    Service Care Inc
My dryer has stopped working (it's only 1.5 years old) and I had a tech come out to check it out ($140). The tech came to a conclusion that it was a hi limit thermostat. When the part came in (one week later) it took the tech three hours to take my dryer apart and put it back together. Once it was finally put back together he said he cannot turn it on until he calls the service line to make sure everything works. So the third time the tech came out he got everything back together and (surprise surprise) it did not work. The tech said he will have to order another piece. To make a long story short, I had to take off of work three times totaling about 5-6 hours of my time to tell me he doesn't know what is going on. I have been without a dryer for three weeks now and service care (who claims to provide the best service in and around Birmingham) still hasn't fixed anything. They charged me $140 to come out and still could not fix anything. When I have asked for a refund service care just gives me the "run around". I highly do not recommend this company for any types of repair.

I had already looked online prior to visit and decided that it could be a frozen drain so I unplugged fridge for 36 hours and removed ice. Tech. was very nice and said that is what he would advise or do himself if I wanted him to. I decided to try this and arrange another service call if this didn't correct the problem. I was not charged a service call and would highly recommend this company.

This my response to their satisfaction survey: During my most recent visit, the employee did not inspire confidence. He did have on a uniform shirt; but did not do any of the things that the first two guys did, as far as putting covers on shoes, or anything else. Although he said he had many years of experience, he did not seem sure of himself. Did not listen to the full problem or my questions before he went immediately to the icemaker, taking it apart, to check for power to it. I had made it clear that the water filter was stuck, due to a previous service visit from ya'll ( the piece that pushes the filter out was broken by the first one that came to work on it, months ago). I told him that the icemaker was probably not making ice, due to the expired filter and asked him to take it out and put in the new one I had; but he instead began to take the icemaker apart. He checked the power to it, and said I NEEDED A WHOLE NEW ONE. I stated that there was no way I could afford that, and to just put it back together (which he had a LOT of trouble doing). Still was asking him to replace the old filter, and he finally did. He needed adjustable pliers to pull it out; but the new one went in, fine. Full charge for the visit, as he said it was not warranty related. Within an hour of him leaving, the icemaker was working again! I can provide a dated picture as proof. Worked well for about a month and a half and now has stopped again. Honestly, out of the 3 different repairmen ya'll have sent, the first and this guy were not great. Only the second guy ya'll sent, was on the ball. I'm once again back to buying ice, and after much work and expense, I'm just about right where I started, months ago. Am very disappointed, overall, and will be updating my review on Angie's List.

Well, after two techs and 6 visits, the icemaker was fixed and fridge side door gasket replaced. Long story - Tech #1 misdiagnosed the problem as door gasket causing the problem. Replaced it... didn't fit well. Replaced it again, the magnet came out of the bottom. After that, I requested another tech, named Marc, who was on the ball. Even so, with parts ordered, etc. it took 3 visits to get the icemaker fixed. Marc put the gasket on correctly and the fault was finally diagnosed as a cracked water line to the icemaker. I would use them again, for sure. They never gave up until it was right. After the first visit payment for the gasket replacement, they didn't charge anything for subsequent visits.

    S & S Appliance Parts & Service LLC
I would give S&S Parts and Service "zero" stars if it was possible. Requested service for a Maytag Centennial top-loading washing machine that was leaking from the bottom during the wash and spin cycles. Service technician came out, shined a flashlight in the tub, and stated "he could not find the problem. He did not remove the panel to inspect any of the internal parts as a possible cause for the leaking, i.e., inner or outer tub, tub seal, pressure switch, fill valve, any of the internal hoses, belts, ejector assembly, and water pump or its bearings. This technician is too stupid and lazy to be an appliance service technician. The washer continued to leak, and S&S appliance was called for the second time. The same technician came to the house. Again, he DID NOTHING as before to determine the source of the leakage. He shined his flashlight into the tub, and stated "it was a mystery to him why the water was leaking from the washer." He said that we will just have to call this washer the "Mystery Machine just like in Scooby-Doo." NEVER CALL NOR USE S&S APPLIANCE PARTS AND SERVICE FOR REPAIR OF ANY TYPE OF MAJOR APPLIANCE. THEY HAVE HORRIBLE AND IGNORANT SERVICE TECHNICIANS. YOUR MONEY WILL BE WASTED WITH NO REPAIR MADE TO YOUR APPLIANCE.

The tech Sam cam out on time.... Fix the problem but ran into another problem a week later with the dryer. I call Mr.Appliacne back and they came back out, after the tech left the dryer would not heat nor rotate. I email the company and the the owner personally email me back and apologize for the inconvenience and let me know someone will contact me first thing in the morning which someone did. They ask me would I prefer a refund or another tech to come out, I decided to get a refund. Even though my dryer wasn't fix , the customer service was superb. I ended up buying a brand new dryer. I will definitely use them in the future, because great customer service is extremely hard to find these days.

Repairman determined the problem, ordered the needed part and called me 4 days later to say the part had arrived. He came out , installed the part and was on his way! Excellent results! He was prompt, very pleasant and courteous. Charge was very reasonable. Will not hesitate to use them again.

We're delighted-- we thought we'd have to replace the stove (it IS 30 years old, after all!!) because we couldn't get to the wire leading to the element.  Josh was came on time, was cheerful, efficient , and effiective.  The Angie's list discount really helped us out, too.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

    Appliance Connection
I had been a customer of Complete Appliance Protection, Inc., for only two months when my refrigerator stopped cooling properly.  I called the company and they were very courteous and responsive.  They quickly gave me names and numbers of two repair companies close to me and I called the closest, Appliance Connection.  .  They also were courteous and helpful and set up an appointment for the next day.  Matt, the service technician, ran a few minutes late on a job across town but called and said he would be about 30 minutes late.  When he arrived he was courteous and professional and went right to work.  He checked the compressor, cleaned the condenser, and checked other things.  He concluded that no repairs or replacements were necessary and gave us instructions for maximum cooling of the refrigerator and freezer sections.  Prompt, reliable service and no problems since.  Complete Appliance Protection handled the entire cost.

The service and experience were excellent. I was able to schedule service over the phone promptly. On the date of service, I was running a little late and was able to call and was informed the technician would wait since he was actually ahead of schedule. The work was don't efficiently and the dryer has been working just fine. However, I think their parts are a little pricey. Overall, I was pleased with the services provided and the technician, Witten, in particular. I would use this company again.
