is an outstanding urologist who has treated me for urology related issues for several years. He is professional, thorough and compassionate." He explains issues with patients and genuinely listens. He does an all around outstanding job. His staff is very accommodating and pleasant. I highly recommend Dr.

"After first Lithotripsy was told have a tumor in my bladder. On second Lithotripsy approx 4 weeks later asked if he got biopsy of tumor. He stated that the tumor" does not bother him, and he wanted to concentrate on the stones. Also stated that 95% of tumors in bladder were benign. After third Lithotripsy asked again about tumor, was given same answer. After fifth Lithotripsy he had nurse call me to state that I still had stones and he could do no more to help me. He wanted me to see a Urologist in Indianapolis. and even found that I now had a second tumor I requested a meeting to find out my current status. At the meeting he informed me that I had one stone remaining in each ureter (i.e both left and right). Instead of Indy went to Dr Stonehill in South Bend. At first interview where I transmitted past x-rays and scan data and verbally explained what current situation was, Dr. Stonhill remarked that he found it disturbing that a biopsy of the tumor had never been done, going on to explain that doing so was easy once he was in there with the Lithotripsy equipment. Had sixth Lithotripsy with Dr Stonehill on 6/27/15, and it was determined that instead of one troublesome stone in each ureter, I actually had several in each side. Dr Stonehill did a biopsy of bladder tumor, and now found that ZI had a second tumor and took a biopsy of that one also. Pathology showed that both were cancerous. I feel that Dr
seriously dropped the ball on me.

Urology and urologists deal mainly with the bladder, urethra and kidney. However, the specialty ultimately involves the entire body because these organs affect many functions and cause serious quality of life issues when they don't work well.

While many surgeons sing the praises of robotic surgery, some say it’s no better than traditional surgical options, despite a higher price tag.

To varying degrees, experts say, prostate cancer treatment affects sexual function in most men, including inhibiting ejaculation, diminishing libido and causing erectile dysfunction.

Urology reviews in Decatur

The appointment was at 330pm. I got there at 315pm. A friend came with me to help me with the question and answer session so we were both taking time off from work that we would have to make up. 330pm came and we did not get called back into one of the rooms. Shortly after a man came out of the back rooms and went to the receptionist and said he had waited 45 min's back there and he had yet to see the Dr. and he had been there since 2pm. He said he would go find another Dr. The receptionist, instead of apologizing for the wait said, "No one else will take your insurance!" So he said he would consider rescheduling and left. About 4pm they called another guy to go to the back rooms and he said he was not going to go back there and wait 45 min's for a Dr. after he'd already been there 45 minutes and he rescheduled with the receptionist. Finally at 430pm we were called back to wait in one of the little rooms. We waited until 530pm and then we left. I advised the receptionist I was very upset because the was supposed to be my "cancer" talk and I had waited 3 weeks to get an appointment when he'd have time to talk to me. She said she was sorry but he was just running behind. NOT ACCEPTABLE! The nurse called me the next day and left me a voice mail to apologize for the long wait and Dr

I love this Doctor. I never have to wait when I get to her office. All paper work is done on an iPad which is great and you can even pay your co pay on the iPad! As soon as I hand them back the iPad they are calling my name to see the dr. She is very knowledgeable and has even had kidney stones herself so she knows my pain'. She is very

thorough and is always up to date on the newest medications she takes the time to answer any questions or explain things. She is very courteous and realizes that your time is important. If they need to do a procedure she will ask you if you have the time to do it and she will tell you how long it will take. The office staff is very friendly and pleasant. Office is clean and has plenty of magazines and a TV . But since I never have to wait I don't get to use them but if you have someone with you it is a

atmosphere to wait in. I highly recommend Dr. Staiman and her staff!!!

They seem to be more interested in running more test than anything else. This appointment was after a prostate biopsy that after it I had to have a catheter in for a week. She did not even examine me on my last appointment. All she wanted to do was run more test and even another biopsy after only 6 months after the last one that went south on me. Looking for another urologist.

picture about how great things were going to be after my radical prostatectomy. However, after 4+ years since the surgery, I am still incontinent, I have erectile dysfunction, and had a incisional hernia because of the incision he made in my abdomen. If you are thinking about getting a prostatectomy, DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. GET A SECOND OPINION. don't RELY ON

I visited this practice a few times due to experiencing a burning issue after urination. I have several complaints.
First, it's apparently impossible to see one of the doctors for something like this. I kept getting passed off to the Nurse Practitioner. No offense to the NP's out there, but while their NP is professional and genuinely wants to help, all he kept doing was giving me more prescriptions. I was on two or three different antibiotics because the NP said my prostate was "wam and inflamed" and he wanted to try calming it down. The last straw for me was, after the antibiotics apparently "failed," when he put me on prescription-strength ibuprofen. I told him I have acid reflux and that the ibuprofen was going to aggravate it. Over-the-counter ibuprofen aggravates my acid reflux slightly whenever I use it for occasional aches & pains, so it was likely prescription strength was to aggravate it even more. The NP basically just told me to "stick it out." This is when I decided it was time for another opinion as I didn't want to give myself heartburn when my acid reflux is under control and potentially create a new problem as a result of the ibuprofen's side-effects.
I wanted to see a physician after nothing the NP had tried was working, and they said I'd have to wait weeks or months (same story as when I made the first appointment). So I called
Decatur Urologists Provider Name Locked
Urology and I got an appointment within 2 weeks. The urologist there sent me for diagnostic imaging to make sure everything was fine and gave me a script for something completely different (Uribel) that worked. Incidentally,

's urologist also did a prostate exam and told me it was fine for a man my age (40). The CT scan and ultrasound he ordered confirmed this (the

NP never ordered any kind of imaging - just urinalysis and bloodwork) and that my bladder and kidneys were fine except for some cysts on my kidneys that appear to be benign.
Go to

Urology. It's worth the trip to Philly and the slightly longer wait in the doctor's waiting room. This practice's doctors apparently don't want to be bothered with you unless you have a major issue, and their NP is simply not effective.

I went to Dr.

for a surgical procedure. Can't say enough good about him. Absolutely the best. Second to none in disposition, bedside manner and surgical skill. Even gave me his home phone number afterward if I had any questions. Best medical professional I've ever worked with. Can't recommend him highly enough.

I was very ill and needed emergency surgery and Dr.
Decatur Urologists Provider Name Locked
drove miles to the hospital and did the surgery around 11:00 pm. He saved my life as I had Septis. He is a doctor who will spend time talking and explaining things to you and your family. He is just the best. I see him for check ups now and will always see him, hope he never leaves his practice.
