I had a bad fracture of my wrist 5 months ago. I was treated by Dr. Goldman and his staff. 2 surgeries and many visits later, I am back to 100%. Dr. Goldman and his staff are very professional and caring. The office runs on time (which is hard to find these days)and they are always available. I had to call the answering service on a weekend and got a call back in just a few minutes. Dr. Goldman never made me feel rushed, answered all questions, and provided comprehensive care.

Incredible, wonderful, refreshing, rejuvenating, an exhalation of Tendon Turmoil and the day's stresses. You get the idea. I'll stop there since I'm overdrawn at The Bank of Superlatives.
Jen is one of those rare and special Creations: a naturally gifted practitioner who isn't susceptible to baying at the moon or cluttering up your therapeutic time with gossip about her ex or invitations to her Fashion Trunk Sale.
She knows the mechanics of bodies so well that she knows you've got trigger points before you find out the hard way.
(E.g.; Someone who attended Massage School but isn't intuitive and/or didn't pay attention during Anatomy 101 will smash an elbow into your back and then send for a spatula to scrape what's left of your twitching carcass off the ceiling.)
And she knows her aromatherapy, too.
I've gone into a session wavering between a mood that's lower than a snake's belly in a ditch and the exhilaration that accompanies sinus problems/allergies and 90 minutes later my nose is once again made of cartilage instead of concrete and I'm singing out the door. Something that clears the streets for miles but that's another story.
Jen has both feet on the ground, her heart is in the right place and she has a very good head on her shoulders. I could also add that at no time do her hands leave her wrists and both knees face the same direction but I'm always in such an improved condition after a session with her that, well, I just don't notice.
Any time I can leave the ravages of a career in law enforcement behind is a good and exceptional thing.
I hereby bestow something I rarely do: Trust Jen.

I have really bad arthritis. I've had to have epidural steroid injections for my back. The first time it didn't work but this is not unusual. The second time I went three weeks later and had another set of injections and they have worked very well for me. I wouldn't rate the doctor by the effectiveness of the treatment necessarily because not fifty percent of the people get relief from these treatments and fifty percent don't so it's just the luck of the draw and if we happen to be one of those people. I'm having good results but not everyone might have the same results and that doesn't necessarily reflect poorly on the doctor because not everyone responds the same to the treatment. It's very easy to make appointments and the people there are terrific. They are really nice and really helpful. The doctor herself is excellent and has a great bedside manner. She is very knowledgeable and I feel very comfortable putting myself in her hands. The office environment is pleasant. I've been there twice and I haven't gotten the bill yet. I may not have to have a treatment now since I'm doing well as ever long this treatment lasts. The treatment could last from a week, a month or a year which we never know but I would definitely go back to them.

    Spa Blue
Polly wasn't able to schedule a massage session until early the next week but she did sneak me in two days later for a facial.
And I broke the Fairhope record for getting lost on the way. Three times, thanks to Sylvia the Sociopath GPS. But Polly was gracious each time I called and guided me to the right address without any hint that she considered upgrading her facilities to include a padded room.
Cleanliness, comfort and charm but not pretense.
You know about the Others; the places where Stepford Aestheticians ply their trade and waft through a pastel fog of inoffensive World Music offering herbal teas and mineral water (still or sparkling?). I've been to Sarasota and Boca Raton and I'll take commitment and honest craft over transient attitudes designed to motivate $50 tips per service.
I was able to relax at Spa Blue and that's unusual. Too many years in law enforcement have given me glass shards instead of nerve endings and antenna for anything that's not quite right. There's something about Spa Blue that is just right and I'll be going back.
Perhaps they should change the name to 'The Last Bowl of Porridge.'
    Nah.
Oh, I almost forgot! In addition to the facial, I had three massage sessions and after the first one, my neck stopped sitting up and barking when I tried to turn my head. After the second session, my shoulders moved to a place several inches under my ears and after the third session, I noticed that the sky was blue, life was lovely and the overnight drive from Fairhope to Sarasota was nothing to fear.
Go to Spa Blue. Your chakras will thank you.

    UPDATE: February 2013
Had two more visits with Polly. More than a little disappointed because I provided her with a new bottle of organic massage oil since the product she uses was too thick and had been irritating my skin. (In fairness, I didn't tell her the reason for the bottle, just asked that she use it.) And neither time was the oil used even though I asked about it and it was visible on a shelf in the treatment room. Oh, well.

    UPDATE: July 2013
Contacted provider for two months in an effort to obtain standard/detailed receipts. (Provider's receipts from smartphone Square swipe provide only her name and the amount. No date, location or type of service provided.) Provider originally sent email that she didn't know when my appointments were so she could not provide better receipts unless I sent her the dates. This was done and a month later, I sent more emails requesting these receipts. Still no response until she received the email with a subject line asking whether it would be easier for her to respond to the Better Business Bureau. I then received several blisteringly offensive emails in succession stating that she'd been busy moving and detailing other personal crises in her life.

For compliance with the request for usable receipts, she merely sent a list from her smartphone with her name, the dates I'd provided and the amounts.
Still not usable but I have no desire to communicate again with this individual.

    Albertson, Dr. Carl E
He did a great job of my knee replacement. My husband had two surgeries done on him. Only thing is that last time my husband had a lot of problem with his knee and couldn’t get in to the clinic. He just kind of brushed. They gave me no exact things for five weeks and didn’t do anything first. I was really a little upset with the way he treated my husband. He did other surgeries and everything is fine. I like the man. The nurse is excellent and everybody over there is very nice. For myself it was fine but I was kind of upset about the way he treated my husband.

They do alot of character development and life skills.  They work really on issues with kids with ADHD.  They are an excellent resource and that is what has been benefical to me.
