    Nutritional Parenteral Home Care
They were very prompt and very professional. They were very studious in explaining to the patient what they are doing, what their expectations are, and what you could expect. They were just very caring and knowledgeable. They were good with their communication and everything. They were very good in interacting with my mother.

They were reliable. They did a good job and treatment. They made sure that when I get this infusion my bed was covered, so if we had a leak, I would not mess up my bedspread.

Home Instead Senior Care - Huntsville
I called to inquire about Home Instead Senior Care services, met with them, and initiated companion service for my wife in April 2013.  Everything has gone extremely well with the companions staying with my wife - very pleasant, caring, and professional. Very flexible when the need for adding additional shifts arises.

They do an excellent job.  I have a primary caregiver Kalicia Sledge that takes care of me, and she does a great job.  She has never taken a day off, and I know that I can rely on her.  She works very hard for me, and I am very appreciative.

We were satisfied with their services and we would use them again if we had to. They were prompt, courteous, and well mannered. They were just all around good people and I would tell others that they did us right. They were on time all the time and they only came late once which they called to tell us which we can't complain about. Their staff was very friendly and my wife was real pleased with them. We never had any problems with their billing and I would definitely use them again in the future.

Each therapist was punctual, encouraging, and professional.  They have a 24/7 hotline for nursing advice.  After hours & weekends, your call goes to a call center, and a nurse returns the call.  They worked with my mom for approximately 6 weeks until she was released from therapy.

    CATHY P DAVIS
I can't say enough good things about Mrs. Davis. The only reason she will be no longer working for my Mom is that we have recently moved to a one level house, so I can take care of her myself. She is honest and truly cares about her client. You can't do any better, I don't think. The $480.00 number is what she was paid per week. There didn't seem to be a way to say that in the form.

    Linda Brackin Home Healthcare Provider
She employed additional girls that would come in the home and perform the services.  I paid Linda directly in order to pay the girls.  I paid her $12 an hour and she said that she would pay the girls $8 an hour and eventually phase herself out of the service and pay them $12 an hour.  She stated she would increase their pay $.50 every three months as the facilitator.  She never phased herself out of the work and never paid the girls more than $8 an hour.  She would charge me overtime and ask for advances in pay for the other girls that she would never pay out to them.  I would pay $500 bonuses to them during the holidays and $100 on their birthdays, which they also never received. I provided a car for them to take my parents to various appointments.  While having a conversation with one of the girls, she mentioned that she was having to use her personal car for those appointments.  When I asked her why when the car I was providing was available, she stated that Linda had been using it.  She ended up putting over 7,000 miles on my father's car over three months and charging me for the mileage. Also, there was no accountability of my mother's pain medication.  There were several times when pills would come up missing with no explanation.  Additionally, I asked that they log my parents' sleep and noticed that while Linda was there, they would sleep nearly 24 hours a day.  Typically, they would sleep in 2-3 hour increments.  When speaking with one of the girls she mentioned that Linda had stated that she would heavily medicate my parents so she wouldn't have to deal with them.  She explained to me that they felt so comfortable with her that they just slept.  I just want to make others aware to stay away from her.  She is a typical con-artist; she came off as kind and nice.  I trusted her with my parents and my money.  After recalculating since 2007, we have discovered that she has taken over $26,000 from us.

Home Instead Senior Care - Huntsville
The company provided competent care givers the first month then the care givers began to be increasingly negligent giving the wrong meds at the wrong time of day example(gave morning meds at nightime and night time meds in the morning) The meds were clearly labeled in plastic pill containers with snap lids. One caregiver did not provide a breakfast for the senior lady and senior had to contact daughter to go buy breakfast and bring it to her. One caregiver allowed senior, who was a fall risk, to climb out of a recliner with the foot rest up and senior fell and bruised herself. Frequently caregivers would leave trash out and gloves laying around and towels on the floor. One caregiver who was training to be a nurse told the senior that she had a bladder infection and told all the other care givers that the senior had a bladder infection. The senior became very upset and scared. The caregiver told the daughter about the bladder infection and the daughter said she would take care of that but the care givers job was not to upset the senior with her "medical opinion". The senior was checked and had no symptoms and no infection. Senior was bruised on her arms many times because the caregivers did not put a pull sheet in the bed with the senior and would pull the senior by her arms. Senior was never excersised and was allowed to stay in bed all day on weekends. After several weeks of poor care and repeated calls to Joyce Brasher the daughters threatened to call a lawyer. The company then removed services with less than one week notice. The company then contacted other health care service companys such as Visting Angels, and warned them about the family so that the family could not obtain competent caregivers. When the daughter questioned Joyce about the caregiver that was diagnosing the senior with a bladder infection then Joyce said that it never happened and that the family was lying. Stay away from Home Instead on Spring Gate road in Southeast Huntsville, Alabama if you value the safety and welfare of your loved ones.
