If he can't help you he will send you to someone that can. My visits always go very well with him

Doctors Med Care of Ft. Payne
The clinic is open 7 days a week. Dr. Lewis has a wonderful bedside manner and lots of common sense which is not always the case in more formal medical environments. My experience with internists / family care clinics has been on an emergency basis so this was a bit unusual. My first visit was for bronchitis and my questions about a regular family doctor. I've just moved to NE Alabama from Lakeland, Florida where this was the norm. Dr. Lewis explained that he would be happy to be my regular family doctor. I had to mull this over since it was a new experience. Then I realized that no appointment necessary does have its perks. When you're sick there is no two week waiting which I think we've all experienced. I approached this new experience in total ignorance. Dr. Lewis has what I've come to see as a mini-hospital. I love the doc, the staff is friendly and helpful and I'm getting very comfortable with the setup. The only drawback is during flu season when you do sit in the waiting room with many. I get around most of that by going in when things aren't so busy.

    Clay Rowe MD
I feel like he saved my husband's life by recognizing the signs of heart disease early enough to prevent an inevitable heart attack. None of the symptoms were known to us to be associated with heart blockage, but because Dr. Rowe recognized and ordered up the proper tests; severe life threatening blockages were discovered and treated.

    Cheatham, Dr. Phylecya Y.
It was a general  3 month check up. April, the nurse, takes my blood for lab work done for my diabetes especially an A1-C, which is to check my sugar high average for the last three months.. She also takes my weight and blood pressure.   Then she shows me to a room.  When the Kelly another nurse comes in I am asked about my  health for the last 3 months.  Then I see  Dr. Cheatham is pleased that I have lost weight over the holidays.  I get the results of my A!-C, which are good.  Then Dr. Cheatham  looks me overs and answers any and all questions that I may have.  She also writes any prescriptions that I may need.  After that I go up front to schedule my next appointment for three months down the road.  My three month appointment is now done.

    Thomas Harper MD
He is everything we could ask for in a physician.  He listens, he is engaged, he is concerned and he is genuine.  If he feels you need to be referred to a specialist, he does not hesitate to do so.  We looked long and hard to find a physician in Gadsden that we trust.  He is that primary physician.

    Dale Stierwalt MD
I absolutely love Dr. Stierwalt. He is so smart, sensitive, and has great bedside manner. He had cancer and has to have a leg amputated but it does not stop him from practicing medicine, what he loves to do. I would not use anyone else here, he is great.

I was in within five minutes, had lab test in the office, results were in within 30 minutes, and was seen by Dr Maddox and we discussed the results. I am so glad he is my primary care provider.
