    Alabama Pain Center
I was a patient for many years at the Alabama Pain Center. I have no complaints about any of the services I received. I went through the classroom sessions and learned a lot about pain and how other people react to a person in chronic pain, especially if they know about your meds. I felt less alone than before. Once I was able to go to a monthly prescription (finish the classes) I knew that pill counts and random drug screens were a part of the process. I also needed a sleep specialist for Restless Leg Syndrome and the doctor came up with a med that helped both my back and my legs. I still had some pain, but a 3 is better than a 6 or 7! Why only a C you ask? A few months ago, I came in to find I was one of 200 or so patients that were being removed from the practice. Financial reasons was the reason given. That was my last appointment. I left with a 30 day prescription and was told to wean myself off the meds. I even respect their right to decide which patients to see. My unhappiness stems from the lack of help in finding a new doctor. You cannot get into a pain practice without a referral and I would have appreciated a little guidance and help in after care. I will say this review is written from the standpoint of a former patient who has not been able to sleep more than an hour at a time in four days due to my restless legs. I think it is fair but I’ll read it again after a good night’s sleep. If I can achieve that again!

    Collins, Dr. Ronald L.
They treat him very well. Time wise, they get behind and you need to sit under a wall before they actually see you. They see a lot of people though. The waiting room is always packed.

I like that they are just kind, easy to talk to, and do a good job in helping to get rid of pain. They are just great overall people. They are just really good. I enjoy being with them. I do not have any problems with them. They are just nice people.

    Collins, Dr. Ronald L.
Dr. Collins, his physician's assistants, and other staff are excellent. They truly care about the patients and want to help them as much as possible. I believe this is a rarity with medical practices these days. They have given me not only excellent medical services, but support and encouragement. Be prepared to wait, but believe me, it is well worth it.

    Michael Cosgrove MD
Saw Dr Cosgrove for lower back pain. Initially he gave me steroids which seemed to do the trick. Then I re-injured my back and when the pain became bad, decided to try the spinal steroid s***/block for pain. He did the procedure and immediately knew I had bigger problems because the pain block did not work at all. He immediately took me to Dr Freudenbergers office across the hall and explained to him that the procedure had no effect. Turns out I had a fragmented disk-- and nothing but surgery would fix the issue. The fact that the pain block didn't work was not Dr Cosgrove's fault at all. I am grateful that he realized the issue was more serious and was able to get me to the surgeon the very same day. I definitely liked his bedside manner and his help in getting me into a surgeon immediately probably saved my life.

    Bodywork for Healing, LLC
I own two businesses and work 12-16 hour days 6 days a week, which is very stressful. Nadine helps massage that stress, tension, and aches away. The reike is so relaxing, that I can zone out for awhile. If I tell her something is hurting, she will spend extra time in those areas. Very professional. I highly recommend Nadine Wormsbachee.

    Michael Cosgrove MD
He seems to be a nice guy. He gets down to the point. You can ask questions but he pretty much answers your questions before you can ask them. He's got a nurse practitioner that comes in and helps him out when he gets overloaded with patients. The nurse practitioner seems to be as knowledgeable as Dr. Cosgrove. He explains everything to me as well. As for punctuality, you know how doctors are. He talks to me at length. He doesn't rush in and in five minutes tell me what he wants and then rush to the next room to fit in as many patients as he can. He may be five or ten minutes late for the appointment but it's to be expected with a doctor. You don't know what he's found with someone else and he might need to explain more to them. I am on Medicare so I haven't received any bills. He's my go-to guy now.

    Aligned Chiropractic & Decompression Center
I walked into the office and was met by a friendly receptionist. I was the only person there. I was later told she schedules new patients an hour apart to allow adequate time. If you did have to wait, there is a very nice area to sit. It appears warm and friendly. I went into the exam room where Dr. Holland went over my paperwork and asked me more pointed questions regarding my pain/discomfort. Dr. Holland performed a light touch diagnostic of my spine and hip joints to further evaluate my condition. She was extremely pleasant, let me know exactly what she was doing, and explained how each finding was relevant to me. We then went to the therapy room where, again, Dr. Holland performed an ultrasound on my upper back and neck and then on my lumbar area and SI joint. She explained exactly how the ultrasound helped in my condition and the overall lasting future effects. AFter the ultrasound, we went back to the exam room where she did her initial manipulations of the regions of concern. She talked through the entire treatment, letting me know exactly what was going on. She was gentle but firm. She seemed very genuine and concerned with my issues. She asked if I felt any relief from the initial treatment, which I did not at the time, but I waited until my back was in a critical state before seeking treatment. After a couple of hours at home, I did note that my lower back was not as uncomfortable. She wanted to hold off on taking any x-rays due to the large amount of inflammation. I understood her to indicate that taking x-rays when I was this inflamed would not show a true picture. I have been to other chiropractors over the past many years and Dr. Holland is definitely someone I will be going back to.

    Jampala, Dr. Vijayanarayana R.
I have fibromyalgia and am disabled. It took years to be diagnosed. Once diagnosed, I found that the doctor treating me seemed uninterested in helping and actually seemed not to believe fibromyalgia existed, though he was touted as the best for this disease. A family member suggested Dr. Jampala and I am so very grateful. He takes great interest in my case and spends as long as I need during visits. I recommend him to anyone having difficulty, especially with fibromyalgia

They really try to control pain and not throw pills at you. Still go there. Very compassionate and appointments are pretty much on time.
