If I could leave 0 stars I would. This company was scheduled through our home warranty company to come look at a plumbing issue today. They were scheduled to arrive between 8-10am. When they hadn't arrived by 9:59 and we also hadn't received a phone call, my husband decided to call for a status update. The manager with whom he spoke with was very rude. He told my husband that due to the impending inclement weather, he didn't feel comfortable sending his drivers out today. My husband told him he understood that but would have appreciated a phone call letting us know our service would be delayed. The manager then proceeded to tell my husband that if HE had bothered to watch the weather we would know that there were winter weather advisories in the area. When my husband asked when our service would be rescheduled the manager stated he didn't know because he "can't predict the weather" and then promptly hung up. This company obviously doesn't value customer service and we strongly don't recommend using them.

Family operation that we hired to replace an old fuse box. one thing led to another and he replaced hot water heater with tank-less plumbed/wired it, floored our attic while installing truss system for roof support, and replaced the electrical service.(the roof and attic were a lot of word)... we had bought an old farmhouse outside cullman that is almost 100yrs old. needless to say, it needs some TLC. He cleaned up everyday, everything was in writing up front, no issues of any kind. would not hesitate to hire again. matter of fact, realized I didn't leave review last time looking up his contact information

    American Home Shield Home Warranty
These people are a disgrace to their field. My home came with a home warranty from these people for one year. During said year my hot water heater went out and I called American Home Shield and they told me it would cost about 60 dollars for a service call, which I understood as this is typical of any company. Then however they told me they would be picking the service company that they would be paying to install a new hot water heater.

At this point everything was fine. Then came h*** on wheels. The guy that showed up to provide the service was unprofessional and not at all courteous to say the least. When he finally did show up and check it out I was informed that it would require 450 dollars of work to modify the pipes for the new hot water heater that AHS does not pay for.

This was in May. Since then every month we've had to replace the fuse for the hot water heater on about 10 different occasions.
    Fast forward to November.
I have to call an electrician because the fuse has blown 3 times in the last 30 days and Im on my last electrical fuse as well as my last metaphorical one. The guy shows up and takes the fuse box cover off the wall to show me whats going on. Turns out the wiring that is running to the hot water heater is 12 guage wire which was fine for the old hot water heater, not so fine for the newer one. The wire was burnt. It is going to cost 238 bucks just to reroute the hot water heater to the exterior breaker box and install a new breaker.

I am also upgrading to a breaker box for 450 bucks to avoid problems like this in the future. What angers me is what happens next.

My electrician tells me that the guy didnt use the correct type of pipe on the hot water heater, AND he doesnt think the guy was even licensed because the 450 dollar pipe modification he did was UNNECCESARY! I couldnt believe my ears! The plumber sent by American Home Shield charged me for work he didnt know how to do and as it turns out had no business doing in the first place AND because he didnt wire it correctly I must come out of pocket YET AGAIN!

If you are reading this please please do not ever purchase a home warranty through American Home Shield! This company is shady in their business practices and will do whatever they can to screw you out of your hard earned money!

    Gullion Tile
Andy and his crew did an outstanding job.  They did exactly what they said in the time frame they said it would happen and for the price they quoted.  They gave me the flexibility to change things along the way without changing the price when applicable.  The crew was very respectful of my home and I would definitely recommend to anyone needing tile work or wanting a remodel done to give Andy and his crew the opportunity to help you!!!!!!  Thanks for the job you did Andy!

    Jimmy Carden Plumbing
A very positive experience as always. Jimmy plumbed this house when we built it 17 years ago. He has always come in a very timely manner any time we have called him over the years for any thing plumbing-related. He is totally trustworthy, a good man. I really appreciate that I can rely on him...

It went well as always. I have used them for over 20 years and have never had a complaint. They are always quick to respond and have resolved my problem EVERY time I have called them. I always give them a tip so the amount above includes a tip. I do not remember exactly how much they charged me. I appreciate so much that they are willing to come do such "grunge" work that I feel a tip is the least I can do!!

The local Roto Rooter  franchise owner became angry when we told him we wanted to get a second opinion. He demanded Full payment of his quote of $185.00  and became very rude.
Turns out he had misled us into thinking all we needed were his drain cleaning services, when the real need was to replace an easily repairable cracked pipe that roots had grown in through. In the end we paid a real professional $125 to replace the cracked sewer pipe so that we won't have the problem again,-- unlike Roto Rooter who said we'd probably need him once or twice a year now that roots were in the pipeline.-- by the way,... We also have a friend who told us she has paid him, 3 times a year, for over 10 years.  She called Our repairman, once she heard our story, and he found and repaired her problem, similar but far more pipeline damage, for $235, and cured the problem permanently! You can imagine her feelings--and her savings!
Our advice:  Beware Roto Rooter of Cullman, he may seem nice, but apparently he's just out to make a quick buck.

Blocker Services / Chris Blocker Plumbing
Hired Blocker services to rough in plumbing for new construction in the first week of Feb 2012.At the end of June 2012 he still had not completed work. Hired another plumber to come behind him and found several leaks, sewer and vents with no fall. Had to have most all work redone. after all this and delays, Blocker services still wants to be paid in full. Also, had a 3rd party inspector come in to inspect as well and found an enormous amount of rework needed. He will run you around and talk in circles. Always someone else fault and will never own up. Still wants to be paid in full. They also didnt glue a fitting on a 2" feed line to house and had a blow out run for several days. would not pay or try to correct water bill. said someone else did it.Please dont fall for the "nice guy" or "christian" front !

    Exterior Waterproofing
The owner is Phillip Madden. I have worked with him before and he was therefore first choice when I needed waterproofing at a different home. There were 3 different areas that needed waterproofing. He was able to do two of them and reinforced the third. One meeting is all that was required. Signed contract online. Paid with credit card. He emails pictures all along the way. Work was well done. Structures appear quite solid and dry. He offers a lifetime guarantee. He has been in business for years, I do not ever plan to have another water or structural problem. As stated I used him several years ago and would use him again if needed.

    Jimmy Carden Plumbing
It took him six months to come back and fix a faucet.  I'm not going to use him for the house I'm building.  He has been around for a long time.  I had to call him several times over several months to get him to come out for the faucet.
