Tried another tree company on Angie's list and no answer. I got lucky and called CHRIS FRANCIS TREE CARE. They immediately answered the phone, and had a certified arborist, giving the cost of his care, or the choice of an experienced tree diagnostician who cost nothing to look at the problem. I knew then we were in good hands. If he was unable to help the tree I had the option of the arborist. But the man who came recognized right away what was wrong and treated it at a very reasonable cost. He was full of information and was able to treat the tree that day. It was a wonderful experience. I know who I will call in the future and recommend them to anyone. Truly excellent experience.

He showed up over a month later leaving his workers on site. He did not do what he said he was going to do. I did not want 4 of the small trees down because I wanted to preserve them for the birds & other wildlife. But I did want 2 trees that we're overhanging my pool down. We renegotiated the price but not by very much. I continually asked if he could come before the day so that we could discuss this without pressure but he never seem to find the time. One afternoon we waited for him to come (as his wife said he would) but he never came. Why all these inconsistencies didn't clue me in I don't know. Except perhaps when I first met him initially to look at the situation & give me a price he came with his daughter & he seemed very likeable & honest. That was my first mistake ... we think people are as they seem & that they will do what they agree to do. But it is never okay in this world to accept a verbal agreement...always, always get a contract... a written signed agreement! His men cut literally a few limbs down that were overhanging the fence. Then they were ready to go. You can imagine my shock! I asked them to call Ray so I could speak to him. When I objected he told me he couldn't cut anything unless it was over hanging my yard side of the fence because it wasn't my property. Of course Ray did not have a survey!!!! This it seems was just an excuse to get on to more jobs & make more $$$ I had already assured him that it was my property that we had moved the fence closer in because a creek ran behind the property. His men tried to be accommodating & if it were not for them we would have paid nothing. They took down one tree & more limbs from one that still hangs over the fence & over the pool. But because they did not have the equipment & were going to throw the tree behind the fence we told them to leave it . We now have to hire someone else to come take it down. We are senior citizens & my husband is a veteran. I held off leaving a bad review & called his wife [she acts as secretary]. I left a vm saying that I did not want to leave a bad review could they please come finish the job or reimburse us some of the money so we could hire some one to finish the job. She said that she would return my call after their cruise. She did not. So 1 1/2 month's later I left another vm. I told her that I didn't want her daughter to ever read anything bad about her father on the internet. I don't know if they have other children this was the only one I met. She came when he came initially. But her..Amy's response was very, very far from professional... it was scathing, filled with much misinformation & sarcasm. She told me that her daughter wasn't did she think I knew that she had a daughter? And that me saying that was disrespectful to her daughter....huh? She texted... go ahead put a bad review it's not going to affect our business at all .. then she added... LOL. I have a lot of respect for business persons who abide by their contracts & do a good job. We've had a lot of work done since we retired here over a year ago. This is a difficult place for people who have limited education to live. There are many jack-of-all-trades so to speak in this area agreeing to do whatever they can to make money even if they're not qualified. We have met & benefited from qualitified workermanship. It is a sad problem that they don't pay enough around here & I guess you have to do a lot of different things to make a living. But I have never before felt the need to leave such a bad review. (See picture) Sorry the pic. Was taken by the pool at night but you can see the tree looking over the pool & over the fence!

    York Tree Service
York did a great job! They were very meticulous with the cleanup. All the services that were promised were delivered. They were very careful not to cause as little damage to my yard as possible. I was very comfortable having their crew on my property. Would highly recommend.

    Wolff Lawn Care
Mr Wolff has provided consistently great service at anything I asked him to do. Recommended things I didn't know about & lately with the Pressure Washing added to his service, I wanted to recommend him to the area. He is honest & never have I been concerned, even when I was gone from my home, with anything to do with my lawn. I would recommend him highly.

    The Lady's Lawn Service, LLC
Pam Pace ("The Lady") worked with us, noted our desires, came up with a plan complete with computer photos of the finished job, scheduled install, showed up on time with crew, finished in one day.  We love it.

    Superior Landscaping
My lawn was in horrible shape.  It was mostly weeds and very little grass.  I am quite a distance from the home base of this company but I had heard great things about them.
I have a dog and I have Multiple Sclerosis and I was concerned about the products they used.  They were very good about explaining what they use and effects on humans/pets.  I was more than satisfied.
They were prompt and I saw results within days.  Their price is a little steep but the results are worth it and not putting my pet and myself at health risk is very important to me.

Both individuals I have dealt with are professional and willing to work with you.
They provide landscaping and weed/feed control.
I will add more information after the application but I expect it will go well.  I think they are a little expensive but I am a little out of their area and they have to drive further, so I guess it makes sense.
After the rain finally stopped, they came and did a complete weed and feed on my front and back yard.  I took my dog out of the house so she would not be exposed.
They were very helpful in telling my son all the necessary information;  how long to stay off the grass, to spray the grass the next day, etc.

My yard was a mess---like a total wreck---all weeds.   I liked the father/son team and I would recommend them.

We are extremely pleased with the work done by Southern Appeal. Frankly, we chose them because they were the only company that came out to give us an estimate, even though we tried two other companies as well. We are very happy we did opt to use Southern Appeal. They were very professional and timely, kept the work site as tidy as possible, were always on time and finished under scheduled time. They installed walking paths along our house from the gates to the various doors. The pavers look great and it is certainly much easier getting in and out of the yard. The front area required some curving of the paths which turned out just beautiful! We also had Southern Appeal install an irrigation system which I am sure will be fabulous, but with all the rain we keep having, it has yet to be turned on. We tacked on some flower beds and tree stump removal, and are very glad we did. We are just now planting in the beds, but certainly enjoy not having to look at ugly stumps around the property, a couple of which insisted on sending up shoots even though they were no longer wanted. I was recuperating from surgery the previous month and the men were all very solicitous and helpful whenever I needed to get in or out, especially while the irrigation trenches were being worked on. They also were very kind to our dog. We kept him inside while the workmen were in the yard, but there were times when we were coming or going that he was barking at them a bit. They never let it bother them, and even helped corral him up the ramp to the door a few times.

    P & E's Pride and Pristine Lawncare
My yard was in need of some TLC! Called late on Saturday afternoon. I discussed what I was needing and Pat said he would come by on Sunday afternoon to look things over and give me an estimate. He call Monday morning and quoted me a price of $50 to mow front and back lawn, weed eat around fence, edge front, and clean up.  I thought that was very reasonable considering I have a corner lot. I also asked him if he could trim bushes in front yard. Pat said he could but would cost a little extra. I told him that was ok and to
please go ahead and do it. He told me he would try to come that afternoon but it would probably be Tuesday morning before he could due to prior work commitments. He did not make it Monday but did show up around 9:30 Tuesday morning. He got right to work. He was through with everything around 11:30. I walked around and looked at what he had done in the front. Everything looked good. I liked the way he trimmed the bushes. He also told me he treated some ant hills and spayed some Roundup on some areas. I thought $60 was very reasonable. After he left I took a look at the backyard. It looked good as well and Pat even blew down my patio which had a lot of pine straw on it. Pat was very nice and thorough. I will definitely use him again. Thanks Pat.

He makes a regular subdivision look like a gated community. He is outstanding. Very personable. If you tell him what you want, he will do it exactly how you ask. For the low dollar amount he charges, the work is unbelievable. Honest, family man. Works above and beyond.
