Ramey's inspection and advice went above and beyond what would be considered the norm. I felt as though he did not skimp on anything nor did he fail to mention anything else he noticed out of the ordinary during the inspection eventhough a few were beyond the scope of what what he was really getting paid to inspect. I feel as though that is a very ethical and customer-focused way of doing business, as he could have just as well walked by and only mentioned exactly what he was called to do or charge more for extra service. I even used a coupon off of Angie's List for this service and he was happy to accept it. There were no hidden costs or extra charges above what was expected prior to the inspection, only above-average service and advice. Mr. Ramey's service was a great value for the money. Mr. Ramey does not try to sell you on anything but works hard to earn your business if the need arises. I would definitely use this company again and recommend to others.- Derek S.

BNorth Alabama Foundation SolutionsThe company came, inspected, left an estimate. The next week they came back and cleaned pipes, a cast iron sink, windows, bottles, garbage, etc. from under the house. They then sprayed a solution to kill mold on every joist and support. The next day it rained so they came the day after that. They applied 6 MIL black plastic to about 90% of the crawlspace/cellar. They built a cover to an old coal shoot and fixed all the automatic vents around the perimeter of the house. They also fixed an area of the foundation that was compromised due to air conditioning pipes. Norman returned the next week to respray any problem areas again. They say they will return again in 6 months respray if necessary. Note: They will not come work on rainy days if they need to come through your house.- Lori H.

FI'm currently looking for a mold test company to test my parents house. Jason from Mold Test Company called the next day I requested a quote from Angies List. I told him about the possible mold issue as my Mom has been sick on an off. He was extremely pushy and wanted to set up the appoinment the next day, I said I'm still doing my research, that I'm not ready for the step yet, I'll call him if I decide to select his company No need to follow up. Then the next day, he texted me "Call me ASAP, it's about your Mom's health." Since I don't have his number in my address book, this was so completely alarmed. How unprofessional to try to scare me to book an appointment with him. Don't even bother to contact them, if this is how they conduct business!

AFrom the first phone call to request an estimate to the completion it was excellent,. AJ Wiegard gave us a second estimate which was at least $5000.00 less with the most expensive estimate from AFS. AJ continued to go line my line and delete anything that was not needed, but was in the previous estimate. It brought the price down even more. We appreciated that nothing was added that we did not need but could be charged for. It was a 2 day job. It was done in 2 days. Matthew Carey the lead in this project called to let us know that they were going to come early. At the end of the day, he let us know the status of the job and assured us that it would be completed the next day. Matthew, Bryan, Shane all did a great job. Pictures were taken to show us the work. My husband took a look too. The yard was cleaned up and they even removed old "stuff" that was left under the house. A short while later Trevar Akins, Production Manager, showed up at our house shortly after the men all left. He asked to look at the job to see that everything was done correctly. Mr. Akins assured us that everything was done correctly. We really appreciate the attention that AFS gave us in having this job done. Thanks, Donna and Jay.

FI have used American Eagle to move my furniture a couple of times. The 2nd time, 5 pieces of my furniture were significantly damaged; deep scratch marks on a DR table, broken leg on DR chairs, chipped glass on end table top, gouge mark in glass on coffee table top. I did not notice the damages until the moving truck had pulled away. I immediately contacted AE regarding the damage and sent photos to make a claim for repair. No one representing AE contacted me, so I have called 4 times and sent emails, to no avail. No one has come to see my damaged furniture. Their contract says the company has 90 days to respond to claims. I wanted to sell my DR furniture and tables, but can not since they are damaged. This is extremely poor customer service. It's not worth using the $79 online coupon. I do not recommend this company!
