The men (TJ and Don Justin) showed up on time and were very professional.  The looked under the house and could hear the water, but weren't finding anything leaking down there.  They then came into the house (wearing shoe protecters) and found the back toilet running.  Don Justin not only fixed it, but tightened up a few other things on the toilet (tank and seat).  They also did an inspection of the plumbing and found that the seal under our shower was loose and so they tightened that as well.  I am sure that saved us from a much larger problem in the future.  The men answered every question that we asked and were very friendly.  They have a yearly service plan, but I was not at all feeling pressured to sign up.  We told them we would like to get to know them as a company first.  If their first impression continues, then we will be signing up for the plan shortly.  The rates for the plan are lower than our current plan for just the heating and air conditioning.  They also cover plumbing and electrical inspections.  All in all, a great company to deal with.

Conditions were terrible but puro came on the job, went to work to find the water damage, They worked as a team to make a bad situation into a positive situation, for me. They went above and beyond by taping down electrical cords, taping around rough edges of tile, assuring my home was safe to stay there. They were very courteous and professional, reacting to my needs, to get my home back in order. They checked the house every day to assure the damage was drying out. I would hire them again and again. Thank you Puro.

Called Complete Restoration Services to get an evaluation performed on some water damage restoration work performed by another company. Jason came out right away, identified several problems missed by the other company and gave a recommendation on the path forward. His knowledge of the problem and paths forward were very valuable and well worth the time.

The commode valve in the master bathroom failed while we were out of town, so full water pressure was "watering" the house for two days or so.  After another service came initially to dry things out but ultimately pulled up most of the subfloor to the floor joints, McMunn Construction came in for the restoration work.  It was more restoration than remodeling, although we did upgrade here and there in the process (flooring throughout, master bathroom vanity and counter top, master bathroom shower, and replaced 15 year-old water heater). Roger and his crew were always a pleasure to work with; quite accommodating, very polite, and responsive to phone calls or emails.  There was always someone working when someone was scheduled to work.  When it came to sheetrock work, they didn't hesitate to do a little extra repair in other locations when asked.  In the utility room, there was one wall that had growth records for our three children which they cut out for us (so that we could otherwise preserve it when the room was repainted) and replaced at no extra charge. I appreciate very much the solution to provide additional wall support that was needed due to the subfloor replacement. Repair took several weeks longer than the anticipated three weeks or so, but it was not the fault of McMunn Construction.  While some of the delay is attributable to two of McMunn's subcontractors (both involved in supplying and installing the upgraded shower), most of the delay was due to 1) our tying together the new shower wall with a new vanity countertop, and 2) multiple problems with getting a new vanity in a timely manner, which was our responsibility. Price was quite reasonable.  Although we did spend more than what insurance covered, the extra is attributable to the upgraded flooring, upgraded shower and vanity and its countertop, and replacing the water heater. For me to award an "A" in quality, practically every detail including finish work, would have to be perfect, and that would be hard to find in most contractors.  So, there were a few things, particularly in finishing work, that were not "perfect," but nothing to "get all tore up about."  We replaced much of the flooring with ceramic tile, and McMunn's "tile guy, " Tony, did an excellent job.  So, I came close to awarding an "A" for quality for McMunn overall, but it's certainly a strong "B." Again, Roger and his crew were very responsive. If a problem was evident (e.g., omitting a place in the utility room floor for heating/AC vent and for the dryer vent even after the ceramic tile was in), they responded very well to rectify that. Not that this was a problem at all with McMunn Construction, just keep in mind when using any contractor, to have the work that's needed to be done clearly defined including details that you might tend to assume will be provided.

We cross-referenced Angie's List and the Better Business Bureau and came up with the McMunns.  Super easy to work with Roger and his son on this project, which was a partial renovation of a 105 year old house so that my wife and I could sell and move to a new house.  We did a thorough walk through of the property with them initially ... they really listened to what we wanted to have done and suggested approaches and alternatives.  They produced for us an itemized punch list to choose from, stuck with us as items had to change (like wall paint color), scoped down work when leaky pipe damage was not as extensive as expected and didn't charge us the full price for the task, and just knocked out a quality job all around in a reasonable amount of time.  The repairs to the wall and flooring where a drainage pipe from the upstairs bathroom had cracked and leaked inside a wall was particularly noteworthy.  You wouldn't know a section of the original plaster wall and tongue and groove flooring had been replaced unless you had lived there before ... they did that good of a job matching the stain to the original adjacent floorboards.  I can't tell you how happy I was to walk through the house with their contract/punch list in hand and see the quality job they did on every single them we asked them to do ... nothing left out ... nothing done half way.  I would absolutely recommend them ... and we will be calling them back for some work on our new house (another 100+ year old gem, in need of tender loving care).

I first contacted Roger McMunn in the fall of 2014 about removing our existing wood deck and replacing it with a covered concrete patio. While at the house to figure his initial estimate, Roger listened patiently to all of our questions and concerns and gave us good input on different size options, the placement of the patio, etc. His estimate was affordable and he also gave us different estimates for different size options we had discussed previously. The project was put on hold due to bad weather and uncertainty from my wife and I about the patio size. We didn't get in touch again until January 2015 when Roger checked in on us to see if we were still interested. I informed him we were and asked if he could give us an estimate for a larger patio size which included an extra six feet of uncovered concrete to one side. Roger gave us the final estimate which was still affordable and later sent us a Scope of Work document with all of the details of the project. I brought up a few questions/concerns regarding some of the more specific details in the proposal. Roger addressed every single one to my satisfaction and sent out a revised Scope of Work document.  Work began on February 10th, 2015. On this first day, Roger and other members of his work crew took down our old wood deck and excavated the area to prepare it for the concrete slab. This included taking down a few shrubs and later setting up the forms for the slab. The next day another crew poured the concrete. Roger was in constant contact with me to inform me what was going on and even made sure the larger trucks avoided driving into our back yard so as to minimize any damage to the grass. Later that afternoon, the concrete was taking longer than expected to set up (due to the moisture in the air), but Roger's concrete crew stayed with it (until almost 8:00 that night!) until the concrete in the slab finally got set. The next day another crew arrived to install the metal patio cover. This included taking down a section of our existing gutter and attaching the cover the existing wood fascia. On the final day (the 13th), Roger, his son, and another worker arrived to install a set of concrete steps and a handrail while the patio cover crew arrived to finish the cover installation. Roger continued to be present to address any questions/concerns I may have had. At some point, one of the trucks that drove onto our driveway had accidentally pulled a suspended cable (for our house internet connection) that hangs over our driveway. Roger's son and his work partner hung the cable back to its proper place (actually in a better spot than before) and later brought to my attention a problem with my roof which I was unaware of (a problem I confirmed with other roofers who looked at it later that month). After a week or two, during a good rain, I noticed a slight water leak forming over the center part of the patio cover. I contacted Roger about the problem and he immediately contacted the head of the patio cover crew who then called me to address the problem. His crew came out in a few days, fixed the leak, and so far we have not had any further issues. We are very happy with our new patio and look forward to using it a lot this coming summer and in the coming years. Roger McMunn is extremely professional, friendly, easy-going, and patient, and is always ready to address a customer's questions or concerns. I would highly recommend his contracting company and will certainly keep him at the top of our list for any possible future projects.

All work was done in a professional manner with exceptional attention to detail.  Business owner supervised the work, and was more than willing to work with the home owner and insurance adjuster to ensure repairs were done right and within the insurance payment allowance.  I highly recommend this business for any home restoration and remodeling work.  At the end of the work, the house was in better shape than before the incident.

Contractor was very responsive to my calls and text. To my surprise the contractor genuinely put the customer first. Trust was built. Contractor followed through on all contract requirements without issue. Contractor stated that upon completion, the repaired house would like it did prior to the water damage. And it did. The contractor was very accommodating to repeating work if issues were found e.g. repainting crown molding where (paint) tape had left a mark on the wood; or where anything might have required "retouching". Contractor wanted to make it right. Contractor was very accommodating with my request to have all Mortgage company checks flow through me first, prior to going to the contractor. During move-out the contractor moved swiftly to complete work that was required prior to family moving back in, in order to lessen the number of days the family was displaced in temporary accommodations (hotel).
