    Mcm Services
My rental house ducts had gotten moldy, likely due to a poorly installed (by another company) A/C unit replacement in 2008. I had previously contacted nearly a dozen other companies. None seemed interested in performing the work, and the quotes I did receive were ridiculous (on par or above a brand new installation, $7500-15000). MCM was referred to me by a sheet metal fabricator, whom I contacted after determining that I would probably have to do the work myself. MCM sent Matt to promptly inspect my system. He prioritized my job, and was able to start on it within a week. The next lowest contractor ($7500 quote) had given me a 3-4 week lead time before work could begin. Matt gave me a NTE (Not To Exceed) quote, which seemed reasonable due to the age and condition of my system, as well as the fact that nearly everything was going to need to be custom fitted. In the end, MCM came in $500 under budget, even with a few necessary changes and modifications along the way. Though some less expensive materials (most notably, flexible trunk duct to replace the existing sheet metal square duct) were substituted along the way, the quality of the work was never compromised. All of the issues I had uncovered were corrected, plus additional issues that Matt found and pointed out (one vent boot was missing and adapter ring, another wasn't properly anchored, and the end of a run wasn't sealed well). He also installed a slide-out furnace filter with a high MERV rating to replace 2 poorly constructed returns that were undersized and didn't seal well. Finally, he replaced the return box with a new custom fabricated return box. The return is located in the only conceivable place it can fit in that house, and is probably the worst possible place for it. It is constrained by a supporting beam, a floor support, and a stairway leading to the basement. Matt was able to design a custom box that gave my renters nearly 16 extra inches of room at the bottom of the stairs. I've personally cut my head open more than once on the old box, so I'm personally very grateful that he was able to accomplish this. Matt was conscientious of the renters' belongings, cleaned up after himself, and hauled away the old refuse. Professional from start to finish. The second best part is that Matt did quality work on his own. In Huntsville, I've had incredible difficulty finding contractors who take pride in the correctness and quality of their work. Most I've had to watch like a hawk, and they still try to cut corners, mess things up, conceal problems, and worst of all, steal. I started off watching Matt, as I would any other contractor, then checked his work as it was completed, and finally built up enough trust in him to simply let him do his job. Not once did I see anything that wasn't top notch work. The best part was that Matt listened to my concerns, as well as the concerns of my renters, in performing his work. He was able to make a few on-the-fly adjustments to satisfy everyone involved. As I had convinced myself that I was going to have to do this myself, I tried to get a little smarter on HVAC. Matt listened to ALL of my ideas, explaining why the bad ones should be panned (putting a return only in the basement), adopting the good ones (heh, can't think of any off the top of my head), and explaining why he was doing both. As an engineer, this helped me immensely to understand what he was doing and why. The results are that the renters and I are both happy with the new return duct, the renters' allergies are much better, there is no more musty smell, the airflow from the vents is stronger, and the air conditioner runs quieter and less frequently to maintain the same temperature. I'm glad to know a good, reasonable company that I can trust when I have HVAC issues in the future. Matt explained that MCM is a company that has a long track record in commercial HVAC and refrigeration, and is expanding into residential services. I'm confident that they are here to stay, and will not hesitate to call them when I need any future work done.

    ITS NOT PAINT
I found  IT'S NOT PAINT  with a Google search and proceeded to call for information. Spoke with Jesse and was given an e-mail address to send a photo and dimensions. Shortly thereafter I received a quote of $400 to do the exterior only. (This was what I wanted.) We made arrangements for me to drop the item off and that went well. We had some difficulty getting the material ordered (it wasn't currently available) but Jesse communicated very well and told me the options. I had expected to wait a full two weeks for materials to become available but approximately one week later, I received a phone call letting me know my lockers were competed.  When we arrived to pick up, Jesse stated that the project just "didn't look right" with the interior left undone, so at no additional cost to me, he went ahead and did the interior too!  The lockers look great....like new. Jesse is a first-class operator and I would not hesitate to do business with him again, anytime. Job well done.

    A+ Welding & Fabrication, LLC
We contacted  A+ Welding to replace all of the wrought iron fence, light posts, and gates at the pool deck after our extensive landscape, stonework, and pool deck expansion.   They were  able to fit us  in on their  tight schedule so our yard would be ready for our family reunion.  Their estimate was precise and  the quality of work was excellent.  They were punctual and highly professional.  We called them  back a week later  to build another gate on our pool fence since the quality of work and performance on the first job was outstanding.  I will highly recommend Jason McNatt, the owner, and his company to anyone needing welding, fabrication, and restoration.  They are  honest, dependable, knowledgeable, and are hard workers.  They cleaned up after their jobs and won the approval of my Stone Landscaper for future recommendations as well.

    Discount Vinyl Siding
Service was done timely. It just does not look as professional as I would like. Had vinyl before that fitted better. Pieces do not fit cleanly. He saves money by using scraps so short pieces of trim all up wall. Also cigg butts all in flower beds and I had to repaint what I paid him to paint. If I could do it over id forked over more money for professional job. U get what u pay for.

    Metal Masters
Metal Masters was told to fix all the problem areas from the prior poor installation done by another company. The owner agreed and bid $3500. They redid the flashing around the chimney and took off most of the roof panels and reattached them. They did some metal fabrication to reattach those panels properly. I paid them the quoted price. Time passed and I saw that there was a new water stain in one area of the sun room ceiling. The reason it took a while to see the water stain is that the insulation was absorbing the water from the leak. My husband and I decided to remove that area of drywall and the insulation batting above it so that we could see what the problem is. It was then that we discovered the leak. I contacted Metal Masters on 12/27/16 and they came out to look at it on 12/28/16. In the sun room, they saw the leak and how the roof plywood is rotten. We climbed on top of the sun room roof and Metal Masters pointed toward the panels behind the chimney. “There’s where the leak is coming from,” the owner said, “We’ll fix it.” I told the company owner we needed to wait until after the insurance adjuster came out before we begin repairs. The adjuster came out on 12/29/16 and said that the repairs they would cover (the drywall repair) do not exceed my deductible, so there would be no payment. The insurance adjuster said, “We do not cover rot and we do not cover poor installation.” The adjuster asked to see the invoice from Metal Masters—with the list of what they did and the price. The insurance adjuster stated that for what Metal Masters charged me, they should remove the rotten plywood and replace it, install Storm Guard water barrier in that area, and rework the roof panels behind the chimney at no additional cost since the job they agreed to do was to “fix the poorly installed roof in all areas.” “They charged you a lot for what they did,” the adjuster said. However, I am willing to pay for the additional supplies that would be needed if Metal Masters would supply the labor at no additional cost. I called the owner of Metal Masters immediately after the adjuster left on 12/29/16 and told them that there would be no insurance payment. I told him the adjuster suggested the Storm Guard and the owner said that is a "very good idea." He said, “If you don’t hear from me in a day or two, call me.” After the New Year holiday, I have called and texted daily starting on Monday, 1/2/17 through today. The calls go to voice mail, the email and texts go unanswered. I sent multiple emails to the only email address I was provided, which does not go to the owner since he does not use computers, but to a female relative of the owner (daughter, wife, sister—not sure). She responded to me on 1/5/17 that the owner’s phone was lost. I asked her if she could loan her phone to the owner after she got home from work so that he could call me. She replied that she often goes days or even weeks without seeing him. However, she is the person who prepares the estimates and sends them via email. No one has called and I have come to the realization that no one intends to call. All I ask is that the repair be made with no additional labor charges. I am willing to pay for additional supplies. It is a fair request because the whole point of my contract with Metal Masters in Feb 2016 was to have a non-leaking roof. I did not get what I contracted for. The picture is the ceiling damage I sustained in my sun room from the roof leak. The plywood roof is rotten and must be replaced and a few new roof panels will need to be fabricated and installed.

    ITS NOT PAINT
It's Not Paint came highly recommended. I met with Jese Hawthorne to see his work & get a quote. The quote was acceptible and the work we were shown looked good. So the bikes were dropped off to him  and the powder coating done. I picked the bikes up on 5/18/12 wrapped them on blankets to protect them from hitting each other while transporting them and gave them to my mechanic on 5/20/12. When my mechanic started working on

    Jeremy McKinney
Mr. McKinney provided excuse after excuse, ultimately never showing up to do the work, nor providing any materials I paid for.  He stopped responding and I am currently using legal resources to get my refund.  Do not use this person.
