Very well. They showed up on time and made what could have been a major project a simple 'fix.' But it was a good fix. Although my house is only 9 years old, the main water supply is galvanized pipe. the pipe had developed a pin hole and was leaking up through the ground above. The plumber employed a collar - probably more substantial than the pipe itself - and I could see that the leak was completely sealed. Some plumbers might have insisted on tearing out the pipe and re-doing the entire supply line, but this should take care of it indefinitely at a far lower cost. The price was fair, I suppose. The pipe was already exposed since the water department came first and dug it up, so he didn't have to dig. He did remove a bit more dirt and he did have to go and get a part, but the part was $15 and the labor was $130. About an hours work I suppose. Not ridiculous, but a little bit pricey.

Arrived on time.  Work completed ahead of schedule.   Courteous.  Although the charge was significant, it was worth it.  They tied into my existing gas line in the attic, ran a long run of copper inside a wall, installed all the valves/connections for a gas stove (was previously using an electric stove.)  You don't want to mess around with gas - I wanted a plumber that I trusted and they didn't disappoint.

Our house was built way back in 1965 and I have no idea if any work has been done to the septic system since it was first installed.  The "pipe" from the bathroom to the septic tank was concrete and it had cracked over the years and roots were growing up into it.  We had it cut out a few months ago but were already having trouble with it again, causing the shower to drain really slow and the toilet to "bubble up" when someone was taking a shower.  So, I called Henson Plumbing and we set up a time for him to come out and take a look at it.  He came exactly when he said he would, knocked on my front door, introduced himself and handed me one of his business cars. We walked to the back where the septic tank was and discussed the matter.  He told me what he could do the job for and then he suggested some other upgrades they could do to make the maintenance a little easier.  I told him we would be putting the house on the market in a few years so he advised me to not do the upgrades in that case.  He was informative but not pushy at all.  I was very impressed with his profesionalism.  We set a time the following week for them to come (weather permitting).  They showed up the following Tuesday morning around 7:15 and got to work.  They finished the repair in less than two hours and then the gentleman came to the door for me to pay him and we talked about exactly what they did.  He answered my questions thoroughly and patiently.  Overall I was greatly impressed and will call on them again for any future plumbing needs.

A gentleman called me on the day they were to come give me an estimate and wanted to come right then. I work from home and told him I was in a meeting and could he call me back later. He then asks could they not just come on over and take a look, that I really did not have to be there. I told him yeah I guess so. So happened my meeting was over when they arrived so I met them outside. The gentleman seemed rushed while he was there. They went to the back and looked around and he gave me the estimate and they left. That was about it. No business card, no introduction, no information about the company. One saving grace was that a few days later I received a nice looking typed estimate in the mail. Of course, by then the work was already done by another company. I would probably use this company if my first choice was not available just because their estimate came in exactly the same so I at least know they do work for a reasonable amount.

On time- explained problem, listed options as to cost, we decided, and he went to work. He wore footie to keep the floors clean, left no mess, and explained everything in non-professional language for us.
